I would not recommend this apartment complex. The apartments are in very poor conditions internally with outdated appliances and severly degrated finishes. When we moved it, the apartment was very dirty and we had to do extra cleaning. The maintenance crew is reasonbly good at responding to work orders. In addition, if you have any issues or life emergiences, management will not help you out at all. If you contact them, they will simply not respond to your request or pick up your calls. They will extract every single penny they can out of you with an inhuman approach. When we checked out, they charged us unreasonable fees on cleaning and additional rent outside of lease. Also, they would not remove pet rent fees after our pet left the apartment. You have to pay water and trash fees, even if you don't use them. If you can, I would suggest finding a newer apartment complex with better management.
My stay at Foundations at Austin Colony has been nothing short of a disappointment. I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others who may be considering this apartment complex as their potential home. First and foremost, the apartments themselves are in a state of disrepair. They are old, run down, and clearly in need of significant renovations. The walls are scuffed, the carpets are worn and stained, and the appliances are outdated. It's disheartening to pay hard-earned money for a place that lacks even basic maintenance and care. The management team has been a major source of frustration. I have found them to be disrespectful and unprofessional in their interactions. They have consistently failed to address the concerns and issues I have raised during my tenancy. Their lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to negotiate or find solutions is extremely disheartening. It is clear that resident satisfaction and well-being are not priorities for them. I strongly advise against considering this place as a housing option. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for others seeking a suitable living situation. These apartments are way over priced!! The only thing that is upgraded is the kitchen and that's not worth the price when everything else is NOT working!! They just keep painting over damaged walls and then when you leave they say it was done by you and make you pay for it and never actually fix it. The hot water takes way to long to get hot. You waste so much water trying to get a hot shower. My water bill was $65.44 for ONE person!! These buildings are over 35 years old and need a lot of work behind the walls. Their not updated units have roaches in the walls I would request for them to spray and I would spray my own stuff but you can't fight them when they are in the walls. The location is the best thing and that is it!! Stay away!!! Save your money!!!
Its a nice place to live. Everything is very nearby - First colony Mall, Walmart, Costco, Ross, Kumon ,ice skating, dance class, piano class, Pediatricians, Physicians, Library, Post office...EXCEPT one disadvantage ---- Elementary School. They hid the fact that this apartment is rezoned to Colony Bend Elementary school from Colony Medews Elementary school. Due to the rezone, there will be no school bus transportation from this apartment to the Colony Bend Elementary School since the distance is just a mile. As usual the rental office people will talk to you nicely before you rent the apartment. Once you rent, thats all you'll become their slaves and have to wait for each and everything. We were so surprised to hear that such a big community do not have a team for maintenance. And the office has only 3 people working - One Manager and 2 Assistants. Those assistants have to take care of your maintenance requests. Those people are always busy in showing the apartments to the future residents and doesn't care about the current residents.

I've only been here for less than 6months but the management has met all work orders and suggestions in a timely manner. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is always well-maintained and the neighbors are decent quiet people.
