Property Ratings at Forest Glen Apartments and Townhomes
The staff here are wonderful. Dallas and Billy are always on top of everything and super helpful, but the apartments are outdated and need major help. Spickets are always coming in from the back door, windows are super drafty, the bathroom looks like it hasn't been recaulked in a decade, and the kitchen looks NOTHING like the photos. The layout is nice, staff is nice, but the apartment itself needs a little renovation and love.
The on-site maintenance team is rude and doing everything possible to make the tenant's life miserable: disconnecting water and power without any notice, etc. Also, power failures are happening literally every day for the last two weeks, also today, on Thanksgiving (11/24/20). Rental price goes up with the proportional decrease in quality of pretty much everything.
Property manager neglects the maintenance of the units and are very slow with repairs. Units are poorly insulated and have thin floors. Expect to hear every little step and creak above you.
Property Manager at Forest Glen Apartments and Townhomes, Responded To This Review
Sorry to hear that you feel this way. We have full-time on-site property maintenance who are ready and available to deal with any issues promptly. Regarding the noise, we could try to find a way to resolve this issue- just let the leasing office know.
We called our management for a bug infestation in our apartment. We tried to visit the Forest Glen apartment office but that was closed and then proceeded to go to the Treetops one. We expressed the urgency in the matter since these big, fat ants were multiplying and spreading all over our beds, personal belongings, etc. The management was rude and told us we were overreacting. They they proceeded to tell us that they would be in touch with the exterminator and call us back. No one called us back and no one picked up our phone calls all day, and then the office closed. It is poor management, horrible communication skills and bad maintenance.
Property Manager at Forest Glen Apartments and Townhomes, Responded To This Review
So sorry to hear this! We have a top-notch exterminator to treat apartments, take detailed notes on each visit and follow-up. They treat the complex on a regular basis and can make special trips for emergencies.
The rent has gone up astronomically since Oxford Realty took over this complex. Things have broken constantly, the only positive thing I can say is that the maintenance man, is very polite, efficient, and quick to come when we call. We are constantly getting notices about work being done in the development and having to secure pets, then only to return home to find out that the work was never completed in the first place and my dog had to be caged all day for no reason. Jack hammering all summer beginning at 8:00 am with small kids is not ok. They refinished the outside of the apartments two years ago but never finished the decks which are still bright blue. The woman in the office is not very pleasant to deal with. The apartment is ok, nothing special. Pros: there is a good amount of closet space in the bedroom and that the development overall feels safe unlike other apartments in this area.
