Property Ratings at Garden Pointe Apartments
Walls are paper thin, floors are too- at any given moment I could hear my neighbors below me, people slamming their doors in the building, and people constantly banging into the walls. Property was flooded whenever it rained. The countertops in my unit were painted with white paint, which was splattered all over the linoleum. They also painted the tub/shower, which obviously began to peel from regular use.

Hello, we are sorry to hear about these issues. We have discussed the issues previously. The issues, to our knowledge, have been fixed. Please email us at leasing@liveatgardenpointe.com. We will look into these right away to resolve them! Best, The Garden Pointe Team
Constant flooding no power slow to fix things. Nasty hallways poor customer service.
Please don’t move here. I have lived here over a year and renewed my lease against my better judgement. They will respond to negative reviews posted online within 24 hours, but will not call back in response to voicemails even after weeks have passed. Over the last year, the electricity and water to the whole building have been frequently shut off for maintenance without advance notification. I work from home and I have randomly had the electricity for the building shut off in the middle of my work day. Once the maintenance men locked themselves out of the breaker room in our building and they accidentally blew a fuse or something trying to bust the door open instead of using a key. Our electricity was out for a few hours several times over the following week because of that. The FedEx hub for this area informed me that their drivers won’t deliver to the entire complex. According to FedEx, our apartment office said it is “not their responsibility to make sure packages can be delivered to us”. When I moved in, the lock for our building was on the door inside of our entry way, and delivery drivers were able to access our doorbells and leave door tags on our mailboxes if we weren’t home. They changed it and put the lock on the outside door to the entryway, and now we can’t get packages delivered anymore. I have to have all of them held for pickup somewhere else, since the office won’t accept packages due to Covid. They could easily fix this by putting the lock on the building door inside the entryway (like it had been before), but they refuse to do it and they never call me back when I leave voicemails for the office about it. Property leasing companies make a lot of money off of our rent. They should be able to afford changing a lock from one door to another - especially when they are the ones that changed it in the first place. I need to be able to have packages delivered to my place of residence, especially during Covid.
The only positive thing about these apartments was that they were affordable. Idk where to begin. The office staff were rude. I had a leak that I reported that didn’t get attention for almost a week. The only thing they did was wipe up the water. That leak turned into my whole bathroom ceiling caving in. It took a few days for someone to come out. My carpet was soaking wet from the bathroom to my bedroom all the way to the living/dining room. Cleaning up that mess took almost a week. My decorative carpets were RUINED and they threw all the wet stuff from my floor on my all white bed! Of course none of my belongings that were damage was replaced. And of course MOLD BECAME PRESENT. I then started to see roaches. THAT IS MY DEAL BREAKER. I complained & all I was told was that they would get someone to come out & do pest control. They tried to make me renew my lease .. I am SO GLAD I didn’t. They also tried to say that I would have to owe them but by the grace of god I got out of there!! Owing nothing. They had switched management right before I left & they knew NOTHING & were also RUDE. Save yourselves the trouble!!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE.
I haven’t lived there, but the whole application process was a BIG MESS. I put a deposit down for a place which I was told would secure that apartment. I call back a week later and they told me that they didn’t have any apartments available. I went back and got my deposit, not even reaching back to my car, hey called me telling me they had some apartments available. They requested additional paperwork and in the midst of me getting my paperwork approved from regional, they leased the apartment she said she had for me! I have been given the run around and now I have nowhere to live!
I have lived here for about 2 years. The apartments they show are the "remodel" ones that are super expensive and totally not worth it. The real ones are in very bad shape the closet doors are so old and rusted they will come off. The toilets are disgusting and super old and they refuse to change them. However I could live with all those but the biggest issue here are Roaches they are everywhere and get everywhere ! I will be moving soon but will have to throw away all my furniture and things because of it ! Totally not worth it RUN!! The ladies in the office are very rude and give you awful looks when you complain!!! The neighbors have a rats problem which is awful as well ! This place needs a serious turn around !
I informed the leasing agent in the office that I wanted to move at the end of the month to avoid essentially paying rent 3 times (my current place, my prorated fee upon move in, as well as rent the following month). I was informed that they'd be willing to work w/ me and since I planned on moving at the end of the month with 5 days left that my prorate would be $50 plus the following month's rent. The process to getting approved was draining. I called everyday and was even asked to bring in my own rental history. Once approved, I brought in a $200 holding fee/security deposit. In doing that, I expected to get my address, or maybe go over the carrying charges and revisit the convo regarding how much money to bring on my move in date, even though the move wouldn't be for another month and a half; however, I did not. In fact, every convo I've had with the office has been me calling, from having to find out after the fact that I'd have to contact Citizen's Energy because there was gas heat and stove, to having to ask for my address. It seemed like once I brought in the $200, I stopped being a priority, though I probably never was one to begin with. Last night I had to call the office AGAIN to ask more questions, and I asked about the prorate. The leasing agent informed me that I was never told that my prorate would be just $50 dollars (even though I signed a paper stating this) She said that she told me it was $50 OFF the prorated fee, which altogether was $132 (for 5 whole days) and that my prorate was $82 plus the rent, which was also $10 more than we discussed. I decided to not go through with the move because at this point, if I'm unhappy with the lack of service and communication and I haven't even moved in yet, I can only imagine what it will be like if I become a resident. If prices can just change without notice, or you tell me one thing, and then later on down the line, I find out it's another, it's bad business. When I informed staff of my decision not to move, the first thing she stated was "Well, the $200 is nonrefundable." As if THAT was the only concern. At this point, I've already claimed the $200 as a lesson instead of a loss... if you are considering moving here, I hope your experience is better than mine has been. And make sure you ask lots of questions because they won't offer you ANY info otherwise!
The perfect apartment located within walking distance to shopping centers, grocery stores, restaurants. Courteous and friendly staff. Clean and quiet environment.Has pool, picnic area, exercise room and activities for the residents every month.Makes me feel like i'm on vacation.
