Unfortunately my refrigerator broke app. 30 minutes after closing. I tried to lower the switch, but it was not producing cold air. Since I purchased new groceries and wanting to avoid spoiling, I needed to call. I explained the situation. ( Being a relatively new resident, that is 3 months, I could not impose on neighbors): Much to my surprise, the doorbell rang within 1/2 hour. I grabbed a mask. A maintenance man came to my rescue. He repaired the appliance quickly. His manner was so professional, courteous and not patronizing. Having lived in complexes, rented from private owners and been an owner of a residence, this repair deserves 5 stars. Kudos Gateway! P.S. the next day, follow up maintenance ensued I certainly feel safe, not being a “Repair Woman.”

Beautiful second floor with balcony for my cat and I. Trees, birds, lots of walking to park or stores. Friendly neighbors but not intrusive. Maintenance are prompt, friendly and efficient. Office personnel very friendly and helpful. My 'happy place'.

From the moment I first visited the Gateway Apartments in April 2013, I was impressed by the well-maintained grounds and quality of the apartments. The leasing staff were friendly, professional, and responsive. Once I moved in to my new home, I was amazed at the well-constructed sound proofing. Whenever I have placed a work order, the maintenance team has immediately fixed the issue, nearly always on the same day. I enjoy bike riding along the Luzerne County Levee Trail, which the Gateway has direct access to. During several snowstorms and one major blizzard, the snow removal has been immediate, even before the rest of the neighboring streets have been plowed! I am proud to call the Gateway my home, and with my upcoming retirement, I look forward to enjoying many of the activities planned for residents every month.

From my first visit in April 2013 until today, I continue to be impressed by the team of professionals at The Gateway. Monthly events for all residents provide an opportunity to get to know your neighbors. The maintenance team endeavors to complete work orders within the same day. They refused to give us back our $800 security deposit when we decided not to sign the lease. Since that's illegal, they claim the $800 was an "application fee" even though the website made it clear it was applied to the security deposit. It's funny that the first time I heard the words "application fee" was after I told them I disagreed with some of the provisions in their 40+ page lease. I've seen other reviews where they overcharge fees for normal wear & tear as well, so I cant imagine how much more money I would have lost if I accepted their ridiculous lease. Do NOT apply!

This is a spectacular community. Safe, clean, beautiful curb appeal. apartments have private entry well insulated and nicely sound proofed. I barely hear my neighbors. Staff is friendly, kind and cares about us. So many activities every month. My days and evenings are booked. 24 hour maintenance. So reliable and knowledgeable. My dog and I are so happy here I wish I did this year's ago. Pool was awesome this summer.
Convenient location, all the amenities I could ever want, friendly staff who know your name yet respect your privacy. I only wish I had hardwood floors and that I moved here years ago! :)
