Located in Gaston County – northwest of Downtown Charlotte – the city of Mount Holly is just as charming as it is beautiful. Miles of trails wind along the banks of the Catawba River, so there’s never a dull view.
The area that is now Mount Holly was first issued land grant by King George II in the mid-1700s. With a fast-growing community, you’ll see an abundance of cafes, family-owned bakeries, and vintage clothing shops (especially on the intersection of North Main Street and East Charlotte Avenue). Residents peruse down these thoroughfares daily, popping by Catawba Coffee Company for their delicious fresh brew.
Textile plays a huge part in Mount Holly’s economy. The city is a close-knit community just a short distance from Charlotte attractions – and it has a top-notch school system. From their apartments, residents have direct access to Interstate 85, Belmont Abbey College, and the airport.

Property Ratings at Frost Garden Townhomes
If you rent here then don’t except to get service done when something happens. Had a leak that ran into the ceiling downstairs. 2 years later it was still never fixed or looked into! Landlord will enter premises without permission or any warning. All she will do is complain about her water bill but the plumbing she won’t fix. You can’t have visitors without her permission. Main priority for her is marking parking spaces. For the price I suggest finding another place to rent.
Beware!! Very old apartments but decent enough to live while waiting on better. The landlord is from New York and very crazy. She harasses your visitors. She checks your apartment several times a monthly for water leaks then tells you about the things that she feel is unacceptable even though you're paying over $900 for rent. Have you ever heard of a micromanager well she is definitely a micro landlady. Stay at your own risk!
