Property Ratings at FOUNTAINS AT CARONDOLET
“If I could give Zero stars” I would. I’ve lived here for 2 years. I was going to wait until I moved out next month to write this review but After being hung up on management twice today, here it is. For starters, the day I signed my lease in Jan 2021, I walked into a apartment full of roaches was immediately turned off and requested my money back. I never received a call back from the property manager so I dealt with it. I put down borax and roach repellent and didn’t officially move in until February. The property manger did however give me $300 off my rent for that. The only good deed ever done here. Next I had to deal with the outside lights and hallway lights being off, at the time I was getting off work at 1am in the morning and had my 1 year old child with me. Took them 2 weeks to fix the issue. Next, they have abandoned cars in the parking lot and act like they are going to get them towed away by tagging them and nothing ever happens, abandoned cars have been sitting on this lot for 2 years. Next, I discovered a mouse in my unit. So I contacted the office and let them know. They sent someone to my door without telling me someone was coming out, I was not expecting a knock at the door, so I had to get dressed. I got to the door and they were gone after 2-3 knocks. So I called the office and asked if they could come back and was told maintenue was now “busy” when they were in the office talking to them while I was still on the phone. I asked if it takes 2 seconds to put down traps, can they come back and was told no again. Then I was given the option to come to the office and get the traps and put them down myself, I told them im 9 months pregnant and I don’t get paid to put down mice traps, I pay them for that. I was hung up on, so I called back and asked for someone to come back out, they again said no and hung up on me. I had to go in the office to get the issue rectified. Do. Not. Stay. Here. Unless it’s your absolute only option. The apartments look nice but they are infested with roaches, bed bugs and now.. mice. The people in the office are lazy and never want to answer the phone.
Apartment looks nice but management can take weeks to months to address issues including heat not working and bed bugs. Roaches are out of control and untreated. crime is definitely present in the area and evening gunshots are not uncommon.
My air conditioning has been broken since we moved in and I’ve been coming to the office since February and they’ve taken no action to fix it. Temperatures inside my apartment have reached up to 95 degrees with not even a response from management other than “we’ll look into it.” Management doesn’t respond to any maintenance requests and I also have a mice infestation. Trash is regularly not taken out which results in dumpsters literally overflowing with trash in a five to ten foot radius. Anyone who posts a positive review either got extremely lucky with their apartment, or they are lying.
Don’t live here they just take your money! Rent went up, on top of that sewage backed up into the bathtub!! Toilet won’t flush! Roach infested and they never come to fix anything!! And AC is not working in 90degree heat!! On top of that gun shots!!
This is not a fake bad review. Do not move in here. Place has an awful roach problem, doesn’t matter how clean you are. Ask anyone that lives here. Every single building has awful plumbing issues, and toilets that don’t work. And they are super short staffed because they have an awful team. Maintenance will never respond, they give you a list of things to fill out that go wrong with the apartment, and they will never fix any of it. The area is awful, the people are loud and fight in the parking lot. It is a WASTE of money. Do not move in and do not sign a lease it will be a huge mistake.
