The South Side of Corpus Christi is considered one of the prime residential neighborhoods of this industrious port city. With a great deal of new construction in the neighborhood, people are attracted to it because of the newer homes with updated amenities.
Those who love the outdoors find plenty to be excited about on the South Side, with Corpus Christi Bay and Oso Bay mere blocks away and the beaches of Mustang and Padre Islands just over a bridge. Low housing costs and friendly neighbors go a long way to making the South Side an attractive place to live.

Property Ratings at Four Winds Apartment Homes
We’ve had a roach and flea problem since the very beginning. Our ceiling is always leaking and our closet is soaked with water and the dishwasher is broken! All things we’ve been trying to get maintenance to take care of and no one has shown no matter how many requests you make!! Tell the office and they lie and say maintenance is on the way when they never are! And yes the hot water is limited and sometimes we never have
Apartments are old and falling apart. The walls crumble to the touch, probably due to all of the mold. SEVERAL times I've come across maggots' crawling out of the baseboards! I've lived here 4 years, and it's the same thing every week; water shut offs, A/C is broken, maintenance needs to come into my apartments just to work on other apartments. The maintenance team is never any good. They all have excuses to why they can't fix anything.. Had one tell me that the sun is the reason your a/c doesn't work right. And that I should keep all my windows covered.. I have so many fans because of this a/c issue, as well as sun block out curtains always drawn.. I wish I had something good to say...
I am a reasonable person that rarely leaves reviews. This place was HANDS DOWN the worst apartment living experience of my life. Not even going to waste by time writing out the infinite list of atrocities or stress that Four Winds introduced into my life the 9 months I lived here. And if you need more proof, sort by the newest comments across all platforms and do your own research before signing. It's all true. Don't make the same mistake that I as well as so many other unfortunate tenants have.
Horrible staff horrible apartment...no hot water ... roaches bad....charge you fees for everything...no parking laundry rooms steal your money... but above all the office staff ecpecially office manager is rude
As far as living there went the apartment was very spacious and the complex was easy to navigate. Very close to the highway so easy access. Close to a rather sketchy neighborhood with no gate though, but I never experienced any trouble with my car being messed with or anything. The carpet was new and nice. The new black counter toPs were just painted on but im not picky. The kitchen sucked, cabinets and drawers had saw dust on them with no covers. The shower head was 5 ft tall and I had to buy a new one since the one they had barley spouted water. The outside always looked trashy with garbage everywhere from the overflowing cans places around the lot. Apartment did have bugs from time to time, nothing crazy, but I knew my neighbors claimed to have a lot of issues. The laundry units were gross. Always breaking and full of water and the building smelled. I would have to walk across the complex to the one building that was operational. Idk if the people in my corner just misused them or what but that was awful. My biggest complaint was when I got a new job across the country and was force to break the lease with 6 months left. Every other apartment complex I’ve spoken to since or had friends who have broken leases say that they only have had to pay the final months rent and either lose their deposit or pay an additional months rent. Which to me was nbd if I had to. At four winds I was required to not only pay the ENTIRE 6 months rent, but also an additional fee over $600 for breaking my lease. Which makes no sense that I has to complete my contract and then pay an additional fee just cause I wasn’t physically living there. When I tried to set up a payment plan with them they failed to send me the proper paperwork. And when I called they told me I waited to long and it was my fault so I had to work with the collection agency affecting my credit score. Never have I had such an awful time working with anyone who claims to be in customer service. It’s jut so frustrating and financially debilitating for an apartment that wasn’t that nice to begin with. It was definitely one of the cheapest places for a reason, unfortunately I found out the hard way. If I had lived out my year there it would’ve been doable, but I would’ve gladly moved out ASAP. Hope this helps.
I was fine with all the other issues but when I moved out I was charged for deflea/deodorize $150 (I did not have any pets nor allowed any in my apartment), $300 for new carpet (It only had small stains, nothing damaging), and was charged for 5 months of water (which I wonder how my water stayed on if I had not paid it), they charged me also $20 for cleaning sink, tub, toilet etc... for a total of 950$... All this for a small 600sq ft apt that I lived in by myself for 2 years...
1st mistake believing that my apartment is move in ready . The fat roach capital , I spent my first month battling roaches off my bed every 5 to 10 minutes I would feel there little legs running around arms and legs and across my head. It was worst for those who don't like roaches . I called and asked the staff to fix the problem but they said that there hand s where tied and that the exterminator isn't scheduled until next month and told me to invest into some bug sprays . 2nd mistake awful pools all chairs broken and garbage floating in the water .. You can't even sit on a chair with out a side being torn , so becarefull to all them big people cause one might just bust when sitting .. 3rd mistake Staff and team are ok nice when you move in , the you sing the lease and for get about it . you will become a sore to them , you will be the fly on there there cake .. Because your going to want things fixed the maintains team for get it they look like they hate there little life's and spend there time eating sandwiches on there carts . nothing gets fixed until you move the flip out . 4th if you've reached my 4th mistake by know you should consider some help . trust me not good . With all my humanity and my honesty I warn you brothers and sisters .. 2nd year here I fell on hard times but this place deffenetly makes sure to abuse that situation and slapp and extra 50 dollars on it so make no mistake using there web site and if you do save your receipt because they will make you pay for there faulty system my back has a collection of complaints from the four winds tenets having problems paying rent ..
Well the last review was two years ago and it was 5 stars. Don’t let that fool you, this place is garbage and clearly that was left by the property manager. I currently live here and i am counting the days until leave. The only nice apartment here is the one they show you, you’re not going to see the apartment you are going to live in. at least i didn’t. it’s just all bad, nothing good about this place. live anywhere else please.
Pretty good place to live. I lived there and I never had any problems with the staff nor the apartment. We had problems with the AC but within a week I had maintainance go in and fix it. They were super friendly. The complex Was quiet, no problems with neighbors and the parking lot and walking grounds were always clean. No trash laying around. Only thing that turns me away from not renewing is that they are not pet friendly.
I have currently lived here at this apartment complex for nearly over 1 1/2. The staff in the front office is extraordinary and really caring they help with everything and much more. I have no had a problem with neighbors nor apartment layout since I've been a resident here.
Apartment is very nice for the price but the pools are closed on the weekends and even then when you do go it has a lot of chlorine. Laundry room usually smell bad but they are pretty good apartments.
