Fairly secluded amid the countryside near the Texas border, the small city of Durant is a cultural and economic hub for the surrounding area. The campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University sits on the north side of town, and the institution plays a major role in defining the local culture: you’ll love cheering on the Savage Storm in everything from football to rodeo competitions, and heading to the campus for special events like the annual Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival.
Durant is also famous for its magnolias, and the annual Magnolia Festival serves as the unofficial kickoff of the summer season. Lake Texoma sits just west of town, serving as a popular destination on summer afternoons. Dallas and Oklahoma City are both within day-trip distance, allowing you to visit two of the region’s most exciting metropolitan areas anytime.

Property Ratings at First Street Apartments
We have been with out central air for over three weeks and no stove. Its been hot and hard on my four month old baby. They wont return your phone calls for updates to let you know what's going on. I am not the only one there is a great number of people with problems here and they simply wont fix them!!!!! And there are no screens on the widows to be able to open them.
I have lived here for over a year. I always pay rent on time and have never had a complaint filed on me... I am a good tenant. The property manager is very nice, but the ownership company is a joke. They are not responsive, rude and if you have a problem, good luck getting it fixed! My ceiling collapsed on a Wednesday night, dumping water, Sheetrock and insulation all over the place. I called the emergNcy number and got no return call. I reported it to property manager Thursday morning. Friday afternoon a cleaning crew came and cleaned up the Sheetrock and insulation. They covered the hole with plastic film. The wind blew insulation through the plastic into the unit. With my asthma, I could not stay in the apartment (trust me... neither could you). I informed the manager of this daily and was told I had to wait. I had to stay with friends for a week. My dad finally called the owners (he said they were very rude) and told them they should not charge me for the days that I couldn't stay in the unit. They said it was against policy (customer service at its finest right there!). This is just one example (there are others). These people do not care about the tenants... "pay your rent and shut up!!! Who cares if the conditions are livable". I would advise anyone to stay away from this property. Ps. I have never given a negative review... they are that bad.
very nice quiet place to live manager is very caring and helpful with what ever she can residents here a friendly and nice really like it here
