Property Ratings at Garden Village Apartments
1. When I was moving into my parking I parked my car in the back as I was going in and out of the moving truck when I came out my personal vehicle was towed and had to drive to Hayward in Traffic and pay $533 plus additional charge if I went the next day, I called the apartment Mng, “there’s nothing we can do” ?!!!!!!!! 2. I started parking my car on the street parking as I have 2 vehicles- I received ticket for $75, to my SURPRISE when am ready to leave for work my car has been BROKEN into TWICE (2) both times I have payed $315 for each window. Plus had to throw away my babies car seats as they were filled with glass. (Nothing was taken out of my car, just broken window each time)I contacted Management to pay additional for an extra parking spot as I explained the situation, I’ve been on their waiting list for 7 months now. 3. LOUD neighbors upstairs! 3am we are woken up by headboard noise and old mattress springs, extra curricular activities happening at that time, now I only have 2 hours before I go to work, while I HEAR EVERYTHING! thin walls! Upstairs couple screaming at their child, weights been thrown on the floor, jumping. 4. Roaches roaches! We did NOT stop complaining until they solved this problem, I don’t care if they’re tiny, cleanliness and safety is my family’s priority. 5. Washers are always out of order! PLEASE keep up with their maintenance and do your property walk, you will notice washers keep adding up to the out of order list! 6. When you sign your contract it states a “quiet” by the apartment contractors (landscaping noise, etc) NOT valid! It’s 7am (off day, trying to sleep) and I hear the blowers, painters with their loud music, again thin walls and windows. I can hear full conversations going on inside laundry room when am inside my apartment. 7. I was overpaying my monthly rent as stated a different amount on my contract until I found out and they NEVER said anything about keeping the extra money. It’s upsetting to have two DISHONEST Managers running this apartment complex. 8. HOW MANY TIMES do we have to have the water SHUTOFF a MONTH?! It’s always a PLUMBING issue, at least once a month on Monday’s the apartments are working on plumbing, every month?! This is NOT okay! Monday’s 8a-4pm NO water.
I feel like garden villa apartment are great apartments and is a very nice environment, very peaceful and friendly neighbors!
If I could give it negative stars I would! I lived here for 7 months and wish I never had. The property manager is very dishonest. I could never get a straight answer on anything and all of my requests were ignored. After I moved out, they kept my $700 deposit and then also charged me $900 to repaint it when there was no damage. They are well within the legal right to repaint if they want but I was provided no itemized receipt of any work that was done or claimed to be done after I moved out. I refused to pay of course and they turned it over to collections. My credit used to be over 800 and is now damaged. These people are so greedy and sketchy I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Pathetic Place. The leasing office ladies are extremely rude. It has been a nightmare for me. They trap people by posting low rates and once you sign the lease then they get money out of you through various tricks.
They raise rent on you by 300-700(depending on how long you sign a new lease for) after less than a year and then offer a lower price online and refuse to give you the listed price. Parking is also terrible, many people have to park in the street in front of complex but you get a ticket for parking on street.
This is very true and wanted to make people understand how much I suffered by leasing a 2 bed room house in this community 1. Rating I would give in Negative( -- 10 out of 10) NEVER EVER RENT ANY HOUSE IN Garden Village Apartments. my story is very bad i assume every one who stay there will suffer also those who planned to rent. 2. when i moved in they gave me special price only for 6months lease thought good deal but after 6 months they increased 28% rent and management is very bad they way treat you is real Bad 3. No AC no Heater nothing will work and it will be very hot u cant stay in that house reason why i moved out) when i move out they charged me 1000 $ for cleaning and painting. they don care when i asked. i stayed only 6 months and paid deposit of 705 now i moved out and gave the apartment very clean still charged 992 so i end up paying 300 extra from my pocket already lost Deposit 705 $ I am sure they never painted again but charged me 650 alone for painting. 4. Parking is very bad they don have even one open parking i have suffered very first day when i moved in i had my own car and rental car and i parked my rental car near to the parking and was unloading things with in 10 min gap some one towed my car inside the apartment community and I end up paying 475 $ for no reason when i asked the community management they said cant help. what ever u ask they say we cant help Blah Blah Blah they never care about resident. when ever u call for leasing office one assistant lady will speak she will ask your name and number and she is indecisive she will say the same answer will check with manager and get back to you but no use. please i request any one who read this review its very true and real pain i had , Never move in to this community
The apartment is nice, though basic. There is a dishwasher and disposal as well as an ample size pantry. There is no AC, but the ceiling fan in the dining room and the patio door circulate air well through the main part of the apartment. Maintenance has been prompt to fix any requests that we have, and the outdoors of the property are maintained well.
This place is quiet and clean. Close to an elementary school.. Maintenance fixed our broken stuffs real time.
