Garner/Fuquay Varina is a suburban area just south of the state’s capital city. Several major roads intersect in town making it great for commuters, and large shopping centers, peaceful neighborhoods, and sprawling golf courses make the area great for families as well. Staff turnover is crazy high, and the apartments themselves have a lot of structural and cosmetic issues, including uninsulated windows and bad wiring. I was treated very poorly on moving out, despite being a resident in good standing for 5 years. Don't waste your time with them.

The office staff is extremely helpful the property manager handles business you can tell she cares about the community. The complex is a little older, but you can’t beat the price or the location I would recommend it.

I've lived at a number of different apartment complexes in Raleigh over the years and this is the first place I've lived where I feel like it's actually a Home! My neighbors are friendly and respectful and the office staff is amazing. The maintenance guys here seem really fast and they always come and ACTUALLY FIX YOUR STUFF, which was so amazingly refreshing from the past experiences I've had! Loving it here! Thank you!

Nice three story apartments with stainless steel appliances and balcony. My apartment has a fireplace and a storage closet on the balcony. Sometimes I work from home and being able to use the business center to get out the apartment is such a convenience.

New move in but I can say grounds looks very nice. My experience with the on site staff was fantastic. No problems in my unit and my neighbors seem very friendly.

Closely located to tons of restaurants and local shops. Downtown Raleigh is only 15 minutes away. The gym is 24 hour access and the ac in there is strong. The basketball court is fenced and the leasing office has coffee. Friendly staff!

The leasing office is very responsive and will return calls on the same day. whenever I have time to visit during their hours they have free coffee and snacks. The maintenance staff is also helpful. I see them cleaning the property and blowing leaves every morning. Having valet trash pick up is very convenient and the dumpsters are emptied regularly.

Flats is a nice place to live in Garner. The community is quiet, and the amenities are nice. Maintenance has always taken care of any issues that come up within 1-2 days. I have been here for a year and love it. Would recommend this complex to anyone looking in the Garner area.

I moved in a few months ago. I love the staff, they listen to you and fix any problems you have. Plus there is a Pool that is well kept up daily. Pet friendly too. The have fun resident events monthly like BBQ with Prizes, lemonade day, Bingo out door movie on the lawn by the office with popcorn. I don't know of any other apartment complex that does this. Come check them out.

I’m a new tenant here and just a couple things that I have notice so far. The office manager is over work and does not communicate effectively maybe she need an assistant immediately , however she has been nice to me so far. She does live out here and have special parking when everyone one else has to struggle to find parking - which is not fair because if she knew the parking struggles she might work harder to do something about it, the rent is not what is stated on the website or what is told to you- it’s an additional $100 added to your rent for the fires amenity package- so that information needs to be updated that is called false advertising. Maintance guy “Craig” works very hard but needs another staff member to answer calls and fix all problems effectively and efficiently. I dont understand why the workout room is business hours only-because a working person has the same hours- they give you a key card but what good is the key card if you can’t use it when you want such as the weekend, etc.- since you are paying for the service in your amenity package you should be able to use it at you leisure since you pay for it monthly.The pictures on the website and the mock apartment that is shown to you is not what your apartment will look like ... you apartment will not look new like the model... it’s more run down- again false advertising. Some apartments have outside storage and fire places-when other apartments don’t - which doesn’t make since and the rent is the same either way. There is a lot of room for improvement... I hope that with the amount of rent I’m paying they will be able to afford to do more updates and afford additional staff help. Be aware of the big black birds “Vultures” that poop on your vehicle and be all in the street and on top of the trash cans - there is a nursing home or hospice next to the apartments that the office doesn’t tell you about. Food lion, police station, drivers license office is close by and that’s a major plus. I do like the online maintenance order request to use because you do get a message when the request has been completed. I hope things get better but I will do another review in the future.

I would not recommend. If you call installing granite, and new appliances renovated, you don't know what you're talking about. Very bad moldy/musty smell in the apartments. Walls were not repaired, just painted over, the floors are sagging, water damage on a bathroom cabinet was also painted over, there is a gap between the tub and the floor, holes were filled with "Stuff" under the kitchen sink and there are wires hanging out, there is paint splatter on the floors, stove and countertops, which are pulling away from the walls and the grout is falling out. It's like putting lipstick on a pig and calling it pretty! The only thing that truly got renovated was the clubhouse, and it is still not done. I have pics I wish I could post. STAY AWAY
I would have gave no stars but 1 was the only option. Alyssa is so rude and extremely unprofessional. They tried to charge me double rent after I already paid them. It was so bad I had to get an attorney involved for them to realize their error. The apartments are infested with mice, roaches, and bed bugs still. They don’t fix anything. As soon as my lease is up I will be leaving. This place is a joke. Stay far away!!!!!!
So I had only seen the first review on here and that made me nervous but after going by and meeting Alyssa and seeing the apartments I was decided. The kitchens are so pretty and that is definitely my favorite part. The first apartment I was suppose to move in to was missing a cable wire so instead of interrupting me and having a maintenance guy come in to my home, they let me choose from two other units to move to. Lived here two weeks and I am very happy. It's quiet and really close to my daughter's school, perfect for what I need. It looks like they are doing a new clubhouse right now by all the construction on that so I hope it is pretty! Just so ppl know the first review was written before the place had been renovated...I think they just had some stuff to work on at first.
What this other 1-star review said s TRUTH -- moldly smell (potentially dangerous), faulty plumbing, faulty electrical. I was very surprised to be curious about other people's experience and see a review I could've written myself. Couldn't have said it better.
These "new owners" were supposed to fix and renovate the very* old and faulty electrical wiring and plumbing in these apartment units. Prospective renters need to know they did NOT. These units also had a mold problem in the central a/c and vent systems of these units - NOT addressed either. All that was done was new appliances, paint and carpet slapped in.. If you rent here and sign a lease, you will notice within a WEEK about the a/c musty smell, the plumbing and wiring. Do not rent here.
