Tucked in the northwest corner of Cook County, suburbs such as Hoffman Estates, Palatine, South Barrington and Schaumburg vary widely in personality and composition. Schaumburg, the largest in population, is home to Ikea and Woodfield Mall, the largest mall in the Chicago area. Palatine, developed on a wooded marshland, comes in at a close second in size. Hoffman Estates, while smaller, is the most densely populated of the four suburbs and is home to AT&T's Midwest headquarters and Sears Holding Corporation. South Barrington, tiny in comparison, and arguably the most affluent in the area, is home to the famous mega church, Willow Creek Community Church.
Heavy traffic can double or triple commute times, so area locals know to check the highway reports before leaving home. Normal drive time into the city from this area is about 30 minutes via the Interstate 90 tollway. An easy 20 minute drive will take residents to O'Hare International Airport.

Avoid this place at all cost. I lived here for almost a year. You can get better place for the price you pay. Supposedly management is doing background check for all residents on the lease. Yet, there was a shooting in July outside of the building that was investigated by the police. Shoots was fired in the air. It is a miracle that nobody was hurt. My dog gets sick all the time because they can’t do anything about lazy residents who dump their scrap food through their balcony. Forget spending your summer at the patio. You wont be able to go outside unless you want to sit with 5 skunks and 10 squirrels breathing in the smell of rotting food. Gym is very small and dirty. On top of that, they were out of disinfecting wipes for a few days in the middle of the pandemic. Management left Clorox disinfecting wipes but forgot to refill hand sanitizer. Some of the gym equipment has seen better days. In addition, you will be charged extra for the heat and water and CAMS. You will pay for someone else heat and water because bills are divided by the size of your apartment. I did not see any improvements being done to the buildings since the whole time I was here. Windows in my apartment has broken seal and it is really cold inside the bedrooms during the winter. Laundry room is always dirty and expensive to wash. I rather take my clothes and drive to the public laundromat than wash here. Please note, washer in the unit won’t dry your clothes all the way. Complaining about other residents dumping scraps of food won’t do anything. They don’t care. I know for a fact that a lot of tenants before me moved out after a year because they had the same problem as me. Management seams to not care because they will re-rent your apartment to someone else who has no idea what he/she is signing for. I can easily say that this is the worst place I have ever lived at. Lease at your own risk!!!!!

Location location location! This place has it all! I can literally walk to the bar or take a 5 min drive to the mall! I love it here! Staff is SUPER DUPER friendly I have enjoyed working with Kimberlee and Lauren in the office for the past year. Maintenance was out shoveling snow for hours to keep us with dogs happy! Although, that is one thing I could complain about is the amount of dog doo doo around here. I still give 5 stars!

My husband and I moved in here two weeks after we got married in early November of 2016 and we’ve been here ever since. The grounds are lovely and always taken care of. I feel incredibly safe walking my dog at night and I’m a smaller, petite, woman so feeling safe is very important to me. The people at the office are WONDERFUL and helpful whenever we’ve needed it. The neighbors have been lovely and largely respectful. The apartments are very well taken care of and most are updated very nicely. There are no noise problems, AT ALL! We have a third floor corner unit on a dead end street and it’s ALWAYS been so peaceful and quiet. We’ve never had any pest problems at all and I couldn’t be more thrilled with that aspect. I do wish we had a roof over the balcony and also an electrical outlet outside, but other than that, the outdoor space is huge and great. The location can’t be beat! We’re so centrally located, to every restaurant and store you can think of along with Woodfield mall, but I don’t feel like I live in such an urbanized area. This place is definitely pet friendly! My favorite thing about this place so far is that we were able to adopt our dog when the complex partnered with an adoption agency and even went so far as to waive the dog fees if we (or anyone in the complex) adopted from this no-kill rescue organization. I’ve NEVER seen this anywhere else before or since! I know of at least 6 other dogs that have been adopted into forever homes here because of this fantastic policy. It’s INCREDIBLE and we found our perfect new addition to our family because of their generosity on this issue. We looked at maybe moving last year, but we decided to stay because we love it here. If there’s any kinds of cons to this place, they’re few; I wish they had a dog park for the many animals living here. I also wish that the storage units that are assigned to each apartment were MUCH bigger. The parking situations haven’t been great. They do need MUCH more visitor parking and MUCH more clarity on where visitors can park. The only other thing I wish were different would be the fact that all the buildings are open smoking units. My husband and I feel we found a safe, peaceful, quiet, relaxing and almost perfect little hidden corner in the Chicagoland suburbs. I would truly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to live that has nice apartments, a friendly office staff, a good price for the area and can give you a true feeling of home in a crazy world.
I give five stars for maintenance, excellent customer service friendly and reliable such as Jose and Harris. Excellent customer service, nice and polite leasing agent Kimberlee.

We moved here a month ago and already absolutely love it! The leasing agents are so friendly and helpful, even after we've signed the lease which I know isn't the case for many other places. It's very quiet (I never hear through the walls), all neighbors I've met are nice, and as a young woman- I feel safe here! I highly recommend this place!

I moved from the east coast and looked at a ton of apartments in the area. Love this place. The no pressure sales, this place sold itself. Once I moved in they still follow up. I have been here for exactly 30 days today. The grounds and buildings are well taken care of. The pool is awesome, not sure why it's not always packed and I'm not complaining I g about that. The leasing office holds packages when I'm gone, they are all so nice in he office and very accommodating. Most of the people I have met have been really friendly. I am in a pet friendly building and I do not here dogs barking in my apartment. I also love the fact I am far away from the city but close enough to get there with ease. This place really is a hidden gem.

Haven't had any major complaints so far. Only thing I don't like is the noise from the highway but you get used to it. The management is friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to questions/concerns. All appliances work well and the building is kept clean and the community is well-kept and always being updated. Located close to the mall, grocery stores, and anything else you could need. Love it here after almost a year of living here so far!

I've been living here for almost 2 years now and have referred this complex to prospects that are looking for apartments. The location is great... right by the highway and close to restaurants, Woodfield Mall and other stores. The staff in the office are great and know you by name. They try to resolve any issues you may have and always leave with a great impression. Whenever I needed something fixed in my apartment, a maintenance guy would always arrive within the hour or so and fix the problem right away. I feel bad for some of those people who have given bad reviews, but I guess the experience is different for everybody. Hopefully I get to renew my lease this summer for the 3rd time. It's a great complex and a great location!
A great place for those searching for suburban living outside of Chicago. Minutes away from the expressway & tollway; no where from Woodfield Mall, Streets of Woodfield, IKEA, and a plethora of hotels, restaurants, and stores galore. Where can you find an upgraded unit with in-unit washer & dryer, separate vanity, underground parking, fitness center, swimming pool, business center and a balcony that can fit all the patio furniture that you own? The staff onsite is professional, accommodating, caring, and they treat you like family. Welcome home at Fieldpointe of Schaumburg.
I loved how much light came into my apartment. I also had a washer dryer in my apartment. People were good, office staff friendly and the maintenance guy came in even on Sundays.
this rental complex is driven to attract the young at heart but they also make sure that ours eldery are taken care of as well. all the buildings are 3 story and have wide wooden stair that are carpeted to allow easy access to your this.
There is a lot to love about this place. The staff is incredible! They are available for anything you need. The grounds are well maintained. The area is very safe. I am on the first floor and never worry about leaving with my windows open when the weather is nice. There is designated guest parking. The pool area is nice and card access controlled. The gym is not huge but it has enough equipment for a quick workout and is well maintained. I order from Amazon all the time. Packages that arrive when you are not home are taken to the office where they are secure until you pick them up. The office is open 7 days a week. The people that live here are very friendly. Garage parking is available for a fee. I would definitely recommend this complex to anyone looking to live in the area.
The apartment itself is not bad, but the new management is pricing them like they are luxury, and when your lease is up in a year, they will jack up your rent exponentially. They respond in a timely matter to your work orders, and the pool is nice. Fitness room needs some work but they are slowly replacing stuff.
I first off want to say that the office staff were very friendly at this apartment complex. They seemed very eager to answer all questions that I might of had. The apartment is large for a one bedroom in my mind. I have a dining room area. It has a nice hanging light in the dining area as well for when I decide to put a table there. The kitchen is rather small though. If a person likes to get fancy and messy in the kitchen, as well as be able to move around comfortably doing it this might not be the best apartment choice. However, the microwave provided is really nice. The living room is spacious giving you enough. The closet space is great and gives you plenty of room to store stuff. There are also plenty of outlets to plug in all of your stuff as long as you have a surge protector handy for any additional plug-ins you might have. They give you a pretty small bathroom to work with. I mean this thing is tiny. However the sink is outside of the part of it that a shower and toilet. The sink however is out where there is carpet. I prefer to keep my damp feet on a tiled floor until they are dried. It is hard to do with such a cramped bathroom space. The unit came with a washer/dryer combo unit that seems to do the job. However it has a steep learning curve on figuring the thing out. I have a patio that is to set up a table and some chairs on outside. The parking here is great. Plenty of parking available. Visitors however have to park in the designated blue-lined spots or on the sides of the street. You are aloud to park in any of the parking lots that are available as well. You can have either a dog or a cat based on the rent you pay and the building you live in. There is also underground parking in a parking garage if you agree to add the charge to your rent. The complex is in a great area as you can see the IKEA a massive furniture store, from it. It has great access to the highway. However it lacks a grocery store you can just walk to down the street. Schools are hard to find unless you are going to college, then there is Harper College right down the street. I am assuming if you are going to send your kids to school you will have to send them on the bus. There is an excellent transportation system in Schaumburg. Just go a bus stop that is close by and you can access the bus to take you to where you need to go. There are a lot of restaurants and shopping areas in Schaumburg. It also has Metra Service (Train).
I absolutely love living at Fieldpointe Apartments and trust me, I have moved often. First, the location is great. Tucked away in a little corner of Schaumburg yet close enough to all the goods Schaumburg has to offer. I can use the apartments gym or I am within 5 minutes from both Xsport and Lifetime fitness. 5 minutes from Woodfield mall, streets of woodfield, and to s of bars and restaurants. I have underground garage parking, a walk in closet, and a washer and dryer in my unit. Trust me when I say finding those three things in one apartment is not easy to do. The price is the most affordable for Schaumburg living and for what you get. The pool is great and there aren't many kids. Most people that live here are between their mid 20's and early 40's. Office staff is always friendly and available and maintenance gets things done ASAP. I have had no problems living here. My only very small complaint would be that the gym is not open 24 hours a day.
