Nicknamed the hub city because of the railroad tracks that join like a hub in the city's center, Aberdeen is a thriving town of approximately 27,000 residents, and finding apartments to rent in Aberdeen is fairly easy. Thanks to the large student population, the town has a lot of rentals, and the growing number of new residents has encouraged community members to build more executive and luxury apartments.
In spite of its relatively small population, the town offers its residents great shopping, fabulous restaurants, and plenty of cultural attractions. Whether you are looking for a place to raise your family, a spot to make your career soar, or a relaxing hamlet for retirement, Aberdeen fits the bill.

Property Ratings at Forte Living of Aberdeen: 50+ Community!
Forte became my home June 1, 2024. Since that time I have made many new friendships. This is possible because of the great “community “ atmosphere. Playing cards, games and participating in potlucks and Forte sponsored events has given me the opportunity to meet and become friends with so many. Need help. A helping hand is there. Jaz, building manager is right there for everything you need. Need something fixed, Brian and Jon are right on it. Jason does a great job on the lawn mowing, snow removal, etc. Liz keeps our “home” clean and presentable at all times. The amenities are amazing! Underground heated garage, movie theater, library, outdoor grills and fire pits to enjoy. Forte truly spoils us. I am so glad I made the choice to move to Aberdeen and Forte Living. So happy here! Thank you Forte! Vicki Bartz
Moving to Aberdeen from out of state was a difficult decision. Finding housing that would complement my wife, pet, and me was challenging too. Until we found Forte Living!!! Their commitment to their building and its residents is top grade! Thank you management and maintenance team.
Love the apartment spacious 2 bed and 2 bathrooms, love the library, workout room, under parking lot-don't have to scrap snow off my car, and best yet the potlucks!
My husband & I have been at the Forte in Aberdeen, SD. We could not ask for a better community, eminities and staff. Our life has been enriched with multiple new friendships, renewed old friendships and overall has filled a warm spot in our hearts. Thank you Forte. Shelley Ochsner
Love living here! We feel comfortable and secure here. The staff is great, attentive to the tenants needs. We highly recommend it! David and Cindy Sitter
We have lived at Forte for a month now. It is a beautiful place full of nice neighbors. We particularly enjoy the lovely patio to enjoy the sunshine. We like the beautiful library and the multi choice coffee machine, available for everyone, is a real delight. The fitness room is a plus for maintaining health and strength. Anyone thinking of apartment living will be very wise to check it out. We look forward to many happy times here.
