Known for beautiful weather and classic Texas charm, Katy attracts residents who want easy access to the city but also want to enjoy the neighborliness of a quiet community. As a small suburban outpost about thirty minutes due west of downtown Houston, it’s a popular area for commuters, with many families choosing to call the area home for its excellent schools and friendly environment.
Though many residents make the daily drive into Houston, Katy has a relatively self-sufficient economy of its own, so professionals may find it preferable to the busier urban business hub. For a city its size, locals benefit from a surprisingly diverse array of museums, live music venues, and other cultural attractions; the retail scene encompasses everything from farmers’ markets and quaint antique shops to the popular Katy Mills shopping mall, attracting shoppers from all across the Houston area.

Property Ratings at The Gallery at Katy
Infested by roaches, Been having issues with the pipes, Room, living room, kitchen and bathroom get flooded every month, they fix it two week later water everywhere, they've changed the carpet 7 times, within a year. Don't lease with them. MOLD through the WALLS and they won't do anything about it.
Professional, caring staff. Love the property. Excellent service.

Enjoy your time at Gallery at Katy, and have a wonderful day!
no hot water since Friday night and no one in the office to tell. Maybe they like taking cold showers but I do not. we should get a rent reduction for this since there is no one to tell.
I have been living in this residential complex since August and what a headache with the Administration and the infrastructure of the apartment. When they showed it to me, they gave me an estimate for a 1 bedroom ground floor apartment that included a washer and dryer, which would arrive around 15 days later as well as the gate controls. I moved a week later, and two months later I continue to wash my clothes in a laundry in the area because "the company in charge" has given them inconsistent answers like the Administration to me. - My apartment has been plagued with flukes since day 1. - The dishwasher was clogged within a month. They came to "repair" it and the next day it was plugged again, so the plumbers cut a hole in the wall to check the pipes. Now there is a leak on the same wall and floor. - It rains and the carpet in the closet gets damp. - The most recent is a puddle of water on both sides (living room and room with carpet) of the air conditioning wall, which they came to check yesterday (or to ask where and why the water came from, rather) and the filter was like if it hadn't been cleaned and changed in years. What's next in the next few months? A sustained regret for having rented at Gallery At Katy, a nuisance for your breach of contract, and a countdown to the day it's over.
Roach infestation. They lost my check for the month of September. They don't know what they are doing. You will get stuck paying late fees.
If anyone is posting good reviews about this complex, it’s probably the staff! These apartments are truly a rip off... nothing luxury about it. Don’t just stop at this one site, do your research!!! First let’s talking about the painted bathtubs... I have a little one and I’m always afraid she’s going to get cancer or something by bathing in the bathtub tub they decided to paint over instead of cleaning. - Then let’s talk about the Roaches... The apartments are roach infested and it’s horrible in the summers. - Please expect to pay way more... They charge you about two or three trash and waste fees. They charge you for trash valet which most don’t use bc of the roaches - something is going on with the water and the pipes. The water is sometimes brown with a weird smell. - they charge for their upkeep. Please pray that nothings goes wrong or they will charge you for it. Management is horrible! And if you have problems with them, plz don’t expect help from corporate esp. not in a-reasonable time frame. Seriously beware of these apartments!!!
Location is perfect, prices are fair and the service is the best. I read others comment but let me tell you there is NOT perfect place but so far my experience is GOOD and I am very SATISFIED.

Isabel, thank you very much for taking the time to let us know how your experience at The Gallery at Katy is going so far! We appreciate you understanding that while no apartment community will ever be perfect, we're doing our best to get as close to it as possible
I was super excited to move into my first apartment with my roommate. The application process seemed to take a long time. Starting off, we were told our unit number and then we were told that at the last minute, the tenant that lived there decided to extend their lease. I was slightly annoyed since I had already scheduled everything to be turned on at that unit. We finally got a new unit and moved in at the beginning of April. Every month since we moved in, our air conditioner has broken. Maintenance takes forever to respond to requests. And if and when they come to your apartment, the issue still doesn't get fixed or is temporarily fixed so you find yourself constantly calling for the same issue. The summer was rough having a barely functioning air conditioner. Now that it is winter, the heater doesn't work. It took them two days to "replace" the unit. It was not fixed. When I called the next day to have someone come look at the heater, I was told that unless it was below 50 degrees (not sure if she meant, inside or out) that no one would be coming to my apartment and I had to wait two more days for someone to come to my apartment, wake me up out of my sleep, TO STILL NOT FIX THE HEATER. Good luck with parking. You have to be home before 6pm to be able to park close to your apartment. It's constantly a line of people waiting to get into the gate (safety concern) and the gate is broken every week. There are roaches in my sink (coming from downstairs) and no matter how much you spray, they never go away. Yet I am still getting charged a pest control fee every month. You may or may not get your mail. Kids are always outside at all times of the night screaming. People stare at you in the parking lot. Walls are paper thin. Unless you can seriously deal with all of this , DO NOT MOVE IN!!! I can't wait for my lease to be up so I can get as far away from here as possible.
Good location and good prices, we love it here. The ladies from the office are very efficient, Mucio has been taken care of my maintenance requests for the longest. I recommend this property very much.

I have lived here for about 3 months and love it so far. The office staff (Luis) is amazing to work with. If he tells you something you can believe it is going to get done. My neighbors are friendly, its quiet and I feel safe. The new owners of the property are in the process of updating everything and the inside of my apartment of beautiful! All new appliance's and flooring. I would definitely recommend this place. I am so happy with all the changes!!
I have lived at Fountains for about a year now and cant complain about much. Price for rent is great. I have seen a couple of roaches here and there but that is what happens when you get lazy and don't wash dishes every night ( guilty) ! I wouldn't go as far as saying there's an infestation. My kids love riding their bikes in the sport court and playing on the playground. My son loves playing in the indoor basketball court which is one of the main reason why we rented. My neighbors are very friendly and I feel safe at the community which is hard to find these days. I would recommend my friends and coworkers to live here.
So, I've been at the Fountains at Katy "Luxury" Apartments for almost 2 years now and let me tell you, there is NOTHING luxury about this place. The only reason that I haven't left is because I haven't been able to find anything in the area that's as reasonably priced as they are but you truly get what you pay for. Shortly after moving in (November 2013), I discovered they had a roach infestation in the entire building. Terminex would come out every Friday and spray but that didn't solve the problem so I took it upon myself to buy Raid bait traps and those seemed to help. The complex has also come out and treated the building as a whole after so many complaints, which has seemed to help a little as well. Maintenance is VERY slow to get work done. Took almost 3 weeks to come check on a toilet in my master bathroom. Also had an issue with some mold on the ceiling of the second bathroom and around the bath tub. They cleaned it all from the ceiling but only re-caulked around the tub so it's starting to come back. They've recently changed management but honestly, I can't tell. Can't wait to move
Took a month to take care of the rats in my laundry/storage room. Now there is an opossum in there. Today is Saturday and the office girl says exterminator will be here on Friday! Don't make the same mistake we made!
