Located in western Ohio, Dayton is widely regarded as the Birthplace of Aviation. Once home to the Wright brothers, Dayton lives up to its reputation with notable landmarks like the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park, National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and Hawthorn Hill—the Wright family mansion.
In addition to a rich history in aviation, Dayton touts an extensive array of recreational opportunities. The city’s Five Rivers MetroParks provides more than 16,000 acres of green space, helping to make Dayton the “Outdoor Capital of the Midwest.” Greater Dayton also boasts over 340 miles of paved trails, the largest network of paved trails in the nation.
Dayton also contains a bevy of metropolitan amenities, including the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center, Fifth Third Field, Dayton Convention Center, Carillon Historical Park, and the University of Dayton.

Property Ratings at Fox Hunt Apartments
Reprehensible. That is the best word I can use to describe this apartment and its management. Two weeks after signing our new lease (but before it actually went into effect), my mother passed away suddenly. Due to family matters, my husband and I needed to move. They are charging us FOUR months rent in order to move out (and we have to keep utilities). I understand we signed a contract, but absolutely no flexibility due to unforeseen circumstances? I'm sorry I didn't anticipate my mom dying. Now, during a pandemic, I have to find a way to pay rent (which has gone up an insane amount each year) and a mortgage. Thanks, Fox Hunt! Personal issues aside, this apartment complex is the worst I've ever lived at. Management is impossible to get a hold of, and even when you talk to someone, they have no idea what they're doing. When we first moved in, they had to revise our documents three times because they kept messing it up. Maintenance is awful. Our shower hasn't worked properly in months. They have "fixed" it at least three times. The maintenance guy told us there wasn't anything he could do because they only give him cheap parts to fix things. The apartment grounds are disgusting. Trash everywhere that is never picked up. The interior and exterior of the buildings are in disrepair (don't rely on the pictures they have online). Listen to the other reviews here. Literally the ONLY good thing I can say about this place is that the rooms are large. Do yourself a favor and don't move here. You will regret it. Maybe not at first, but you will. They are rude, uncaring, and money hungry. There are better apartments out there.
It will not matter how well maintained and/or clean you leave your apartment this management will find a way to charge you extra and keep your deposit. I wanted to take them to court because I HAVE photos to support my evidence but poor health prevented me from following thru so the best I can do is warn others
Pool is broken, laundromat is terrible, and windows are old so it’s a fortune to heat in the winter.
Fox Hunt Apartments are actually a pretty decent place to live. Lived here for almost a year, have never had any major problems with management or maintenance staff. Ashley is always amazing in the rental office. there are a few things I do have a problem with. we live in a two bedroom one and a half bath townhome. the windows are outdated, so in the summertime it stays cool downstairs with the air on but the upstairs bedrooms are always a little too warm. but it really doesn't affect the DP&L bill. they have been updating some of the patio doors and windows but it is going at a slow pace. a few other problems are that our neighbors are very loud on one side of us, and the other side chain smoke like crazy. also people do not know how to park. we have an empty back parking lot but we do not have a lock and key for our patio door. have to pay to get one. all in all it's a pretty good place, not signing another year though because our rent will go up. in my honest opinion if I'm going to sign for a whole another year my rent should go down.
Our townhouse is junk. It would be fine if our issues were properly taken care of, but nothing is fixed correctly. Also, our yearly inspection consisted of maintenance handing us an air filter and not even coming into our place to make sure our fire alarms were working properly. With two young kids, this is pretty upsetting. DON'T MOVE HERE.
I have lived at Fox Hunt for two years. I have been very happy here. I've had very little issues with anything; except for heating/air. I had a leak in the air conditioner the first summer I lived here and then again this past summer (2015). The first year the ladies in the office were EXTREMELY helpful with trying to find the source to the problem, from calling their personal electrician to suggesting things to try. They would always call me the same day I had a work order done to make sure it was taken care of and if it was completed well. I also had problems with my electric bill, which they also helped me figure out to the best of their ability why it was so high. THIS summer, however, the office system went through some changes in how they process things, collect maintenance orders and follow through with residents. I notified them about my leak, they did what they could, but it was not taken care of in a timely manner, nor was it taken care of to the full extent. A week or so later the leak came back, and had two additional leaks near by. They finally fixed it, but the air still couldn't catch up to the set temperature I had it at. It's always been hot in the summer. The office staff also said they would call back within the next couple weeks to make sure all went well and to see if I had any questions about/problems with it. I requested paperwork on all maintenance work from the maintenance staff three or four times, but only received half of what I asked for. I have been dissatisfied with the new office system changes. I feel they haven't improved anything.
I have been living at the Fox Hunt Apartments for several years now. I was a previous resident. I was there for several years, I moved for a place with a somewhat bigger floor plan, but in the end, I came back home as the value was really amazing and the staff is always warm and welcoming and always ready to assist in anyway they can!! I love living in a quiet community that allows me to also keep my son in a highly rated educational school system with the Kettering City Schools!! If I had to place one draw back on the apartment, it would be that the dishwashers are very outdated and could use upgrading...but maintenance is top notch as well as the overall customer service!! I am glad to be living there!!
I'm in love with my apartment complex! We have an amazing office staff. They are so attentive to everything we need and they are always eager to help out! The maintenance staff is very quick and thorough with anything I've ever needed fixed. I really appreciate all of the hard work that the staff members put in to making our apartments some of the absolute best in Kettering, OH!
Foxhunt Apartments are perfectly located. It is situated right across from Kroger, making grocery shopping a quick trip. Many restaurants, parks, and shops are a short car ride away. The pool is wonderful during hot summer days. Foxhunt has laundry rooms on site that are much cheaper to use than other laundromats in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful. They keep the grounds maintained and are always available to help fix a maintenance problem. It's a great place for the cost, an especially important factor for me and the other young college students living in the complex.
