Staff is hard to reach, their not on the same page, one tells you one thing, one tells you something completely different. The breezeway and grounds are nasty. We pay for trash pick up, but it's not picked up.
To be honest this is the first time I’ve lived in an apartment for well over ten years. I don’t have any complaints about living here. So far so good.

When we first moved in, we noticed quite a few things that weren't up to par. However, as soon as we brought these up to the leasing agents, they worked in a timely manner to make things right! The agents here really want to ensure you're happy and have the best experience they can provide. The location itself is also awesome, being that it's so quiet even with a proximity to the interstate. We've loved living here so far!

The new management is terrible. Don't respond to emails, phone calls and the they don't give you referral bonus after you refer someone. Stay away.

For the most part, our stay, here has been quite pleasant! We had an accident during the first month that was handled surprisingly well by the new management. The only negative thing I would say is that we submitted work requests that we had to follow up with a couple of times. However, when maintenance does come, they are friendly, effective, and fast.

I've lived here for just about a year. There has been a management change... It's an adjustment. Mostly for the better. I just wish they were more timely when it comes to maintenance requests, trash pickup, and overall cleanliness (including the pool).

Throughout my experience with applying and signing a lease, everyone was nice and helpful. I had all my questions answered and they helped with fixing the lease quickly. There were some delays in getting responses at times and the lease had to be fixed multiple times, but I believe this is due to new staff and them just recently taking over this apartment community, so it wasn't a deal breaker to me! Overall, a great experience!

Living in these apartments is terrible! My roof has been leaking since I moved-in. There is mold in the ceiling and I have every type of bug issue: cockroaches, gnats, ants. The management company just had excuses even when I bought facts on the condition of the apartment to release me or provide me with a better unit. Do not recommend this place, be careful.
The community is nice and quiet. It has a very convenient and close shopping area. The amenities like pool and playground need more attention.

Rat problems bad!!! Rats are in my walls , the front office won’t and hasn’t did anything about it
Hard to reach anyone in the office throughout the day when you call or go to the office other then that it’s a nice community. It’s clean and quite, good prices
I like them, Very pretty apartment homes. But very Poor communication. Very Hard to get in touch with. Rent office stay closed even if you try to go up there
It’s decent for the price but things keep falling apart and I’ve had roaches since I moved in and seen a rat twice! If those things didn’t exist I would give it 5 stars
What's there not say about this community! I've had such a great experience, from applying to my overall move in has been phenomenal. I had some maintenance issues, and I had it resolved within hours the same day. The staff is always super welcoming, and the ground areas are always clean,

I have been a resident for the past 3 years. This is a great community and close to many shops. I fell in love with my apt floor plan as soon as I saw it. The management and the staff have been extremely friendly and responsive, especially Maddy.
My low-to-medium priority maintenance request got fixed and nobody blamed me for it. I wash a lot of dishes.
So far there haven't been many issues, though I have not been here long. The few issues that I have had are generally addressed promptly. The only issue I have had is with my dishwasher. I asked to have it replaced because the brand new one had malfunctioned twice in three weeks. Because this is a maintenance issue I figured fixing it and utilizing the warranty would be carried out by the warranty holder, i.e Gateway. However, it seems the leasing office felt I was supposed to be responsible for scheduling the appointment and I was expected to be there while they fixed the issue. My logic is since I am not the warranty holder I shouldn't have to be present for this. I wouldn't even be able to provide any warranty information to the technician if they requested it. If it needed to be replaced I also wouldn't take part in any of that. So the leasing manager and I did not necessarily see eye to eye on this, however she still was able to ensure someone from maintenance would be available to assist the whirlpool technician when they arrived. Even though this did upset me a little bit, it was resolved and any issues that I have have been addresses and taken care of promptly which is why I would still recommend this property.
this community s close to many shops, restaurants, medical centers, etc. the maintenance is good and staff are friendly.
Pros: 1) Good location: Avondale train station, Dekalb Farmers Market, Indian stores, Walmart, Kroger are all within 10 minutes of driving distance. 2) Cons: 1) Loud and Noisy: Every week, then there are a bunch of trucks in the parking lot, with loudspeakers, and drunk people talking very loud until at least 2 AM in the morning. You won't be able to fall asleep before that time. This happens almost every week. 2) Smoking: A bunch of very young people sat most of the time on the stairs, they smoked a lot of different things, and the stairs was all covered with tobacco and ash from the cigarettes/cigars and what not, so it was REALLY REALLY messy outside. It was scary at times, when 5 people smoking on the stairs and not leaving for us to use the stairs freely, we had to wait for them to clear the way for us. Management did not seem to do much about them. Other than that, I think people not picking the pet waste is pretty common, so probably that will not count as a cons. The new management Lincoln properties increased the rent by almost 30% after the lease expired, so you might have to think about it too if you're planning to stay there for more than a year.
despite the new management doing great, the buildings themselves are pretty old and the whole community is dealing with roach infestation.
