Property Ratings at Farmingdale Gardens
Electric range and oven. The doorways were literally crooked, all they did was paint over anything they could. Door jams, light switch covers, everything was just painted over. The Maintenance man Joe was 100% a great guy. He was always kind and courteous. Always waved while walking his dog. If there was any issues Joe made it a point to check it out within 24 hours. However, the leasing agent Vita, was short, rude and would not respond if you emailed something she did not like. Neighbors were great, and it’s a friendly area. The other problem is they continue to build new strip malls around the property. The apartment deck was practically falling apart. It wasn’t painted, the wood was splintering and the support shafts looked super worn out. The ceiling in the hallway was cracked in multiple places and had preexisting water damage. The floors are all uneven so my fridge door and kitchen drawers would stay open or open themselves. There was a severe ant problem so that shows how solid the foundational job is. The hot water tanks are tiny and hot water lasted about 30 minutes. Not enough laundry machines. Constantly raising rent for $75+ a year with no excuse other than “market fluctuations.” All in all, management was abysmal, maintenance was wonderful and helpful. Neighbors are super friendly.

Farmingdale gardens is a great place to live, it is pet friendly which is extremely difficult to find in Monmouth country. You’re centrally located in a nice quiet development. Only 15 minutes from belmar beach and 20 minutes from asbury. Our neighbors are amazing everyone is very friendly. Vita Hazelrigg the rental agent is always accommodating, knowledgeable, easy to speak to, and always pleasant when you call her. My husband and I love living here.
My girlfriend and I have been living here since August and the staff & neighbors have been nothing but nice to us. The appliances that come with the apartment are great, the balconies are spacious and great for having company over. Whenever we have a problem with anything, Vita Hazelrigg, the rental manager, goes above and beyond to be available to send help or answer any questions we have. She's awesome!
Lived here for 3 years, never had any issues with staff or neighbors. Everyone keeps to themselves, if you have any maintenance issues they are pretty fast to accommodate. This is a good place to live, of course it’s cheap and with that comes no in apartment laundry or dishwasher but what do you expect for the price. There’s nothing spectacular about Farmingdale gardens but for the price, location, and understanding of what you get for your money, then this place is ideal to start off on your own or wherever life takes you. PRC was always very friendly and accommodating. I def recommend this complex as I enjoyed it and I’m sure you will. Only thing you have to get over is the smelly carpet in the hallway, other than that there are no complaints. Once you grasp the concept of value then you’ll understand what you pay is what you get, and for the price you get a nice place to call home.
Property Manager at Farmingdale Gardens, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your comments we appreciate the nice review. PRC Management
We are extremely happy living here. It's quiet - sometimes too quiet. We have a great little apartment. The property Manager is awesome. Whenever I've had a n issue, maintenance comes the same day. The Management office off site is hard to get in touch with and not easy to deal with if you do get in touch with them. That's the reason I can't give 5 stars.
It's a nightmare. The buildings are falling apart. The maintenance crew takes many breaks throughout the day and show up whenever they want if at all. It takes forever to receive a call back from anyone. Very unorganized and the mold is atrocious. The rent here is cheap for a reason.
for living is best place but when you empty appartment they charge lots of money. I lived there for 6 years and after six years i empty the appartment . i clean that my self and there is a normal wear n tear if you live there for 6 years same appliances. and they charge me $80 general cleaning $120 extra cleaning stove & oven $43.50 for replace windows.$120 for extra cleaning bathroom. $52.50 for replace missing towel bar. $20 remove tack paper around stove. before i empty my appartment 2 month prior they sent me court notice for not paying rent and made me pay that rent plus court fee plus late fee. i had to go through money order companies and get the record of my cleared money order . i had to spend $35 for record of that my money order and showed them . but i had to go through lots of hassle to prove that i paid the rent. and now they charge me total $435.00 for all this so just make sure when you empty appartment . and while you live there make sure you have new appliances.
I love where the apartments are located and how they are designed, I'm very sure i would love living there if there are any vacancys at the time i need one. Please keep me updated on any new changes with the apartments. Thank you.
I had a great experience speaking to the manager she is very easy going and friendly.
