Property Ratings at Garden Courtyards
I disagree with the person who wrote the last comment. The staff really goes out of their way to help. They are very forgiving and patient. I have a developmental disability and the manager has been very patient towards me which means more to me than anything. I recommend living here
Pros: They offer rent at a discount to those who need cheaper housing. The bedrooms are a a nice size and the kitchen is open to the living area. The apartment is located by the highway, but not close enough that you can hear it. Kids can attend Union schools. Cons: Bugs are terrible and they only do a minimal spray in the hall even if you empty your cabinets (which is what they tell you to do if you have bugs) and it still does not make a difference. I have lived in multiple apartment complexes and never had an issue with bugs before. The application process takes at least 4-6 weeks and you should plan on making multiple trips to get it complete. The office manager is rude, does not care about her tenants except for a select few. Maintenance is nice, but it does take a while for things to get fixed. The apartments are cheaply constructed so you can hear you neighbors flushing the toilets and taking showers. Be prepared to step in poop because nobody picks up after their animals. Kids are flying through the breezeways, cussing and yelling and there is never a parent in sight. When it comes time to move out be prepared to get little to none of your deposit back and expect it to be at least 2 months before it comes in. We spent 6 and a half hours cleaning and they still charged us 100 dollars for cleaning. (We have always gotten our full deposit back and we are very minimalist people who keep an immaculate house). Major issues: -Fire in the building next to us -Tenants above us flooded our bathroom with a busted washer -Fire with the tenant above us due to careless smoking -Pool was only open a handful of times throughout the entire summer -Not near enough parking
