Oldtown is a small neighborhood about a mile from Downtown Baltimore and was once home to the historic Old Town Mall, an old shopping center. The historic neighborhood is up-and-coming and several plans for redevelopment are underway, including new storefronts. Oldtown has a variety of rowhouses and apartments available for rent at various price points, but the area is known to have more affordable options. Along with affordability and proximity to downtown, Oldtown is convenient to other popular destinations in Baltimore like Johns Hopkins University and Patterson Park, a sprawling park used for festivals and the home of the famed Pagoda, a circa-1890 observation tower.

Property Ratings at Forrest Street
It's a very quiet neighborhood its very deceptive for the area but its actually quite peaceful and haven't heard of any break ins
Here they keep the grounds clean as well as the buildings.
Great garden apartment living! Its a community within itself. I really feel safe in my apartment and the other tenants in the building are friendly.
I really like this place to live, apartments are comfortable and the place is quiet.
Forrest Street Apartment is a nice place to call home. The property management team is very nice and helpful. I enjoy being a resident here.
It is very difficult to get a hold of the the 1 leasing lady that they have. It takes days and sometimes a week to get a response. Went to view a property here in June 2020, and every time it was a waiting line to get access to the leasing office and sometimes no one was at the leasing office. Everything is delayed or slowed because they have just 1 leasing office staff and appear to have just one maintenance worker. They charge kind of high for a property in the hood part of Downton and the company won't even properly staff the place. At took my money else where because if it's this hard to get a hold of someone to just see the property and fill out an application then imagine when you move in.
I have been leaving here for 7 months, recently had an issue with my car being towed while it was parked on the property, management handled that in the poorest way possible, I felt disrespected and I ended up paying all the bills, since I am a paying customer I expect a more considering behavior from the management, it assured me that if I have any issues while I am living here I can not count on any help or service from the management level. be aware. Thanks,
I loved living here. Pet friendly. You can get anywhere great location. It’s near just about every bus line, subway, lightrail. It’s in a clean area and the manager and maintenance people are friendly. Wish I could have stayed.
I have heard stories from the staff themselves about how horrible the place use to be, but they are doing very well now. Mrs. Gilford is really nice and she will take you to as see as many units as you need to see before deciding and is a great administrator. The maintenance is very good. Anything that I need to be fixed is fixed the same day or the next day. No bug problems. They keep the grounds up to date, and they are constantly improving the buildings. The only thing that is a huge problem is they DO NOT accept packages. So if you are like me and work during the day, you will have to get a PO box. Hopkins employees get $500 off their first month's rent.
I'm a first time mover and going out into the world, I was honestly terrified. But I found this and fell instantly in love. The leasing office was so helpful. From moving in to key replacement. The area is quiet and pleasant. The neighbors are always friendly and willing to help with your groceries. I adore living here!
