Foundry Yards

DO NOT rent from foundry yards. There was mold in our apartment that the managers refused to take care of for multiple months. It was all over the bathroom, closet and living room. I had to clean all my clothes and the entire apartment shortly after moving in. The management is not helpful and very slow at even responding to complaints. The hallways constantly smelled like weed. The common areas and pool are always trashed and never cleaned. If you are a graduate student or resident looking to move. Please rent from any other apartment complex. They recently had major water damage to multiple apartments because a fire setting off the sprinkler system to which they took multiple hours to respond to. Really the worst management i've ever dealt with. Truly, the worst living experience.

It has been put into writing that safety is not a guarantee here at Foundry Yards when asked about getting a door repaired for the last month that has allowed for anyone to enter the apartment building...add the daylight bike heist from a locked room and multiple car break-ins, you will love feeling at home here! Do not worry though, they guarantee this is all just part of what it is like to live in downtown Birmingham!

DO NOT LIVE HERE! Multiple break-ins, cars stolen and car break-ins happen in a “gated control accessed” garage. It is not secure and crime is bad at the building. Management is horrible!

This place is awful. Multiple break-ins. Unsanitary common areas. No resident activities. The property management company is difficult to deal with.

I have lived at Foundry Yards for almost a year. The RangeWater management team was amazing. The new company is not helpful or tenant friendly. With my lease renewal coming up I have been trying to contact them to talk about viewing possible other units. Primarily to move away from the LOUD train noises all night and all the loud cars doing burnouts in the parking area next door. They don’t return emails or phone calls but they will walk to your door and leave a note asking for you to renew. I sure miss the old team. They knew how to make people feel welcome.

The new management who took over is the worst! Broken amenities, lies, non returned phone calls, dirty, and just rude office staff. They refuse to call anyone back and won’t enforce any rules or fix any of the amenities that are broken. On top of that, we have yet to receive our gift card that we were promised in our lease.

I have had a terrible experience living here (and I’m not the only one). Many people talk about how the staff does nothing to resolve issues, and the building is new yet already falling apart. I have hated living here. We had noise issues coming from a neighboring using, where we could not sleep except from 1-5am. Yet, the staff has done nothing to resolve our problem, even when they have heard it themselves and we have video proof. Overall, don’t live here you will regret it.

We moved in a few months ago and love it! There were a few hiccups (no fault of the staff or ownership) but the staff has worked tirelessly to address and correct any issues we’ve had. The location is ideal and within walking distance to almost everything we need, including retail shopping, grocery shopping, restaurants, and the medical and financial districts. Additionally we are a short 5 min drive to interstate access. The amenities (pool, gym, remote office work space, outdoor grills and pet spaces, etc) are always clean and well kept. We LOVE it here!

I have lived here for a few months and it is amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful and attend to all my needs in a timely manner.
