Property Ratings at First Ward Place
Poor management at this community. The staff is always different. They lied about my refund amount for months and I have not received it or any correspondence from corporate and I moved out in March. My apartment was vandalized and squatted in while I was away as well as others due to break ins from the attic spaces being connected to the other units, but I was somehow held responsible for damages. Very unprofessional.
I'm new to Charlotte. I was applying to many places. I'm not sure why this place is listed as available on many platforms. When in fact there is a 1-2 year waitlist???? I was quite puzzled. Seems like very poor management for sure. Just update the platforms to save others trouble. Taking $25 for something you can't give is well... But ok I truly feel sorry for this business, and management.
After living in this complex for almost two years, I can absolutely say that this is by far the dirtiest and under-managed complex I have ever lived in. The amount of trash and litter found around the apartments is disgusting. My A/C has never worked properly, even after countless times of reaching out to management and having someone come and "fix it" over and over again. The dumpsters get so overfilled and the residents just throw their trash around the sides of the dumpster causing an infestation of bugs that get in the apartments, including mine, which is so embarrassing. For several weeks straight, the dumpsters were never emptied and theres was trash everywhere and after calling the residential office, they told me there was nothing that could be done about it. The rent is definitely affordable and the location is amazing but it just doesn't make up for how bad the quality of living is in the apartments. You definitely get what you pay for in Charlotte.
Location is great, some programs that help families is great, space is awesome
I like the way being respected and treated by the office admins, but the services are not on prompt.
Nice clean area, professional office staff, and seems to be what I am looking for. I that they should at least have a waiting list for people to apply. I don't think you should have to wait for a vacancy before you can apply for the property.
Have not lived in this community long and its winter so people generally go home instead of hanging out or possibly causing issues for neighbors.
You, owners of this complex, do not care about the appearance of the property. If your not gonna have grass, lay down an inexpensive alternative. The glum, brown ground doesn't add any cheer to the place.
The only luxury I get from living here at First Ward is the location. There is something always going wrong in my apartment for me not to be home often. Pipes bursting, Water Main flooding people homes, water bubbles in the ceiling from the water damaged, dishwasher burnt out, ceiling separated from the wall etc. etc. all maintenance do is take things from other apartments and switch them out ...even light bulbs. Then one person in the office without calling any names had the nerve to say "we never had any problems with this apartment until you moved in" as if I just moved here just to do damage or as if I'm a messy person. I feel the only person that do what they are suppose to do and goes over and beyond for all the resident's here at First Ward Place is Jamaal. He is quick to his feet, has the knowledge of any question that is asked and if he don't he finds out and responds within 48 hours, he is always first to respond, most importantly he takes his time he listens and communicate effectively in a timely manner.
Jamaal, is very professional. I love the fact that he is very concern about the tenants, goes over and beyond to meet the tenant needs expeditiously. First Ward is in a nice area, very nice place to live. Jamaal is a good look for 1st Ward.
Jamaal & jasenia are awesome they answer all my questions they go above and beyond and they do everything in a timely matter they are very welcoming they communicate very well & are good team players. They make me feel at home.
I have already recommended this a pop just this community to other people based on my experience I have also on recommended for people who would like to live downtown on the rent is not too expensive for downtown apartment and a space in the apartment is amazing so yes I would recommend someone
I have been at this apartment complex for the last year and a 1/2. Apartment is very spacious and clean upon moving in. You may have some minor issues with the response of maintenance, but the staff makes sure to fix the delays. One staff member by the name of Jamaal is very helpful and a great worker. Whenever you need assistance, if tries his very best to assist you. Overall, I love living here and the environment!
First ward manager need to do better with communicating in a timely manner. I am not a resident who complains at all, very patient, and I try to find understanding in every situation. I have also addressed the things needed to be fixed or replaced in my apartment, and only two out of multiple requests were fixed. Overall the staff in the office are great, and will assist and help as much as possible. Gutter's need to be cleaned.
The apt is3 bedroom very spacious and has a outside storage room. Maintenance is very prompt, leasing agents are very nice, friendly and helpful. Convenience walking distance to activities in the metro city. A great place to live, work and shop.
The building I live in is quiet and has residents that have been living there for years. Even the new families that move in fit right in with the family oriented tenants that live there.
The apartments are nice. I love the windows if they could help mold out the place it would be a dream!
