Property Ratings at The Stratford
Stratford review This place is beautiful on the outside, but that’s about it. The first week we moved in I had poop on my welcome mat... and the staff did nothing about this. This was a common occurrence in my building, urine stench everywhere because they allow the tenants to feed stray cats. You can hear everything that happens in the hallway in my apartment and when they did clean the breezeways debris always entered my unit. But once again none of my complaints were taken seriously, yet they want to keep my deposit of $500 and charge us and extra $250 to “clean” carpets we had professionally cleaned before we moved out. Not to mention the lady who showed me the unit mentioned they “replace” carpets in between tenants... so why do you need $250 to clean carpets you’re going to replace anyway? Rent is extremely expensive for the outdated apartment we received in fact they fooled me by showing me an updated unit when I was inquiring on prices. Spend your well earned money elsewhere.
Manager doesn't listen, interrupts and starts talking full-mouthed. I needed a solution, instead all I got was a disgusted look. Determined to leave. Bad experience!
I'm Ok with the flaws of this property, and there are plenty. But I cannot live here with this manager. She is primitive, impolite, rude and incompetent. Moving out.
Living here since 2015. Never seen the office so dirty and disorganized. Dreadful service. Manager is not doing her job. Everyone can tell she is faking it. Kindness and good service can't be faked. Residents have started to comment among ourselves about how unprofessional she is.
There is no other 20-25 year old property in Kendall that looks as good as Stratford. Kudos to the maintenance team. The one thing that doesn't fit in this dynamic: the manager. She has a harsh tone, vulgar, she sweats heavily and breath strongly on you. Her laugh will give you the chills! She represents without a doubt a disgusting experience.
Been living here for some years now. It was better before. Back then, management had a better grip on the property. Nowadays the manager appears to be over her head with the job. Premises never looked worse and dirtier. She is unkind and rude, but the worst is that she doesn't know better.
Stratford is a property in a good condition, in spite of its 25-30 years since construction. The location is ideal due to its proximity to 88th St and the Turnpike. Office personnel is courteous and kind. Maintenance guys are always on watch and on top of things: fast and reliable. On thing though is less than acceptable: the manager. She is rude, impolite and shockingly low-class. Not the right person for the job. I'm most probably leaving soon! (I won't pay top money to be treated with lack of respect and in an arrogant manner by the manager).
The staff at the Stratford is very attentive and understand very well the customers' needs. But they are poorly managed. The manager is very rude, very unprofessional and doesn't even listen to customers properly. She conducts herself in a very inappropriate manner, her demeanor towards customers (and staff in front of customers) is totally reprehensible (she doesn't talk, she shouts while looking at you with the BIG ME - little you face). It's shocking just to see that a person with such a rude behavior with customers could be the manager of such a beautiful property and such nice staff. She doesn't even dress executive like (dirty pants, old sweaters, no make up, pony tail, dirty shoes). First time since living here that we have a manager with such poor abilities. Former managers have been very professional and with the right attitude towards customer service, very attentive and kind. Such a shame...Maintenance staff is great, quick and professional. Same with the office staff: Marilyn and Louisiana, both kind and attentive. I hope corporate executives do something about the management of this property, or many of us will leave.
The apartment has a nice interior and exterior. Maintenance handles anything within a couple days for minor repairs and are there within an hour for emergency repairs (flooding, ac, or fire). Pest control comes through every month which is nice.
We are a military family and we got stationed in Miami. We were trying to find a place from overseas. Not being from Florida we were scared and wanted to get the right place for our family. I emailed back and forth with the leasing staff and they were Great!! When we got here everything was taken care of and we moved in right away. We have not had any issues or problems and we are very happy here. The schools that our kids go to are A and A schools. That was very important to us. We have been here almost 3 yrs now and only plan on moving when we get re stationed. Thanks Stratford
We lived in the Stratford for two years from 2010-2012. We only had one noisy neighbor and although it took time to go through "the process", they finally moved out. Other than that we truly enjoyed our stay. It was a nice, quiet, and safe community filled with families and retired elderly. When it came time to move from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom due to the birth of our daughter, we just didn't want to pay so much for an apartment. In their defense, pretty much all of Miami apartments are charging in that price range. We just preferred to go the private rental route. We highly recommend this community to anyone looking to a nice and quiet place to live!
