Property Ratings at Fox Chase
These apartments are great for the area and the office is responsive. maintenance is on it and willing to help. I've not had any real issues. I have plenty of storage and love the greenery around me. I always have a parking spot and the noise isn't bad even for a middle unit. I've not accessed any of the amenities due to Covid but I'm sure they are great.
This property is very affordable and is located in a area that has plenty of trails to enjoy. There are amenities that we have access to since the lots are smaller and separated. There are 3 Fox Chase subdivisions and each subdivision has 2 buildings. Wonderful balcony space with a storage. I’ve never had a bug issue and maintenance tries their best to respond in a timely manner. The doors open on two ends of the closet wall making the middle not easily accessible. The apartment is also a nice open space.
I've lived here contently for 8 years. Sadly there has been a decline in the property lately. If you are tied to a tight budget then there are worse places to be than here. If you have the ability to pay more for an apartment in a non-Ticon property then that would be the best option. On 7/18 I opened a maintenance request to say my dishwasher was not working. On 8/6 I called the office to ask when maintenance will come and the office staff tells me that urgent requests take priority and they haven’t had time to get to mine yet. On 9/10 a maintenance man came in and cleaned out around the motor, didn’t turn it on. I tried to run it after he left and it still isn’t working. I call the office on 9/11 and they open up a new maintenance request. On 9/22 a different person came and informed me that the pump was bad. Attempted to find a dishwasher from a different unit to swap. Contacted me later in the day to say he ordered a new dishwasher. On 10/8, the dishwasher was brought into my apartment but due to an urgent request, the maintenance man had to leave. 10/9 he came back to install it and then said that he didn’t have the right mounts to secure the dishwasher. That he needed to go to the store to get them. He never comes back and I'm left to assume an urgent request came up. It has been 84 days since the maintenance request was submitted and the issue has still not been resolved. Apparently, there are so many things malfunctioning in the Ticon Properties that they don't have time to fix non-urgent issues. Note, the maintenance crew are always very professional and skilled when I have interacted with them. It's not their fault that Ticon is putting them in the situation of working in an understaffed team. Ticon's inability to fully staff their maintenance crew and having them leave apartments mid non-urgent fix to go address an urgent issue means this poor crew is having to make multiple trips to units during the time of Covid-19. If Ticon fully staffed their team they could limit the interaction between people and keep everyone safer.
