Property Ratings at Fuse
We recently moved out after 8 years at Fuse. The general attitude of the other residents have become more entitled and rude over our time there. People leave trash and personal belongings in the hallways 24/7. The tipping point was new upstairs neighbors that constantly made pounding, banging noises (and I mean ALL day). We could actually feel the vibrations! They said it was their child, but there were definitely adult footsteps in the mix. I have never experienced anything like this at Fuse or any other apartment in which I have lived. We spoke to the management on three separate occasions, and nothing changed. Rug requirements may help with this type of situation in the future. Nothing is done to stop the spoiled attitude of bad-behaving residents, making living there miserable for good residents. The periodic emails requesting people to stop behaving certain ways does nothing if there are never consequences.

We take all resident concerns seriously, and we’re sorry to hear that our responses didn’t lead to the improvements you were hoping for. We appreciate your loyalty over the past eight years and regret that your experience did not meet the standards we aim for. We wish you the best in your future home. Best, Fuse Staff
Love it here and Mike was great to work with and building is super nice!
Having lived here now for over a year, here are the pros and cons (TLDR: more cons): Pros (1) Staff are friendly. (2) Appliances are nice. Apartment feels up-to-date and nothing breaks consistently. (3) The nature reserve behind the building is the BEST. (4) Fairly quiet -- I've never had a noise complaint. (5) Gym is nice. Cons (1) No package system. They have lockers, but they are not used consistently. You need to check one of five places around the lobby any time you might have a package. The staff have no responsibility over the packages, so they won't even tell you if something arrives. (And have no way to help you if something goes missing.) (2) No place for food deliveries. Everything gets put on the floor in the entry way to the lobby. They used to have a table, but moved it to the inside, so you need a key to access it. They've refused (inexplicably) to move the table back. (3) The elevators are SO SLOW. And sometimes they move, but don't reopen their doors--you have to repress the button on your floor for the doors to open. At one point, their certifications were expired for over 6 months, so I don't know if it's a safety issue. (4) The trash chute is often broken. The sorter--the machine advertises as allowing you to pick whether it's recyclable or trash--has been broken the entire time I've lived here and they've made no effort to fix it. (5) There is a lot of trash outside the building that just gets left there until it blows away. Same for vomit / liquid messes. No one cleans the outside area. And since the large trash bins are left open outside, lots of stuff blows out of them into the street and landscaping. (But the inside of the building is very clean and the cleaning staff are wonderful.) (6) Just very expensive. And you get very little ongoing service in that price. You're mostly paying for location. This place fits our needs because we like the nature reserve. But if this building was located anywhere else, I would move.
The location is incredible with the Alewife red line station + minuteman bike path within close walking distance, plus the alewife reservation in your background. The apartments are super functional with nice cupboards + kitchens. And the staff is always super lovely + welcoming + helpful (particularly Sarah at the front desk, and also the maintenance staff). I'll miss living here!

Hi, thank you so much for providing us with feedback on your experience here! Your recommendation means the world to us!
My family started the Fuse lease last August and we really enjoy living here. The people (residents and Fuse team) here are very friendly. The amenities here are all well-designed and well-maintained. I like the sundeck and the pool yard best. Almost every weekend in the summer, we shall bring our baby to the pool. The beautiful Alewife reservation is just next to us. T station is just 5-minute walk from us. As far as I know, the Valet Living Trash Collection is unique among all the luxury apartments in Alewife. In one word, the experience of living here is amazing!

Fuse has by far the nicest backyard in Cambridge! The neighborhood is a dream for anyone who enjoys being outdoors! The apartments are modern and the amenities are top notch! What really makes this place special is the Staff! Gianna is enthusiastic professional and extremely personable! Kayla makes the community what a luxury complex should be!

The management is very rude and not at all accommodative. They were impolite and did not bother about the pandemic. Made my move inconvenient and difficult. I strongly suggest not to live here.
We've lived at Fuse Cambridge for over four years and we absolutely love it. The apartments are beautiful and we've met lots of terrific people over the years. We've especially enjoyed the BBQs and holiday parties, among other events, that the staff have put together...they've really given us a chance to get to know our neighbors. By far, the best "amenity" is having the Alewife Brook Reservation just behind the property. It's a perfect place to go for a run or walk or just sit for a while outside to recharge. Arlington Center and Davis Square are both just a close walk down the several connecting bike trails. And being near the subway station makes commuting pretty easy. Being here for several years, there has been some turn-over in the management staff -- not terribly surprising for a large property, but everyone we've worked with has been top notch. The past year has certainly been a challenge for sure, given the covid-19 pandemic...over the years, we've been so used to popping by the front desk after picking up our mail just to say hello and chat for a bit, but now that's impossible. But Diana and Charlott and the rest of the team have been fantastic. Everyone has been super friendly and have tried to keep some smaller distanced events going. Maintenance has always been on top of things. And Fuse has done a great job with health safety during the pandemic...It's pretty rare that we see someone without a face covering on and the staff is always responsive to concerns about keeping everyone in the community safe. Perhaps the only downside of the building is that the floors tend to transmit some sound to the floor below -- not an uncommon occurrence, really, but if that bothers you, then I'd recommend grabbing an apartment on the top floor (hopefully one with a view of the wetlands out back). That being said, we really like that they have a noise policy in the lease that is enforced and the staff have always been great about addressing any noise concerns. In any case, if you're looking for some new digs that are close to transit, nature, shopping/restaurants, but for a bit less money than living in Kendall or downtown Boston/Seaport, Fuse Cambridge is an excellent bet. Besides a really beautiful property (really looking forward to spending some time next to the pool next summer!!!), it's really the people that make the place, both the staff and our neighbors and all the friends we've met here.

I was at Fuse for a short term stay due to Covid-19 and the Fuse team was a delight to work with. Diana was very flexible, made the move-in process very easy, and was always happy to answer questions. The space is beautiful, as are the apartments. Highly recommend this complex!! Thank you, Fuse!
