I lived here for a year, and this was my first apartment to live in on my own. Anytime I had to deal with the office, for any reason, it was quick and easy. Very professional and friendly staff! Anytime management/maintenance had to do anything, they were great with letting me know they were going to be in my apartment days in advance; for example, pest control and they also replaced the windows during my time here. Also, the price can't be beat for such a safe neighborhood! The ONLY con about this place, is it takes FOREVER to get to the highway. I personally refuse to take toll roads, and it took me about 15 to 20 minutes just to get to IH 35. BUT, there are many cool areas nearby to go for entertainment purposes. I hope this helps in anyone's apartment search. I definitely recommend this place.
The management is continuously changing and its much like playing a game of telephone. The new management is awful, they have 0 consideration or concern for those living at their complex. This new management fails to send out notifications that can impact payment process and still hold you accountable for late fees. It feels like they’re setting you up for failure. They allow late fees to accumulate without any notification that you had additional charges! I was not notified that I was short until a month later when late fees had been applied and I was being threatened with eviction! My A/c broke and they had me waiting an entire day, stating they would send someone in to check on it. I called the office the next day and no one was even aware! Aside from management being a total mess, there is a huge bug problem! I have constantly been bit by spiders, I have started to vacuum almost every day. Don’t swim in their pool, my friend and I walked out with a rash. Also you may want to invest in a plunger you’ll constantly need it, and your bath tub will constantly be clogged so you may want something for that as well. I have overall had a terrible experience and cannot wait until my lease is up!
Due to the very recent change of property managers i would not recommend anyone to live here. I am a current resident and can't wait for my lease to be up. The new management is so inconsiderate and unhelpful. 9/18 my AC unit stopped working late at night so i put in a service request and flagged it as an emergency. The next day around 3PM my house sitter advised me that no one had gone by to fix it yet and the apartment was up to 85 degrees now, i checked the online service request and there was no change or updates to the status so i decided to call the front office to verify what was going on. When i called they had no idea what i was talking about or that i even put a request in. I advised them my house sitter would only be there until 5PM to let the maintenance man in they assured me they would send someone shortly. At around 4:30PM my house sitter advised me that they still haven't stopped by to fix it. The apartment was now at 88 degrees. which is ridiculous. So i called again and no one answered, how insanely unprofessional. After another failed attempt of calling i decided to email them, which to this day 9/20 i am yet to receive a response. My house sitter had to walk himself all the way to the office just to speak to someone about this on going issue. When he arrived once again no one seemed to know what he was talking about or care for that matter, they had him wait for 15 minutes in the office before they ASSURED him someone would stop by the end of the day (9/19). 6 PM came around and the office was now closed, and of course no one ever stopped by to fix the AC. The apartment was now at 89 degrees, due to the unbearable heat and lack of help i decided to take matters into my own hands and had a 3rd party come out to fix the issue, which took no more than 5 minutes to resolve. It is now 9/20 12 PM and although the issue is taken care of no thanks to them, i have yet to hear back from a maintenance man or the property managers. No calls to advise of updates or delays which is the least they could've done, not even a response to my email. All that being said that just comes to show how unprofessional and careless they are to serious issues residents may be having. If you're looking in to living here don't.
I love living here it has a family feel. Taelor in the office was the reason I moved in she was so friendly and helpful. Taelor is always helpful and makes sure if I need something it is taken care of. Taelor makes the complex feel like home. I have no plans of leaving as long as she is here,

I just leased and moved in last month. I dealt with Taylor in the office through the whole process. She was great as I went around to other places none were as friendly as this one. A lot of new places in the area but I liked that it felt homie and not cold when I looked at the model apartment. My apartment on move in day was perfect. I really wanted to get the upgrade Taylor told me about but I decided to go with the regular one. It's great I love my black appliances and the wood looking floor. I haven't had any issues so far and I'm glad I picked this place as my new home.
I've been living at Fieldcrest Apartments for two years. In fact, I followed the management once I learned they transferred here. They were extremely helpful during my move, allowing me to view my apartment before signing the lease. For any issues I found once I moved in, they were fixed within two days. The maintenance workers are friendly, quick and do a great job. As for safety, I've felt safe living here as a single mom. The neighbors haven't bothered me or concerned me at any time. Everyone is friendly and quiet. Living on the first floor you can expect to hear the people above you. It comes with the territory when living in apartment complexes. The pool was a weekend must for us....surrounded by trees with plenty of sun. It gets busy on weekend afternoons, so get there early for some quiet swim time. The train that passes through behind the complex seems loud at first, but you'd be surprised how quickly you get used to it. We don't notice it anymore. The complex itself is nestled in a quiet location backing onto nice neighborhoods and close to Castle Hills. This is where we get our walking done. It's very convenient to all surrounding cities. I can get to Plano, Frisco, Addison, The Colony, Lewisville and Coppell within 15 minutes. The DFW Airport and Grapevine are approx. 20 minutes away. Down the road you have a Super Target, Super Wal-mart and brand new Kroger. There are plenty of restaurant choices. Within the apartment itself, I have loads of closet space, a huge living room, open kitchen with a nook, brand new carpet, wood floors, new black appliances, fireplace, nice size storage space, and large patio. My electric bill (Co-Serv) runs between $50 - $150 which is great, especially during the summer and winter. The water is allocated and averages $30 per month for two people. Although Fieldcrest Apartments are an older community, you'll be pleasantly surprised if you give them a chance. They have gone above and beyond in keeping me happy. Sincerely, A Happy Resident
