Fenwyck Manor Apartments

I'm glad I found a place that I like. I work at home so this place is quiet and peaceful.

After living in Fenwyck for almost 2 years I am utterly disappointed in how this complex managed their move out procedures. For starter, a move-out walk thru was not offered at any point. According to the staff, carpeting in their units are only changed out every 5 YEARS! GROSS when you have multiple occupants in a 5 year span. Carpet cleaning does not thoroughly treat the padding under carpet. Unlike other apartments complex’s which account for normal wear and tear this complex does not. The stain in the carpet were extremely minimal and could have been treated which they “claim” happened but from the picture I was sent of the supposed “damage” I could tell it was not. And as a result I was charged $1,000 to replace the carpeting. Though the units are nice please beware of how this apartment complex conducts move outs.

They never respond, or they respond to whomever they want. Expensive prices considering the school district. Bahhh!!

My husband and I just moved here, and we LOVE it!!! Our view of the pool is not only peaceful its beautiful at night. We were looking for a senior community but this place was more our speed as for being too young to be old. our kids like the fact its gated and our grandkids love taking walks around the lake and pool area. the leasing ladies are super helpful and always super sweet when ever we have questions. For those looking for a community that makes you feel young, give them a chance you wont be disappointed.

My wife and I are very pleased with life at Fenwyck Manor. Our one-bedroom apartment is cozy and comfortable. It is an all-season residence -cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The staff is friendly and helpful. We are very pleased with the quality and response time of the maintenance staff.

I am new to VA just got stationed here and I did a lot of research before deciding where to live. I really wanted a space that was pet friendly and safe and easy access to the interstate. Fenwyck was suggested to me from a military friend and after meeting the staff and touring the property it was obvious this was going to be home. I have been here since November an this where I tell everyone to move. My husky has 2 dog parks to play in, its gated which nice not anyone can just come over, and its super close to the interstate. My neighbors are all great and friendly. and the staff here is amazing. If I have ever needed to call for maintenance for like the disposal or new light bulb they come out immediately same day service. I highly recommend it.

I have lived here 3 years and absolutely LOVE IT. I could not think of a better place to live. I have lived in the townhouse and the apartments I love them both it just depends on your needs of space. The office staff is amazing and prompt. The grounds are always well kept the pools are amazing and fun in the summer time, its a great way to connect with your neighbors and grill out. The maintenance staff is so friendly, every morning before school they greet my son and wish him well. As a female sometimes certain things still get us -- like killing spiders-- , one day I had one outside my door and ran to the parking lot, one of the maintenance guys saw , me and the deer in head-lights look on my face and laughed, he said- I got you, let's go back, he killed the spider, sprayed the door and walk-way and then told the girls in the office to call pest control as a back up. To live in such a beautiful community and have such amazing staff servicing the community it feels good to say this is home and I love telling everyone this is where I live, it's literally something to be proud of. My lease is up in March, I plan on staying... AGAIN : )

Excluding Lauren the front office is horrible. The manager is unprofessional and extremely rude when talking with anyone who complains. I understand that when you live in an apartment you will hear your neighbors but I shouldn't be able to hear them open the microwave, close the microwave, and then push buttons for the microwave. I shouldn't be able to hear you in your bedroom and bathroom. I should be able to park in front of my apartment instead of two complexes down and walk in darkness because you never know if the lights work correctly. They recently changed managers and the old manager at least was nice but the one now doesn't care how she talks to customers or hasn't realized she is in a customer service position. I have talked to several people since moving and they had the same issues or worse.

We have lived at Fenwyck Manor for over a year an ahalf and we love it ! The staff goes over and beyond to meet the needs of there tenants as well as maintainece ! Fenwyck Manor is a wonderful place to live and exceeds our expectations daily ! The apartments /town homes which we've lived in both but recently down sized are amazing and well worth the price of rent I feel as though they are the most affordable and you get more space for your money! Nicole, Rainey, Din and Lauren are all so friendly and helpful we are so thankful we can call this place home till we build our forever home ?

The apartment is great! The maintenance is quick and attentive to any needs within the apartment, and the office staff is always friendly and helpful. My family enjoys the amenities, and we appreciate the quiet atmosphere. Being so close to shops and places to eat- you can't beat it!

I have nothing bad to say about this community! I moved in a couple months ago and I still can't get over how beautiful it is here. The maintenance is very attentive and quick with completing any issues I have. They even called to make sure everything was fixed properly and working for me. The office staff is sweet and kind through the whole moving process, and continues to be after moving in. That is so hard to come by in apartment living, and I am so appreciative!

We've lived in Fenwyck for almost 3 years now and are very satisfied. The property is beautiful, amenities are great, office staff and maintenance are professional and respond promptly to all requests, and most of the neighbors are very pleasant. My only complaint is the gate acting up every now and then, but otherwise we did not experience any major issues. I wish it was more children friendly with a playground, but that's really the only thing I would change.

I have lived here for over a year now and everything has been absolutely perfect. It is very military away but tucked away in Greenbrier you aren't bombarded with military as you are closer to base. Not only is Chesapeake the best place to look for apartments, Fenwyck is the absolute best place to live! They are very friendly and the amenities are top notch. I couldn't be happier living here and after a long day on the ship, this is the perfect place to call home!

The staff all the way to the President of SPM (Fenwyck Manor) blatantly disregard tenant's requests for maintenance repairs. They have no regard for safety or customer service. The tenants, however, in the community are great, but I feel they too get taken advantage of because they too trust in the staff to take care of things that they report. Proceed with caution.

My husband and I have lived out Fenwyck Manor going on 3 years. We love the amenities and the staff is always friendly. We currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment and it's very spacious. The closets could be more bigger but other then that no complaints. The pools are huge and very family friendly.

I love fenyck manor! All the upgrades & amenities. The office staff is friendly & professional. When moving in I suffered dehydration, my neighbors began to help us move in & gave me Gatorade to help get me better. My wife & I are truly grateful!

Excellent, warm, community feel. The Clubhouse is available 24/365. Gated community. Wonderfully upgraded apartments ( granite,stainless steel etc.). Office staff is great. I didn't give them 5* because the Master bedroom doesn't have a walkin closet nor do they have a linen closet. Thank you Apartments.com!

Gorgeous, updated, modern! We love living here. They have 2 salt water pools, a gym, 2 pet parks!! I feel very safe always and love taking my dog on walks around the trails.

I have now lived at Fenwyck for a year (1858 sq ft townhome) The staff is amazing. They have gone over and above everything I have expected from a property management group! My townhome looks and feels like a home - not an apartment. It is spacious and well designed. I do feel that the builders cut some corners as far as fixtures but that is the ONLY negative thing I can say about Fenwyck. The property, my home, the amenities are all outstanding. It is truly a serene place to live.

I have lived in many different apartments. The staff is excellent regardless of what people have said. The office closes at 5pm and I have seen them stay and working till as late as 10pm. When I had an issue, maintenance was there within the hour to fix it. The staff is extremely friendly and are willing to help with whatever I need. Unlike other apartments that I have rented, this apartment complex throws socials such as ice cream socials, pool parties, and other events to draw the community together to get to know each other. I read the review regarding the person who said that corners were cut during construction, I have not seen this at all, it is a new apartment complex so there will be a few problems that can occur but with the excellent maintenance they are sorted right away. The noise level is better then most apartments I have stayed in, amenities are great I love going to the pool. And in regards to the location, I love being tucked away in the back of a neighborhood. There is no traffic at all which makes it nice an quiet. Plus it is located right behind the Greenbrier area so there is a lot to do. This is one of the best if not the best apartment I have ever stayed in. The first 3 months I felt like I was living in a hotel because of how nice it is. There is a lot to do in the club house including a pool table and little movie theater area, as well as a gym and coffee machine. I love entertaining my friends and they all love it and are looking at moving there themselves.

Not worth what they are charging for rent. When building, contractor cut corners. Nothing but problems with all the units. Please research before moving here. Save your money and move somewhere else.

Unprofessional. Poor Communication by management. Never return calls, never follow up. Not sure if the management here is new and still learning. If so, this can cost the company money. Maybe need more help.

I searched for a while and stumbled across these apartments. I can't believe how beautiful and cozy they are! I just moved in and feel completely at home. The staff is wonderful and attentive and there isn't anything that isn't too far from me! I feel safe in my new environment and know that I'll be here for a while.

I would have rented there if the closets were larger and they and one available when I needed it.

I would have loved to move to this community but was unable to obtain a move in date to fit my time frame. Beautiful facilities and the staff is excellent Lynn.
