Property Ratings at Sonoran Reserve
do not live here, management is rude and unhelpful
I haven’t been here long and I’m already regretting my decision to live here. From the start of the process up until now, it’s been nothing but smoke and mirrors. Their webpage is completely misleading. Bad representation, such as, their isn’t a SPA or tanning as mentioned on their site. Additional problems, to include, non attentive customer service. Etc. There is a lot more to the story here but without getting into it, I’ll just tell you, read the other reviews. They are right on point.
Terrible place to live, bad customer service, hypocritical office staff at first make you see that they are going to help you but it is not like that, they only care about their property and their investment but they do not care about your well-being, the inconvenience they cause with the Construction and it's hard to feel at home here because they are always bothering you
Gateway Apartments is a great place to live! It’s not too far from shopping centers and major highways which is a great plus. What sold me to this place is not just the style of the apartments, but the office staff as well. Vera was extremely pleasant and helpful. She was always quick to respond with any questions I had, and made sure my requests were addressed in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this community to anyone looking to rent in the Gaithersburg area. Ask for Vera!
The matainence team is a joke. They don’t empty any of the trash cans around the property, so it blows around on the porch. They say they’ll be at your apartment one day, but you won’t hear from them unless you pester. I don’t know if it’s managment or a lack of supervision, but the maintenance crew is just atrocious. Please fix this.
Gateway was a terrible place to live. I’m a student and I was glad I finally found somewhere so cheap. But it sure shows. The staff is probably under paid which I would hope explains why they were so rude. Can’t even find someone in the office most days of the week. 3 hour long lunches don’t make good customer service. The appliances were awful and can’t get maintenance unless you annoy them to death. Plus it’s not a great place to live, as my friend who was a roommate had his vehicle stolen on the premises, which is a scary thought because you need a code to get in. All in all, place was a terrible place to live while a student. Next semester I will go with something more expensive and hope it’s not as bad. Buyer beware.
Property Manager at Sonoran Reserve, Responded To This Review
Thank you for sharing your feedback on your experience while living at Gateway at Tucson, Our main goal being to ensure we deliver exceptional customer service to our residents while providing value in more ways than just competitive pricing on rent. Your comments are crucial in this process, and encourage you to come to speak with the manager so we may resolve any outstanding issues. We certainly don’t want to lose you as a resident, and resolving any issues is of upmost importance to us. Thank you in advance- Management
Very rude management. Especially the head manager.
While the front office may be good at making you want to live here, after you've signed your lease they couldn't care less about you. Everyone I know here has had nothing but problems from the moment they moved in. From poor management to problems with maintenance and apartments being broken into, you'd be better off living anywhere else. For starters, never take the managements word about anything. Unless you get something in writing from the manager you can expect them to do whatever makes them the most money. I originally wrote a long review listing all of the specific problems but this cite has a word limit. Basically everyone I know that lives here regrets ever signing their leases.
I have lived here for several years, hoping new management would effectively make improvements. They have not succeeded. To keep this short, here is why you should NOT live at Gateway at Tucson: 1. The shuttle to UA does not run most of the time; yet, prior to signing the lease, the staff boasted about its reliability. 2. When paying the electric bill, Gateway uses a third-party that takes a fee from you. On top of that, Gateway will take an extra 'administration fee'. 3. Maintenance does not communicate effectively. They did not even have keys to my apartment! Also, they will only provided short-term fixes. 4. Office staff are conceded/rude and have no respect for existing residents. They care only for new potential residents/victims. I have only listed a few of the reasons why one should not live here. If you do not trust my review, read the other reviews elsewhere. Keep in mind, the staff themselves are most likely the ones writing the occasional positive reviews.
It was very simple/fast to get a lease with the extremely friendly help. I love the location of the appartments and I would defiantly recommend this place to every upcoming students!
