Management makes living here nearly impossible. No attempt to provide a safe environment for tenants. Nearly impossible to contact the leasing office by phone. When you go to the leasing office in person, frequently nobody is there, or they don't know how to assist with simple items. I moved out months ago and still haven't received my security deposit despite asking for it daily. I had issues with insects, leaking roof, broken bathtub, and faulty appliances, all of these issues took months to solve. The leaking roof was never solved and water damage made my roof look awful up until the day I moved out. Management never cleans the gym, and is too incompetent to keep the pool open and clean. Avoid this apartment complex at all costs.
I just moved in her December and the new management is so polite and works very fast. They are very attentive and helpful with their residents. I chose a great place to stay!
This place is not what they make it out to seem. The management is horrible. I have had so many complaints and they rarely get addressed. I have sent several emails and I don’t get a response. They have security issues, pests, no A/C in 90 + degree weather. They over charge for things that are non applicable. The gates and entrances are always broken. There have been multiple car break ins and I’ve heard gun shots in the parking deck. Emergency maintenance is not taken care of in a timely manner. I had a water leak for 2 months before they checked it out. I did not receive a mailbox key until 6 months after moving in. Valet trash is rarely picked up. The worst place I have ever lived. Save your money, time and energy. For your safety look elsewhere!

We offer pest control services every Tuesday, and we send reminder emails to ensure our residents can take advantage of this service if needed. We do apologize for any delay with mailbox keys as we experienced delays with the mailbox locks being on backorder. This has since been addressed and have not received any concerns regarding this matter. This has been the worst experience of my life as a renter. Nothing here gets taken care of. Everything is always broken, leaks, pests, mold, no A/C. The gate is always broken so it is not safe. The management does not care at all except for collecting rent and adding random fees.

Every concern brought to the office is never addressed or followed up on. Absolutely non accountability. The only customer service I received here was before I signed my lease after that it’s pretty much pay rent or get these late fees. Staff has changed 3 times in less than 6 months, each new mgr/ crew getting lazier. Maintenance will close your request as completed within 30 minutes of submitting. Valet trash is charged without pick ups on a regular and they threaten you with $175 fees when leaving trash liners out that have not been picked up. Gnats and other pest capitalize on this. Gym is not keep up, pool not maintained and pet waste are all over the property. They charge for visitors parking and enforce booting without assistance even when it’s the residence’s car with proper decals. Apartments are large but not well maintained with cosmetics and ac filters. Gate codes don’t work but once a week to allow visitors or deliveries to enter the property. For the rent charged, a few extra dollars you could movie into a newly luxury apartment across the street! I’ll be there after this lease is up.

This apartment is terrible I have lived in Atlanta for 6 years. This is by far the worst place I have lived in. Solely due to management. Management is super rude. They have started charging for parking for guests. AC is always out and they never make an effort to timely fix it.

Do not move here if you ever want to have friends, significant others, or family visit you. Porter Westside SOLD all of their regular visitor parking to ParkMobile and REMOVED of all the overnight visitor spots. Now visitor parking is over $22 a day (and rising) and it is impossible to have people over anymore because they have nowhere to park during afternoons or weekends. Visitor parking used to be free, and the overnight parking they removed now sits empty for no reason other than greed. They are probably also locked in a contract with ParkMobile for god knows how long so do yourself a favor and DO NOT move here if you value a social life.

I have lived here 4 months and from start to finish of my move in process was and still is awesome. Immediately when I came to tour the community I was greeted so warmly as if I already lived here. The price was right and fit what I wanted in an apartment home. Its clean, upgraded, I've got wood in my kitchen & bathroom with stainless steel appliances. I love the area because West Midtown has so many great people, restaurants, and social life just minutes from the property. At the time that I leased the staff was amazing. They were all very nice and accomodating. Deborah was who I initially worked with & she was knowledgeable and accomodating. Now more recently there is a new guy I think named Matt & he seems to be a great addition to the office. I saw upon leasing my place the reviews and it doesn't match what I've experienced. It's my girlfriend and I. Sometimes she's home alone at night because I work night shift at the hospital. She comes home alone and is home alone a lot of the time. She feels safe and so do I. We even walk to a lot of the nearby restaurants for date night. I don't hear about or see the breaking. Everything is gated & secured. Anything I've needed they've gotten it done. I truly feel people make reviews when angry and upset and always blame. But I know I haven't experienced the things I've seen on these reviews. GET YOUR NEXT APARTMENT HERE. You'll be happy you listened to me. Or just come see for yourself. We're happy here!

When I decided that I was going to move I searched for at least three months to find the place that I would call my home. Gables 820 West is exactly that for me. When I initially toured the community, the leasing agent Grace was amazing and answered every single question and concern that I had. From past experiences with renting I've found that the leasing office will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to sign the lease and then it is chaos while you're living there. This has not been the case at Gables 820 West. The leasing office and maintenance staff are awesome and always follow up to make sure you're satisfied and if you're not they will go out of their way to make sure you are. Just like any apartment there is noise but nothing too bad. Also, the other residents are pretty friendly as well. It has an awesome pool, grilling area, and is a couple of blocks away from Atlantic Station and many nice restaurants. If you're looking for a home in the city you should definitely think about checking out this place, you'll be happy you did!
