Property Ratings at Fenix 424 by Trion Living
There was zero communication from the manager. I toured one unit and was told if I applied I would get a unit that looked exactly the same but on a different floor, I late found out that was not the case. I had to reach out weekly until I finally decided to pull my application.
Property Manager at Fenix 424 by Trion Living, Responded To This Review
Hi, we truly appreciate your honest feedback. It's upsetting to hear that your experience was anything but stellar.
This apartment looks good until you actually start to live there. Constant maintenance issues. The water runs either very hot or very cold. It does not stay the same temp while showering. The elevator is very old and dirty, seems like it is cleaned very rarely. People always block the gated entry and their is always people smoking outside at the entrance of the community(even though they claim to be a smoke free community). On top of that the charge for utilities is very high. The rent is way too high for the issues that tenants have to go through. They offer one parking spot but if you have a second car you must park outside and there is rarely any close parking. I would not recommend living here. The location is nice, being close to the grocery store, restaurants, etc. but you can find somewhere else with less issues and better community for the price.
I came from one hour and 45 min just to have my tour cancelled. So unprofessional and unresponsible. We had scheduled and agreed to a time to just reschedule me for another day. I ask my day off from work and received this news. As well, there office wouldn’t respond.
I’m a newer tenant to the Fenix 424 community, and it has been a wonderful experience so far. I’m definitely loving the positive vibe here in this community. I’ve had a few maintenance requests since I’ve moved in and the property manager, Krystle, has been truly amazing! She is extremely responsive, and super friendly as well. Fantastic property manager (for reals)! PEOPLE: Everyone I’ve encountered in this building has been just beyond great. When I was moving in some of my smaller items, I was definitely struggling trying to get my wagon up the front steps. A friendly gentleman assisted me with lifting my wagon up the steps for me. How nice is that! Turns out to be a neighbor around the corner from my apartment. WALK SCORE: The complex is situated on a relatively busy street, since it leads right into the downtown area. The downtown area is walkable (less than 10 minutes depending on where you’re going). BART is less than a 15 minute walk away. USPS and the UPS store (for all those Amazon return drop-offs) are right down the street. Grocery store (Safeway) is walking distance as well. A very convenient location! PARKING: Parking is assigned, so no one has to fight for parking. Everyone is really respectful with the assigned parking. No issues there. There’s plenty of street parking if you have people visiting\. NOISE: Since the complex is located on a relatively busy street, there is a bit a noise with the cars whizzing by, but it’s not unbearable. Since the Fire Dept. is located almost across the street, sometimes I’ll hear the siren go off, but it’s fine. The windows are double-paned, and keeps the noise out really well. My neighbors are really quiet, so definitely no issues there! TEMPERATURE: Since I’m in a top floor unit, it’s probably gets just a little warmer than the 2nd and 1st floor units. We had a couple toasty days last week (80s), and my apartment never surpassed 75 degrees. Just keep the windows and blinds closed after noon to block out the heat/sun, and I’m good to go until sunset. No AC though, just a heater in the living room and another in the bedroom. SPACE: These units are huge! 800 sq ft. Giant living room with a patio. A little area for a dining room table right next to the kitchen. Hall closet for extra storage. Large walk-in closet in the bedroom. VERDICT: Highly recommended! Great property manager, and a fantastic community! - A. Li
I lived at Creekside Apartments from 1992 through 2003. I was fortunate to live in the back overlooking the San Leandro creek. The first two managers were great. Glen was the best manager ever! He implemented the security gate and security cameras. If you needed anything no matter what time it was day or night, he was there and solved the problem no matter how large or small. After Glen, the assistant manager (Max) took over. He too was a great manager. I think Max passed away but he was there whenever you needed him. The complex has gone through major upgrades since then and the new managers are quite nice. I am trying to move back in but before I get a chance someone has been a bit quicker and has moved in before me. -Richard Acquistapace
