Middletown/Goshen is an area about 70 miles north of New York that surrounds Interstate 84 and Highway 17. This wooded community is an ideal mix of residential, natural, and modern areas. Modern amenities like the Galleria at Crystal Run, hotels, and the Garnet Health Medical Center can be found at the Highway 17 and Interstate 84 intersection. Golf courses, parks, and the Wallkill River provide residents with outdoor recreation. Most of the Middletown/Goshen rentals can be found towards the center of the region, and they range from mid-rise apartments to suburban homes. Just outside of the neighborhood, residents have access to massive state parks, New York Stewart International Airport, and more great amenities.

Property Ratings at The Park At Main
They will raise your rent after a year. Beware that the property management team who owns the place is difficult to get ahold of if you have any issues regarding increases. A lot of units have had problems with their central a/c and will give you a window unit for an accommodation but expect that the repairs will take almost 8 weeks at best to fix. You will have higher a higher electricity bill and they will not reduce rent or help pay for the bill although this is advertised as a “luxury” and you’re paying that price for it. It looks nice inside but the cabinets sag after time. You can’t wipe the walls without the paint coming off if there’s a scuff. Many grills about although in your lease there is restrictions on them. No one is ever in the office to help answer questions and when they do they refer you to call a number a leave a voicemail and there is never a call back. Walls are thin and if you’re in a lower unit clover mites are all over the place and difficult to get rid of.
I’ll start by saying this is a good place to live with a lot of local conveniences and being right next to 17 and 84 has its perks. The property is well maintained and is clean. Now for the bad, some of these may not be a turn off so please read through. Snow and ice removal is not great as I’ve slipped and nearly cracked my head open numerous times because there is not a mat or salt in front of the buildings. The property is smoke free yet it constantly smells like marijuana smoke outside; not that I mind but I wouldn’t want to raise my kids here. Also my shared living room wall neighbor streams Fortnite to 3 viewers and screams at the game all night long and is quite obnoxious, sleeping in the living room is no longer an option, I’ve complained multiple times and nothing has been done. My upstairs neighbor is insistent on moving furniture and having what sounds like tap dancing sessions throughout the day as well, they do not enforce the carpet rule that is in the lease so do not get a downstairs unit unless you truly need the sliding door access. The lease says no grills yet multiple people have grills so go figure about that one. Also the Internet provider here is Spectrum, the node is overcrowded so expect slowdowns and packet loss on weekends and evenings; how they can build a complex post-covid without fiber optics is beyond me; so do not live here if you have serious internet expectations or work from home. Build quality is alright but I’ve had numerous things break with regular use so I doubt this place will last 20 years without serious renovation; expect your cabinet doors to start sagging. Also there will be bugs if you are on the ground floor, lots and lots of clover mites that seem to never go away when the weather is warm.
