Property Ratings at Fountain Terrace Apartments
Fountain Terrace is actually pretty nice. And the location is crazy good. 30th St. feeds directly on to the Mopac Expressway and a bunch of food, stuff I want, etc is only a block away.I've lived here a couple months and like it.
Cockroaches in the apartments. Bullies in the courtyard. At least the cockroaches don't approach you in the grocery store.
Fountain Terrace should be great. But almost everyone hates their time here. No renews except for a small group that's lived here for years. Or used to live here. Any one thinking of signing a lease should check it out and realize how many empty units there are. There's a reason for that. It's just not a fun place to live.
The first morning I lived here I went to pour a bowl of cereal and multiple cockroaches came running out of the cereal box.
The property management team is extremely inept at actually managing a property. Seemingly depending on their amazing skill at advertising to constantly get new tenants as no one renews.
Fountain Terrace is nothing like the misleading Internet advertising. It's an extremely old building with lots of cockroaches and is managed by an extremely inept management team. They're really good at creating a good online image. Don't sign a lease without looking in person. It's very different from what we were sold.
Fountain Terrace is great place to bring pets. Sometimes people from the complexes next door do exactly that. Which is cool, as long as they scoop the poop.
The location is nice. You can Google Maps it if you want. And the apartment complex itself is ok. But it's constantly being renovated. For the past year. Every time someone moves out, they upgrade the unit. So no matter how nice your place is. 6 months later your next door neighbors with have better. And don't even think about getting the property managers on the phone. It's 2022 people.
Fountain Terrace is close to several good restaurants and a grocery store. It's general location would save anyone living in Austin and moving around hours each week.
Fountain Terrace is located perfectly. Allows all dog sizes. And has a small pool in a large courtyard. But during the freeze of 21 all of the small trees died. And they've still there. Dead and leafless.
It's in the perfect spot. Has a small pool. Some of the neighbors hang out in the courtyard. Which has some dead trees in it. But everything else is good enough to still rate 5 stars.
Not just it's great location. It has a nice inner courtyard and pool. Sometimes its oldness peeks out from under all the new renovations. But nothing too bad.
The apartments are basic. But the location is next to Godliness. I've started to save hours a week. Last night I rode downtown on a scooter.
The management at Fountain Terrace are inept at a variety of issues. From basic maintenance to aggressive tenants. It is in a beautiful area. But when you enter your own courtyard, it’s like you’re leaving safety to go into a bad neighborhood.
It's an old 80's style complex that's been recently renovated. Great location. You can walk to so much great food and shops. Close to the MoPac turn off. And UT.
These Apartments are right next to the University of Texas in Austin. Costs the same as sharing a place on Campus. And I've gotten used to being right around the corner, but not in the thick.
This apartment has made me depressed. No matter how much you clean, it's never clean, costly finding bugs and dirt everywhere. The shower is desperately in need to be re grounded, we had a cockroach infestation in our fridge and was just sprayed, not given a new fridge. The air filters no matter how changed leave dust everywhere, stuck to the walls. There is no natural light, a bunch of weirdos live here also. When we moved in, the apartment had not even been cleaned, with paint bucket in our closet, dust coated ceiling fan, bugs crawling everywhere. The washer machines are also inconviently upstairs, very dirty, and make you pay. I recently washed brand new clothes and they were ruined by most likely oil from the washer. This is the most depressing place I have ever lived and would not recommend it to anyone. The manager is also very rude and hates dogs. I hate this place
I do not recommend this complex. There was a gas explosion, a death in the swimming pool. A tenant shot his gun causing a bullet to pass thru the walk way to the other side of my unit lodging in the closet door where two people resided and were home at the time. Manager & maintenance are rude, hostile & insulting to tenants. There was mishandling of funds on my account, A SIZEABLE CREDIT, I found done by the Manager. When brought to his attention He attempted to cover it up. Professionals & Physicians put Fountain Terrace on their NO REFERRAL LIST after viewing documents by the Manager in his own writing.I had to deposit my rent payments in Fountain Terraces Bank Acct from then on for my own protection. Disturbing notes and letters left at tenant doors. One about a termination I never gave and Manager had no proof of with a $300 pay out upon vacate with evident vacancies in the same complex and a rent sign in front of the complex at the time of this notice. Another note by the Manager reads "if you can pay more during the year come tell me". I WAS IN AN ACRIVE LEASE when I received this note. Car break-ins, bicycles stolen, Slow repairs if at all, Street people urinating on property and sleeping in up stair laundry rooms and under the stairs, continual drug smells and dealing including meth, washing machines not clean. The Manager showed my apt to total strangers WITHOUT my consent. I learned thru the new tenant. I WAS NOT MOVING! Manager & maintenance goes into tenant apts for no reason, when NO repair's turned in, NO emergency, NO notice they will need to make an entry & no notice they have gained entry. I left on a Constructive EVICTION IN MY FAVOR!
