Regionally known as the home of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Vallejo is also one of the Bay Area’s most active artistic communities. The downtown arts district, specifically the community center known as The Hub, serves as the epicenter of the local art scene, and the monthly Vallejo Art Walk is famous statewide.
The city takes full advantage of the mild climate with outdoor events and festivals year-round, including the weekly farmers market and celebrations in honor of the community’s diverse heritage. Several nature preserves and golf courses are nearby, particularly along San Pablo Bay, giving Vallejo apartment renters abundant access to outdoor activities.

Property Ratings at Fountain Plaza Hills
Loved this apartment complex! The apartment complex was just an excellent location, safe, neighbors are super friendly and the landlord is absolutely great! Liz was very responsive and is such a nice person. Maintenance was also excellent and helps you in a very timely manner. Overall, a great place to live.
Property Manager at Fountain Plaza Hills, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review of Fountain Plaza Hills! We really appreciate the wonderful things you've said about our community and our team!
I recently moved out of a 2 bedroom apartment here. Best place I’ve ever rented from! Liz, the manager was always onsite to help with any issue (I had one, a leaky faucet), it was fixed the same day!! Quiet place, brought my granddaughter over a few times and she loved the park setting, great place if you are new to the area (one of the best areas in Vallejo), young, old, doesn’t matter. People are VERY friendly. I would definitely rent there again if needed!!! Thank you Fountain Plaza! You made my stay very comfortable.
Lived here the past 2 years. This is the best complex in Vallejo by far! Pros: - Management is friendly and handles every maitenence request with care. - Crime has never been an issue here despite it being Vallejo. The surrounding area is safe enough to go on walks day or night. No issues with cars being vandalized either. I will say that you will occasionally hear gun shots in the far distance, but that’s because we live in the Vallejo hills. - Rent is affordable compared to other apartments nearby - Easy commute to Sacramento, East Bay, or SF/Oakland. Cons: - The walls and ceilings are thin, so you do hear everything unfortunately. - The surrounding homes and Blue Rock Springs are noisy. There’s always people doing burnouts, donuts, lighting fireworks, and throwing parties. The entire month of July is miserable because of fireworks. - No central heating, so you need to use your own fans to keep cool in the summer and the outdated heaters in the unit during winter. Overall, I love it here and don’t want to move out anytime soon. 100% recommend if you see an opening.
quieter part of vallejo, simply beautiful layout, friendly maintenance guys, and very respectful community that's more diverse than than a bowl of halloween candy.
Extremely excellent Elizabeth, you rock!!!! Thanks for being superb and informative and giving super helpful info about apartments and what do do where I currently live. Can we please clone you at least twice so others will learn from you? Especially where I live. Thanks also for the reccomendation to other apartments in the area. Thanks for a great impression, after a very poor one at Blue Rock Village.
Have the most friendliest staff ever. I sometimes call and ask for i think might be a stupid question (but i just gotta ask anyways) I'm one of those "easily freaked out" people. But the staff are very very nice, very welcoming, and very helpful and very patient with you. The place is amazing as well very quite and really cool neighbors. It's so far one of the best decision I made :)
The staff are AMAZING and very helpful. My Neighbors are really friendly and the place is very quite as well.
My apartment is pretty nice. It needs a couple of upgrades but it serves it's purpose. The neighborhood is really nice and the crime is low which I love. I have been living her for 3 years and the staff and the people are nice. They are pretty good on fixing things when you call. Overall it's a good place to live.
I only viewed the community as a prospect, but I found it to be charming, clean and has some nice amenities.
The apartments are nice however, they have to many unrealistic qualification for under middleclass resident in Vallejo..
I previously lived at these apartments since 2006 recently moved this August past to a house. Before I left I told the manager, if this house doesn't work for me "I will be back". I miss my apartment now, I miss the comfort, I miss the friendly caring management and staff. I may be calling Liz/Deb by the end of this year for a 2 bedroom.
I've only lived here less than a week! I can already feel the respect the neighbors have for one another. The grounds are well maintained, the plant life is in the throws of changing with the season. The days are quiet with the evening comes the playful chatter of children..My apartment was clean and ready for my move-in.
I just moved in. The manager was really helpful and kind in making my move in smooth and troubleless. Fountain Plaza Hills is a safe, peaceful, and quiet place to live. The apartment is clean and spacious. It is also closed to many shopping areas such as costco, safeway, target, etc. very positive experiene overall!
I have lived here for two years and I really like this neighborhood. Fountain Plaza Hills is a safe place to live for pharmacy, medical, or PA students. It is a peaceful and quiet place for studying. The staffs are friendly and always there to answer your questions on a timely manner. Another positive thing is that there are nearby grocery stores: safeway, target and other shopping places and restaurants that are 10 minutes away. The apartments are clean and spacious which is awesome!
I lived at the property for almost 3 years and had to move because of my job. I loved it there and never had any problems. The staff in the office is great and the maintenance men were super professional and polite. I rarely got to use the pool but when I did it was very nice and relaxing. They are pretty stict on the pool rules but it's good because you don't get outsiders! I miss the property and hope my job transfers me back!
