1. Police always here. 2. NO FITNESS CENTER , its a closed room broken Equipment 3. NO CLUB HOUSE, the office they work in. Tenants can not use it !!! jus lies 4.NO VOLLYBALL COURT, a tennis court with no net 5.Good luck on getting work orders done in timely fashion 6. The office employees act like they hate their jobs. no smiles, no welcomes they make you feel like your bothering them. They act like they truly no not care. Is it an act?? 7. The old Mgmt use to clean hallways once a month. this new one Weller does not. Contractors do work and leave a horrible mess in the hallways. 8. Most tenant do not pick up after their dogs , walk on the grass at your own risk. they allow breeds that are dangerous. PPL lie a bout the type of dogs they have. Mamt should ask to see the dogs!!! 9. 24 Hour Availability **** to what??? 10. Mgmt and Maint on site during business hours only! 11. Most of the pictures are incredibly OLD and are of the office/ club house that doesn't exist. Most apartments do not look like what they are showing. switch and bait!

I haven't even been here a year yet and the management team is already switching over. The walls are super thin. You can hear everybody in your apartment building and they can hear you. The neighbors complain about everything and no one picks up after their pets.
This place has an roach infestation. The building are old and outdated. They try to make it look modern but it falls short. People here also let their pets roam free. Do yourself a favor and look else where.
This apartment complex sucks and the maintenance is even worse. Noone cares about you or your families wellbeing. I have had several leaks in my apartment and have ask several time for testing for black mold and have been told that if contractors fill its necessary they would other wise they would not test.
After being a resident here of almost 2 years, the leasing office is now operating with some sort of structure! Thank god! Before them, I’ve seen two Sweep out of supervisors, suffice it to say, they’ve improved with how they’re operating things now! They always answer the phone, they’re respectful and although they did forget to send me an important notice, they rectified it. Since the pandemic hit, maintenance was instructed to fix important issues only (Example: leaks, broken refrigerator or mold growing from a leak etc). At this time, they went from maybe 4 maintenance people to 1.. and then he left. So it went from decent response times to two month late responses. I’m unsure if they’ve improved since the new office people came, I haven't needed maintenance. Now Pests are another issue! These god forbidden roaches! When it’s cold out? Oh forget about it, you’re sharing your apartment with them okay?! $2 a month for Pest control where the old supervisor failed to mention that I have to sign a list to receive pest control or else I won’t.. even tho they’re still u for charging it. It’s the principle not the price! But I eventually put my name on this list and they came 2 times from move-in until this very day. Pest control knocked on my door to give services with the new people in office.. see the difference? They do their job! The neighborhood kids are cool, but there’s always that one family who’s kids are unruly.. gates at Summerville has that one family! Watch out for dog poop on the grass. Can’t speak on the conditions of the building because I’m in an apartment connected to the building so I dont Have to enter the building, I have my own entrance. Oh! And mold grows on things in the least ventilated areas of the apartment! So get an air purifier or 3 (could also just be my apartment). I’ve had mold grow inside of my dresser, Under my mattress, on clothes in my dresser & closet, shoes & my tv, *scratches head* didn’t even know it was possible ! But anything is possible at gates at Summerville, so gamble away..... This was my experience, yours might be better

The neighbors are quiet they don't bother us at all. There's no trouble in the neighborhood. So far as living on the property is not a problem. It's just a complications I have inside of my apartment with certain things.

The people who work in the office were rude and downright mean to my father when he went by to simply ask them a question. So much for southern hospitality. The pool is closed more than it's open. The laundry is now closed as well. I really don't know what I'm paying for!
I was very impressed with property management and the communication of the rental process and there diligence. Taisha was very helpful and followed up with me in passing one day at the pool. She remembered that I had two children and asked witch two were mine while they were swimming. That made me feel welcome.
Lousy, slow, not worth it in my opinion as soon as I can leave I'm gone!
Been here a month so far, the office ladies are very nice and helpful. Maintenance came within a few days of my email and fixed the few minor issues I had.
The staff is friendly.
We like the staff and the pool is very nice when we can use it.
Terrible apartment complex. Would not recommend to anyone. Our door was kicked in during a robbery. The complex took over 3 weeks to fix it, during which they didn't do anything to cover it up or seal it in any way. I was left to do whatever I could by my own means. During this time this time I have to call the office at least five separate times to check if they were ever planning on fixing my door. Every time I caught they sent a maintenance man to get measurements. Again. Even after all these measurements were taken I still ended up with a door that doesn't fit and has gaps wide enough to let in daylight and all the heat that comes with it. Shoot, I've even seen a beetle crawl through these gaps no problem. Terrible complex and terrible management.
The office staff is very nice and sweet but maintenance is poor, they never come.
We have lived in the Gates at summerville only a few months but it seems okay so far, and it is close to our work and shopping.
Over all this apartment isnt that bad. The crime isnt all that great, the apartments are bigger than most. Managment I've never had a problem with.
The Gates at Summerville is a good community to live in have no problems and very good Management Services.
Personnel at the office, is easy to talk to and helpful
I have never lived in apartments before moving here and I never thought I would or that I would ever get used to living in apartments but I must say that for my first experience you guys have made it very comfortable and pleasant here so much so that I have actually slowed my pursuit of buying a home thank you for that and keep up the good work
We are enjoying our home here and look forward to continued improvements within the complex. We love the office and maintenance staff and appreciate all they do!
We are truly enjoying our new apartment here at The Gates at Summerville! The leasing manager, Krystal has been great throughout the process of our relocation from Indiana to Summerville, Jessica in the office and the maintenance staff, especially Rachel have been awesome to work with!
The new management is amazing. Every issue that I have had they have been on top of it with great response AND fix time. Im very impressed and satisfied. Keep up the good work guys. Now Im actually thinking about renewing my lease lol, before it wasnt an option.
The Gates at Summerville is a nice Community to live.
Clean and comforting. You seen lots of kids playing outside after school. Very sweet Manager. A great place for a starting family.
First of all, the rent is too high for the looks and living in this apartment complex. The wrong they have done is show you a demo apartment than the apartment you supposed to move in. That is false advertisement. There’s pest problem in these apartments. The office doesn’t answer their phone. I called so many times and left so many messages. Never get a call back or responded. That’s poor customer service. There’s no activities to do in this complex. It’s just a bore. You are paying for nothing. When I moved in October 2018; the apartment was disgusting and disappointing. I am not staying here. I’m leaving this place it’s a waste. The bathrooms are disgusting room of all. You can see that they paint everything to look like it’s new yeah right for being new. The shower walls has molds and I deep clean these bathroom every day due to the fact I have children and it’s unhealthy for them. I just cannot wait til I leave here. Don’t move in this apartment complex is not worth your time and money. Overall, the maintenance team are really good and friendly.

I'm ashamed to say that I have lived here for over 8 years and this place is the worse. My apartment is completely outdated. I have no window screens (even asking multiple time, I just continue to get excuses and lies). My master bedroom ceiling had brown spots which indicates that the roof needs to be repaired but they continue to give me the run around about that. They would rather spray the ceiling and over it up. They do nothing about the crime that occurs here. Just on the news.the police has been called to the complex over 600 times since 2018. I haven't seen the pool open for a year now (maybe more, but they have an excuse for that as well. I have an emergency with one of my toilets The office told me that since I have another bathroom, that is wasnt an emergency and use the working toilet, in addition, they would put in a work order and they would get to it as soon as they can. They dont fix anything they just place a bandaid over the problem.This place is a dump... needs alot of work. This is not a safe place for anybody.

This is a good apartment that has some of the best people working here. My experiencee here has been pretty great. Things are still being worked on here but they told us thatffrom the beginning as they started..

My friend moved into this complex and I came to visit and oh boy it was not a very pleasant place to be. First week we had no ac in the middle of summer. Windows are DEFINITELY original to the building. Whoever they hire to paint, trim work, and other things like that needs fired. Walls are PAPER thin. I can hear full conversations and music ALL the time. I visited a second time in February and someone was MURDERED within the complex. Even though cops live within the complex. I get they can’t stop that but there is not one, but TWO schools that are next tot he complex. Not safe for children!! Way over priced! Whatever unit they show in the pictures is not what you’re going to get in your unit. Do not waste your time or money unless you have no choice. Also their billing and rent rates are COMPLETE wack and make no since at all!! How is a 9 month lease cheaper than a 12 month lease but more expensive than a month by month or 3 month lease. How and why? Oh also every year your rent rate will go up 5%-10%. My friend found that out when they wanted to renew the lease.

Grounds need to be cleaned up more .
I moved in because they had great specials, I've been here 4 months now and it's always one problem to the next. I still have no outlet covers or switch plates, no smoke detectors, roaches here and there and my dishwasher hasn't worked since I moved in. It's full of nasty smelly water with plenty of bacteria inside it. The maintenance man is fantastic, it's the office that poorly plans repairs. They don't get the orders to maintenance. Please don't move here it's honestly terrible. I was promised the pool would be done in July so I signed the lease, it's October and it's just now getting ripped apart. Not sure what I'm paying for. The air barely works plus all the other things I've already mentioned. Prepare yourself for very expensive electric bills due to poorly operating air conditioners, old windows and poor insulation.
This property has gone from bad to worse since Bell Partners has taken over. Maintenance does not fix any issues, the pool on the property is full of green sludge and has been closed since last season. The hallways of the building are filthy and renovations have not been completed. They lie and deceive potential renters until they get you to sign a contract and then it’s to late. The office barely answers the phone and when they do no one is helpful. New staff every 4 weeks and no one knows anything about the old staff. No consistency or continuity. Smh don’t move here!!!

If you are thinking about moving here, this is the worst decision you can make. This place is full of criminals when you are supposed to pay for a background check. The facilities and the apartments are in bad conditions. The rent is very expensive for these apartments in bad conditions. The pool is a pond of ducks and frogs. Bell Partners is the worst company that has come to administer here. The secretaries are liars and always have different excuses. The manager never attends to residents. All residents pay for a pest control service and it never comes. I definitely do not recommend it.

No repairs are made and my apartment is full of mold. I have reported leaks for the past month and still no repairs. I have a kid with mold allergies who have constantly been complaining of headaches since this problem started. They do not care about people who pay their rent on time.

The positive reviews have to be an lie. I had to break my lease because how bad things was. My account did not work in my unit in the bedrooms and all I was told was, "the buildings are old they won't work in bedrooms". I had to buy a window unit which cost my light bill to be over $400 a month. People hanging outside the buildings all day. I don't smoke but all you could smell was marijuana. Staff was rude and did not help. Even with me moving out it was a Hassel. There was no staff that would do my walk out review with me and it took them 3weeks just to do my walk out after I moved out. If you have no other options live here. Don't believe the pictures and hype because once you move here you will hate it. I can say I did not have any roaches but I did have mold. This is an current review. I just moved out 12/31/17.
People loitering outside of buildings and inside on the steps. Weed smoke fills up buildings and seeps into your apt. Front building doors are always open even into the late hours of night which isnt safe. Drug deals are always going down at my building but my friends building N has it worst for everything above that i wrote. Someone got killed over a drug deal gone bad which makes me fear the inevitable. Nothing has been done by management at all! You can pay better elsewhere!
I've lived here fpr 2 years now. The first year was fine. Management had everything under control. My second year living here has been a complete nightmare. Management has since changed twice with no good outcome. People are always loitering outside of the buildings. Cops patrol the area frequently but dont do anything about people hanging outside in front of the buildings. The buildings have roaches and bed bugs. Trash is littered around the property. My advice is to look elsewhere.
