-dirty apartments -rude staff -rodents and bed bugs

This used to be a horrible place then it got better .. now with the current management it has gotten to be a pit!!! Never respond to repair issues and god help you if you ask a follow up or two on the same issues ... They charge additional charges and blame you for paying them although when you attempt not to pay you are told you will be put out. You have new procedures put on you at the managements whim with no advance notice .. you call for explanation .. sit on hold for endless time only to hang up, call back and get the answering machine. The property manager is rude and is in no way a "people" person. Not sure how she has managed to keep her position as long as she has. Probably due to charging the increased fees etc. Oh, and best of all is getting turn out notices .. AFTER your rent as been paid .. that would be FILED date ... we wouldn't expect her to contact the court to notify weekly of payments .. nooo .. too much to ask. Guess whatever doesn't give her a golf cart ride doesn't get attention. Advice ..move elsewhere

My wife and I moved here for a short while when we fell on hard times. And since I had lived in box hill for most of my life I thought how bad could it be. First off, the walls are paper thin, you can hear your neighbors as if they are in the room with you. So we could hear our lovely neighbor SCREAM AND SLAM THINGS AROUND EVERY NIGHT. We wend to management multiple times and nothing was done. When the property manager first showed us one of the units I notices a strong cleaning chemical smell and she said they had just cleaned this unit out from the previous tenants. I realize now it was to try to get the smell of damp, mold and stale cigarettes out of our "non smoking" unit. We had to throw away our couch and mattress because the smell never came out. The heater didn't work properly, we would blast it and it would still be cold, which is almost impressive for a 500sq ft apartment. We ended up paying more to attempt to heat that place than we pay now in our 1200 sq ft place. After all their fee's you will end up paying just as much as a MUCH NICER place. I repeat, DONT EVER MOVE HERE!

I have just signed on for my 2 nd year. It's quiet, SAFE and my 70# dog is welcome. There were absolutely no hidden fees. The only additional fee is price fixe water and insurance and that is verbalized up front. The apartments are dated but for the price ( and I visited many before finding this) it can't be beat. It's a wonderful place to live

I absolutely love living here! It is quiet and beautiful! Lots of trees, birds and nature. They are very pet friendly! Lisa, Scott and Thomas are fantastic! They try to take care of everyone and everything. This community is a great place for a great price. It doesn't offer all the bells and whistles of newer communities but I don't need or want to pay for them anyway. Forsythia Court is a wonderful place to come home to.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS APARMENT COMPLEX. READ YOUR LEASE, THEY SNEAK EXPENSIVE CHARGES THAT OTHERS DO NOT. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO MY ENEMY. WORST PLACE EVER. THE ONLY GOOD THING IS THE MAINTENCE DEPARTMENT, SCOTT IS THE BEST I HAVE ENCOUNTERED IN APARMENT LIVING. THE MANAGER LISA IS HORRIBLE, SHE LIES TO YOUR FACE, AND THEN THE RENTER PAYS THE PRICE. SHE IS THE WORST PERSON I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN MY ENTIRE BUSINESS CAREER. SMALL AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY. THEY CHARGE $49 FOR ONE PERSON FOR WATER A MONTH. NO REASON TO TYPE ALL THE HORRIBLE ITEMS, I LIVED AT THIS DIVE FOR OVER 3 YEARS AND LUCKILY WAS TRANSFERRED SO I DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS HORRIBLE PLACE ANYMORE. THE ONLY REASON I STAYED WAS IT WAS CLOSE TO WORK AND STORAGE WAS AWESOME. WAS LOOKING FOR NEW PLACE WHEN I WAS TRANSFERRED.

I'm happy to have found Abingdon's little secret. Warm and friendly staff, beautiful private suites, and a perfect landscape...A true breath of fresh air.

The so called "free" water and trash is NOT FREE! They charge $49 EXTRA a month for it. The maintenance is unreliable; if something breaks you can never get ahold of them and if you do they won't do anything about it for weeks on end. You practically have to harass them to be able to do something. The apartments themselves are damp and you'll probably have to buy a dehumidifier. Not to mention paper thin walls where everyone knows everyone's business. If you are looking in Abingdon I HIGHLY recommend that you DO NOT waste your time and energy with this mediocre cesspool.

The spacious town homes are very affordable ' and it's in a quiet lovely neighborhood ! I love it .

Harford county is an expensive area to live, especially if you want to stay out of the "bad neighborhoods" forsythia apartments seemed to be the silver lining on the grey cloud of hope on finding an affordable, comfortable place to live with my 3 cats and 2 dogs. They allow any breed any weight, great! Well you have to keep them on a 6 foot leash, and most of the residents are afraid of my 60 pound 5 month old puppies. The rent is cheaper than other apartments in the area, theres a few reasons for that. The floor is linoleum on top of some sort of deteriorating, fake wood floor that's caving in on some areas, the window has been broken since we moved in and the office and maintenance people have such horrible communication that know one knows why it hasn't been fixed yet. as far as "emergency maintenance" goes, there is none- there's a number that you can call, but no one will answer.. The people who live here are really nice, and quiet, but as far as the apartments themselves go, understand that you're going with the cheapest apartments in the area, and you're getting what you pay for.

Forsythia court apartments are a great value for the area. there are no worries about upstairs or downstairs neighbors as all units are single level. there is also additional attic storage in each unit and hookups for washer and dryer in 1B and larger apartments. the staff here is super friendly and always helpful. they are pet friendly as well which is great for those with cats or dogs of all kinds. they don't really discriminate against breed here as long as your dog is friendly.
