Property Manager at Woodlake Village, Responded To This Review
We're thrilled to hear you've settled in so well and appreciate your kind words about Michael, Wendy, and our facilities. Thank you for making our community your home! The Woodlake Team.
Just moved to the area and found this place. Kind of made a fast decision and the wife wasn’t with me. But as they say happy wife happy life! The family is thrilled with the free Kona ice truck and the cool Easter egg hunt. People here are so nice and friendly. The pool and area is very clean. When I go to pay rent I always see a friendly face. It’s more of a true village than apartments.
We sold our house and decided to try apartment living and……..Best decision ever!!! Grounds are well kept without me doing it, maintenance is amazing, pool is so clean and I didn’t have to do it and the staff is so nice.
The worst dwelling to live in. The place is extremely infested with cockroaches that don’t go away and the living condition is below poor: old buildings, cracks every where, poor A/C with poor filter quality. When called for service you have to wait hours for your turn and they don’t fix anything. The pest control comes in and sprays but nothing change. The cockroaches comes in ought back in. Poor kitchen and low quality water it tastes like well water. The rent went twice by $350 and what for nothing in return the same hell with higher cost. The neighbors most on drugs and you smell majurana throughout. I highly advice not to move in there you can do better with your money.
They don’t care about their tenants, all they care is about having rent on time, they disturb you almost everyday with something new they trying to construct in the complex, it’s highly annoying, they take forever to help you fix any type of problem, the apartments are way overpriced for the weak and old conditions they find themselves. overall I would never recommend this place. You’ll have a better chance living under a bridge.
We have been renting with Woodlake Village for 2 years now and to be honest I couldn’t be happier that we are leaving. Constant calls for maintenance for the air conditioning, to issues with plumbing, to all the work and repairs they’ve had to do to the apartment building. A lot of which has cause cracks in our walls in the apartment. Thankfully no major hurricanes have come because we would’ve been washed away lol I’m just saying. I will say the amenities are nice for the price of rent. Good updated laundry room and nice main pool.
I am a former country gal from New York. I have never lived in an apartment until March of this year. My boyfriend, now husband, and I drove around the Palm Bay area after searching apartments online. We made a day of it and The last stop of the day was Woodlake Village Apartments. The grounds were well groomed and buildings well taken care of. The leasing office was inviting and the employees sharply dressed and very friendly. After letting them know what we were looking for, we were chauffeured via a golf cart to view an apartment set up like the one we were interested in. We signed the lease and other paperwork to qualify to lock in on a ground floor coming available. When we pulled up with our haul, we were welcomed with smiles and given our keys. Needless to say, the Apartment is more beautiful than Iany house I've ever lived in. It was clean, had a new carpet everywhere accept the bathroom entrances and kitchen. We love the sliding glass doors, the convenience of one of the pools with well maintained, new, clean laundry. The maintenance staff are wonderful, friendly and respectful. We have coverage 24/7. I walk outside my sliding glass door and sit on my patio, in view of the pool, squirrels running after each other, from tree to tree, after coming to me to get peanuts, and momma ducks with her babies visiting for some cornbread. I even have a bluejay who comes on occasion to get peanuts. The whole apartment complex, which is large, is so warm and inviting, that I enjoy the drive from the main road thru a row of trees that provide me with the thoughts of the country life I left and the new city life I live now. I could honestly spend the rest of my life right here in my apartment at Woodlake Village. They say, "you can take the girl out of the country, but not the country out of the girl.". I have the best of both worlds right here.
When we first arrived the apartments looked old and worn. We rented this apartment sight unseen because we were moving from 2,000 miles away. The apartment had new carpet but smelled like someone smoked 3 packs a day for 3 years. We had to say something for them to do a ozone treatment. There were probably 20 things that needed repaired and we had tohave them come spray for bugs twice in the first week we were there. The work got done but it took awhile. The area we found out was not a good one and everyone we meet told us this. We saw a couple drug deals go down outside the apartment. Overall I can't wait to move in 8 months to a safer area.
Apartments are spacey and very homey. Rooms are perfect in size and the round the clock maintenance is a plus in emergency situations. Neighbors are friendly and the complex itself is beautiful inside and out. The 3 swimming pools are very clean and there is even a dog park for your furry friends!!!
For the most part it's not a bad place to live. It's relatively quiet, the office staff is always courteous and friendly. The maintenance crew keeps the apartments running smoothly. I only wish there were fewer speed bumps to have to go over when going in and out of the complex. I've inquired with them about putting in speed humps which are gentler on the cars and still effective, but they only replaced the old speed bumps with new ones. Not much of an improvement there. The apartments don't come with a laundry hook up and only the larger apartments have the option to rent a stackable washer and dryer. With such a limitation for laundry I wish they would put a higher priority on keeping the washers and dryers in good working order. Outside of other minor inconveniences that I would have no matter what complex I lived in I would have to say that Woodlake Village in Palm Bay Florida is one of the better complexes to live in.
