Sykesville was even named one of the "Coolest Small Towns in America" by Budget Travel Magazine in 2016 -- and it lives up to its title. Just peruse the downtown shops and restaurants (start your day off with a crepe and coffee at the French Twist) and the community vibe, friendly shop owners, and colorfully-painted buildings will inspire you.

Property Ratings at Gaither Manor Apartments
Gaither Manor is in a country setting, peaceful and quiet, yet only a few minutes drive to downtown Sykesville, Eldersburg, shopping, and restaurants. It is family owned. The owners and staff are easy to work with, kind, and welcoming. In the apt rented, the bedroom was large and living area was open and spacious - both with big windows letting the light shine in. Although the kitchen and bath are a bit small, this apt is a hidden gem worth considering.
Gaither Manor Apartments is simply fantastic! We can’t recommend them highly enough. They provided us with a happy, safe, and clean home for four years. The location is wonderful, with rustic country charm yet easy access to major roads for straightforward commutes to D.C., Baltimore, Frederick, etc. The neighbors were generally friendly and quiet, with no transfer of smells between units. Maintenance was always top-notch, responding quickly and completely to any issues we had – from a burnt-out bulb to a water heater reset. Gaither Manor is truly a community, with family-oriented management. And the price can’t be beat!
I have lived here for 5 years and never had any issues. Maintance responds in a timely manner and they are friendly. The office staff is always helpful and personable.
