Property Ratings at Fox Ridge
The only reason I had to leave was because I received a job offer in another area of the state. I loved my apartment. It was private, I felt safe, and was surrounded by trees. My favorite place I have lived in so far in Colorado. All the staff are very nice, along with my neighbors. It is located close to a lot of hiking, area stores, and easy highway access. Highly recommend this property.
As a tenant, this seemed to be a great place to live for my fiancee. When you move out on the other hand, it's a nightmare. Their lease break ends up costing more than rent, if you choose to pay them to try to fill the apartment "to save you money." The apartment complex did not even market the apartment as available until his original lease was up, ensuring his paying the extra fee was useless. Luckily we thought we were done with it in May 2017. There was a mixup with our wedding registry recently, so 3 gifts were mailed to the old address. My fiancee went to pick the first package up and they had no problem locating it. We got a delivery notification later that day that another had been delivered; we called them immediately and they confirmed they had set his package aside, available for pickup at any time. When he went to pick that one up and the third, they said they couldn't find it. After 4 visits and unanswered emails including the exact delivery info, we went back one last time. Today we were told that they were not liable for packages, even though they signed for them (which implies release of liability from UPS). I brought this point up and the fact that we now will miss thanking the people who sent us gifts as we are now in the dark on 2 of them, their response "we did get your emails, and I'm sorry but they are lost." They couldn't even bother responding to an email! I would hope anyone considering renting here would re-evaluate, there are nicer places in Longmont with cheaper rates, that may actually care about your property. Maybe if they miraculously find our packages, I'll remove this review; hoping that someone cares enough at the complex to contact us!
Fox Ridge Apartments is gated community in Longmont. My positives about this community are: - Dog friendly with lots of open spaces to walk and pick up stations - Quiet community with few noise issues - Gated community - Office is open 7 days a week - Online bill payment available However, the negatives all center around management and maintenance. The first apartment they tried to get us into had water damage and a dead bird on the porch when we toured. Not even kidding. We declined and chose a different apartment. When we moved in there was damage on all of the door knobs in the house. It looked as if someone had taken a screwdriver or butter knife to the knobs in some frantic attempt to open them. The vents in the living room were duct taped shut by the previous tenants with no attempt to clean or replace them. The bathroom sink faucet was installed incorrectly, resulting in it spraying water all over the counter any time it was used. They corrected some of these issues, the sink and the doorknobs mostly, but how do you miss such obvious issues? Then, a very short time after moving in, the dishwasher stops draining at the end of the cycle. I got into the dishwasher, removed the screen, and cleaned it like maintenance instructed me to do. It still wouldn't drain. I put in a ticket and waited two weeks. Nobody came. I scooped the water out with a measuring cup, cleaned the inside of the washer, and fixed it again myself. I was tired of waiting and doing dishes by hand. It breaks again, nobody comes for two weeks so I fix it again. It breaks a third time, I wait another two weeks to be given the run around. I'm tired of doing dishes by hand about 5 months into this lease, so I call the office asking to speak with the manager, Lisa. Sadie answers the phone and informs me that Lisa is on vacation and will call me back next week (that week has come and gone). I try to discuss this with Sadie and tell her I'm dissatisfied that they never call before coming. I work from home entirely and I cannot be interrupted when I'm busy. Sadie informs me that no, she won't schedule a window with maintenance. I tell her I want Lisa to call me. She says "Well, Lisa can call you but she'll tell you the exact same thing!" with an attitude. This is unacceptable. This place has shady staff with bad attitudes, is highly overpriced, and I would NEVER recommend moving here. They have vacancies for a reason.
Would consider looking else where for an apartment. Although this is a nice place, it takes a week to get your mail, cause the post office says it is such a big complex, the appliances in the kitchen need to be updated. My frig went out and they just patched it up. So old needs a new one. The garbage disposals are rusty and the apartments are small. I had my vehicle broken into one night and they were not the least bit concerned about the vandalism in the complex. The office staff is not friendly. If you need something fixed they charge you for it. Nope, I would let this be my last resort for an apartment.
I have everything a dog could ask for; a nice fireplace in the living room to snooze in front of and lots of windows to see what is happening outside. I love walking in the grass around my building, meeting my four legged friends and their guardians. Sometimes I sit outside on my balcony on summer evenings. I am so glad that my bedroom is nice and big; there is even room in there for my guardian's queen sized bed. Having a washer and dryer is really handy when my bed cover needs to be washed. I give this place 5 paws!
Great place. Recommend for everyone. Perfect location and great staff.
Our family moved to Longmont 5 years ago and moved from one apartment complex to the next because of noise, horrible neighbors, or just plain bad service. Two years back we moved to Fox Ridge and wish we had made that choice to begin with. The apartments are clean and for the most part well maintained. I also feel safe letting my kids outside to play which is very important to me. I know you can find cheaper places to rent in Longmont, but I would highly recommend choosing Fox Ridge it's worth the extra money.
I used to live in this apartment complex. The apartments are small with very little storage...I had to store most of my things in my rented garage. The kitchens are very small (one one person can comfortably cook at a time) and the appliances are less than desirable. I know, most kitchen appliances are basic in apartments but these are bottom level basic. The bedrooms are good sized and comfortable. I found the office staff to be snooty and rude if I could find anyone to help me at all. Parking is extremely tight! There are not enough parking spaces for the number of people living there. I had to fight everyday just to find a parking space even remotely close to my building. I can't tell you how troublesome this was with a newborn baby and a car full of groceries! Keep looking. There are lots of apartments in Longmont.
