Do you see adventures on the horizon? Then you should consider moving to Papago, a large Phoenix neighborhood just north of Sky Harbor International Airport. And speaking of horizon, you can gaze out at a spectacular red-and-gold sunrise from inside the famous sandstone Hole-in-the-Rock caverns at Glen Canyon.
Red sandstone formations encompass Papago Park. The park is a favorite hiking destination for locals, and it houses the Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Garden. During the garden’s Las Noches de las Luminarias festival, visitors are delighted by hundreds of glowing paper lanterns illuminating the various gardens at night.
Locals enjoy Papago’s convienient access to Phoenix’s art and culture museums as well as major roadways. Shopping in the area includes stores such as Target, Burlington, and Ross. So what are you waiting for? It’s time for you to Papa-go get your apartment.

Property Ratings at Fountain Oaks
This place is disgusting, do not move here! You wonder why the move in fee is so slow? They have roaches, not only do they have roaches but fruit flys and even more. Our oven stopped working and they wouldn’t even come and check on it. This place does not care about you!! They steal packages, walls are thin, HOLES IN THE WALLS!!! This place is not built correctly and they’re obviously just money hungry. For the rent it’s not worth it and this place is disgraceful and disgusting. If you read this please do not live here it’s a warning.
Rented here for 2 years, do not recommend unless you have no other option. They have roaches, mold problems, and the water main backs up frequently causing sewage water to flow into the apartments. The laminate bedroom floors were mildewy and water damaged and were not changed upon turnaround of tenants. They also refused to refund my refundable pet deposit despite a year of calls and emails trying to at least get a receipt of what my deposit was spent on to repair. Terrible apartment complex all around.
The complex is overrun by children with no supervision who do whatever they want all through all hours of the night. The children wander wherever they please and management does nothing.they will congregate in front of your apartment whether they live there or not. They tell you when you are looking that the security is good. Dont believe it ththe security is uselessand sits a t a table watching his phone all evening. Vehicles are often damaged in the parking lot and when you bring it to the attention of management they do nothing and threaten your lease contract. The entire complex is infested with roaches and drug dealers. There is garbage everywhere. All the fixtures outside have been ripped apart by the aforementioned children. Said children overrun and destroyed the laundry room so now childless tenants have to deal with closing hours on the laundry room because they refuse to make rhe parents do anything. Avoid at all costs there are better places for the price.
The cops are always in the complex because there's always something going on. I lived here for 3 months I moved my belongings out to a storage unit due to the roach infestation until I was able to move again. 4 families in various apartments had moved out since I moved in complaining about the roaches, drugs, and noise at all hours of the night! The rent should be free it's very close to being inhabitable. I've had damage to my property both my vehicle and clothing in the poorly maintenanced washers & too small car ports.
These are the worst apartment complex you can stay at. Dirty you put a work order they won't get back to you in weeks but there fast to give you a notice and violate you in seconds what a shame. Security is not doing his job he's just on his phone instead of doing his job. The leasing staff and manager don't care for their tenants if we break our contract or not.
I chose to live here, because I liked the location and it was affordable. Sure there are things about the property I don’t like, but that is not managements fault and at the end of the day the leasing office has been extremely nice to me. I have lived at over 5 properties the past 8 years of living in Arizona and this property has the best customer service out of all of them. If you are looking for an apartment with good service, cheap rent, close to the freeways, and in a SRP area you found it!!!
They habitually increase the rent. There was a point when the trash was only collected once a week. They have a habit of shutting off water at random times for an odd number of hours. People steal your parking space and towing shows up an hour later. The noise pollution is ridiculous and I smell marijuana through my bathroom vent. The AC unit is old and outdated. It used to be okay but now there is an occurrence of drug dealing and homeless drinking in the laundry room. Oh, and our car has endless scratches from neighbors slamming their car door against our car. Plus the entire complex is infested with cockroaches. And good luck parking your second car anywhere near you. If your are desperate, well the positives are the following; Master bedroom is separated from any of your neighbors walls, the windows are double pane, the walls are pretty thick, with the windows close the noise pollution decreases dramatically (but who wants to use the AC when there is fresh cool air outside). There's a mechanical water dispenser nearby. I know there aren't many positives but I tried to include as much I could think of, just in case if any of you guys are just starting off on your own. P.S. Bring lots of lamps. The only light switch that is actually connect to a light fixture is located in the kitchen.
Property Manager at Fountain Oaks, Responded To This Review
We are sorry you had an unpleasant experience. We made improvements, such as installing a lock on the laundry room door, placing official trespassing signs throughout the property, and creating new parking policies. Please call the office, if you are interested in hearing about additional enhancements we made and are making to the property.
It is oblivious that the owners of this place as well as management don't care at all about the property. I can't wait to get out of lease.
