Springs Ranch is a beautiful neighborhood located about 10 miles east of Downtown Colorado Springs. The neighborhood is also four miles north of Peterson Air Force Base so it’s a great choice for military employees and families who want to live near base. Springs Ranch features a variety of moderately priced to upscale apartments, single-family houses, and townhomes for rent. Similar to many areas in Colorado Springs, Springs Ranch has incredible views of the Rocky Mountains and several lush parks. Along plenty of parks, residents enjoy having access to an abundance of shopping, dining, and entertainment options in the western portion of the neighborhood along North Powers Boulevard. First and Main Town Center is a sprawling mall with popular brands, diverse restaurants, big-box stores, and more. The commercial center also hosts special events during the summer including concerts and car shows. If you’re looking for convenience and access to plenty of amenities, Springs Ranch is ideal.

Property Ratings at First and Main Apartments
This complex used to be a nice place to live, "used to be" being the relevant part. Management only cares about the bottom line and making their pockets fatter with annual bonuses, so no upgrades to landscaping or getting the potholes fixed. Loud neighbors with barking dogs go on deaf ears. Dog poop is EVERYWHERE, and do not try and talk about any concerns to the office staff as they will tell you that there are other options for living and you should go live someplace else! There are all kinds of new apartments being built in this area at a much lower cost. I left this place and have not been happier with that decision. I hope you learn from my mistake and find another place to live.

Pros: good area, smart floorplan Cons: unhelpful inconsiderate management, poor communication, loud clicking sound in apartment that maintenance hasn't resolved over months, apartments suffer from inattention to detail (hot/cold sticker on faucet is backwards, countertops are misaligned), thin ceilings (can hear every footstep of upstairs neighbors), plumbing is very loud It's impressive that this apartment complex can simultaneously be the most expensive and worst place that I've ever lived

I have been living here for almost 3yrs now and still no complaints. The Property Manager has been the best from the day I met her along with who is now the Asst. Manager (originally was my leasing agent). The grounds are kept clean DAILY, in which the maintenance staff has always been helpful and does a great job. Enjoyed living here which has mainly been because of the office staff and how respectful and understanding they are. Theres barking dogs and loud cars EVERYWHERE in the city - its best if people dont like dogs to go where they are prohibited, and as far as the "loud car" issue, racing has been a problem across the city for YEARS now - its clearly been on the news about police trying to crack down on it. Great place to stay, and Great Staff!

Find another place. Barking dogs, racing and noisy cars, dirty hallways and unapproachable office manager. As a long time resident this community has lost its sparkle and is just not worth the expense. It’s in a nice part of town and close to lots of restaurants, but poorly managed and in need of maintenance. Oh and if you do happen to share these concerns it falls on deaf ears by the manager. The other staff in the office are very kind and friendly.

The apartments themselves are nice and the location is great but I am giving one star because of the customer service from the office staff. One of the staff members in particular literally could not care less about your experience as a resident. Every time we spoke to her she would attempt to complete our sentences for us and rush us off the phone. When I brought up legitimate complaints to her about her customer service she said "that's fine have a nice day" and hung up. MONTHS after we moved out they began hounding us about lingering community fees and water charges that THEY forgot to charge us and then threatened to send us to collections while we asked them to send us a bill (which they did not do, rather they sent an ambiguous ledger) so we could pay it and have a record that we paid (since we no longer had a tenet portal). Their response was to inconvenience us further for their mistake by asking to to send a money order. There are a lot of nice apartment complexes near the First and Main shopping center. I suggest you check out one of those.

We have been at First and Main for 2 years now. There has been 0 issues. From the time we applied, the office staff has been extremely helpful. We are always provided with top notch customer service and open communication.The office staff and maintained team are all so down to earth. We love it here and plan to renew our lease again in the fall. Thank you First & Main for going above and beyond!

The complex itself is great. There are a lot of amenities, the apartments are spacious, the grounds are fairly well kept, etc. The staff however is so rude, unprofessional, and degrading that they make you feel uncomfortable for coming in to ask a question. If the staff continues the way it is, I would not recommend moving here. The complex is great, but if you ever have a problem it has almost always been a fiasco when we try to get it fixed.
This complex was sold about 6 to 7 months ago the staff that has taken over is very rude the manager who runs the place should never have been hired as a manager they treat there tenets like garbage and they steal from them DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT RENT FROM THEM THEY ARE CALLED APARTMENTS AT FIRST AND MAIN IN COLORADO SPRINGS it is very over priced for a place that treats there tenets like they are garbage if you ask them for an explanation of a bill they are charging you they will not explain it correctly and then the manager will throw you out of the office scream profanitys at you and tell you to call there corporate office who by the way does not ever return your calls so for your sake steer clear of this place
The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. The neighbors are quite and also rather friendly. Upgraded kitchen is a definite plus. The media room can be rented out. I love it here. It's also very family and pet friendly.
Living at this apartment feels like a community all by itself. The amenities are wonderful. From having our own theater to attending community events, this place feels like home. I also feel like this place promotes living a healthy life style.

Staff is very pompous, rude, even when wrong they will not admit fault. Not a good establishment if you are looking for customer service skills and respect. They don't deserve your money.

This complex has a great deal of difficulty with bookkeeping. Further, when given proof of their mistake, management chooses to blame the client. If you choose to move in, keep impeccable records. Be overly prepared for a less than positive experience.
From the very start, we were treated with care and respect. Every question, for the next couple of months until our decision to rent an apartment, was not taken lightly, but handled with skill and knowledge. We look forward to settling down in our new "home" and enjoy the awesome location to nearby shopping within walking distance and quick access to main roadways. Thanks amazing team!
