Apartments for Rent in Five Points, Raleigh, NC

Around 1900, it was determined that Raleigh needed some suburbs -- the streetcar was available by then, and residents could move a little farther from the city center. Several neighborhoods were created between 1910 and 1950: Hayes Barton, Georgetown, Roanoke Park, Vanguard Park, and Bloomsbury. These five neighborhoods were clustered around the five-point intersection of Glenwood Avenue, Whitaker Mill Road, and Fairview Road. Today, those five neighborhoods are known as the Five Points Historic Neighborhoods.

There are four historic districts within Five Points: the Vanguard Park District, the Bloomsbury District, the Roanoke Park District, and the Hayes Barton District.
