The neighborhood of North Tampa sits eight miles directly north of downtown Tampa on I-275. North Tampa is roughly two miles southwest of the University of South Florida, roughly a mile from University Mall, two miles northwest of Busch Gardens theme park, and roughly three miles west of Adventure Island water park. With no end to the nearby entertainment, North Tampa residents are also near Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, Rogers Park Golf Course, and Grand Prix Tampa. When you want Florida's white-sand beaches, head roughly 20 miles west to Honeymoon Island State Park and Caladesi Island State Park, where you can enjoy shelling, beachcombing, sunbathing, swimming, fishing, paddle-boarding, and more.
Stop by Jerk Hut Jamaican Grille & Rhum Bar for some curry chicken along with live reggae music. Locals gather at Shells Seafood Restaurant for fresh fish entrees in a casual setting.

Property Ratings at Garden Terrace
I’ve lived here for two years and wouldn’t recommend that anybody live here. The crime is insane (murders, robberies, and shootings). The ACs are absolute garbage. My 2x1 does not get lower than 88 degrees during the summer, and I have a dog. Their “emergency maintenance” is an absolute joke. Your appliances will break after 1-2 uses (if they ever worked in the first place) and maintenance will NOT even return a phone call. The management staff will lie to your face, and they will make mistakes on your lease that YOU will end up paying for. They disguise their “deposits” by calling them “move-in fees” that you will not get back at the end of your lease regardless of how well kept your apartment was/is. Please please please find literally any other place to live than here. I have been nothing but a great tenant and they continue ti treat me and every other resident like garbage.
Elon Management will nickel and dime you to death. The charge fees for everything. Unlike most apartment complexes, Sewer and Garbage are not included in the rent, increasing anytime during the year(Avg $62/mo). If you do not have renter's insurance, they also charge a fee that doesn't provide the tenant with any protection ( $14/mo). They started this past year charging a fee to "help" with your credit that only applies if you pay the rent early($5). It means people living on a limited income or paying through Section 8 at the first of the month receive NO benefit. A lockout on weekends can mean you are charged $78 to regain access to your apartment.
Worst place ever!! I’ve never seen anything like these apartments right here. Let’s start off by saying they LOVE to trick people cause the minute i went to complain about something, it was no smiles. Office workers think everything is a joke and do not take you serious. The 3 maintenance guys are a complete joke too. How do you argue back & fourth & then say “I think if you connect that wire to that switch it should work. But be careful because you can blow the circuit”. I should have known this was a no good place the minute I signed a paper for not only bed bugs but for mold. Now let’s talk about the inside. First day moving in, 3 fabulous roaches greeted me and welcomed me into the house. Hallway light switch immediately blew when I TRIED to turn it on, laundry room floor was SO WEAK my washer & dryers immediately sunk it and had to stay in the position they were placed in. The bathroom floor had so much water damage that is was beyond weak. I think another month of stepping on it & it would have caved in. I also got bronchitis & a lung infection only living there for 3 weeks. You can hear everyone in the building. I can hear when someone goes to the neighbors house, I hear when they take a shower, when they open their door, I hear when they talk. You may say “for the price it doesn’t look that bad”. PLEASE READ WHAT I’M SAYING & DONT MOVE HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH. You can feel the mold in the house when you breathe. This place needs to be condemned. And neighbors told me worse about their apartment & let me remind y’all, mine was the “upgraded” apartment. I hope this helps & saves someone from wasting money & their time like me.
These photo's are misleading..the grounds are terrible! uneven side walks hazardous..parking lot floods with rain .needs an inspection..
I lived here for 1 and a half years. While I always had a leaky roof and mold issues that was the least of my worries. Constantly their was cops and CSI and/ or forensic units outside my home. Drugs sold by neighbors and the office turns the other way. I had outrageous gas bills cause it took 2 months before they "bandaid" my leaky pipes. I unfortunately had to terminate my lease early and was kicked with fees and utility fees galore! And 50.00 for an off track drawer. In all they do not care for any resident and always looking to make money off hard working residents.
Quite nice place to live feel safe management very nice. Clean grounds. Clean laundry
