About 40 miles north of Dallas and Fort Worth, Denton is an energetic, progressive community in the heart of the DFW Metro. Even by Texas standards, Denton is booming – it is one of the nation’s fastest growing communities. It’s a college town, home to the University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University, but it’s also a hub for business and tourism, located near Lewisville Lake and only a few minutes south of Ray Roberts Lake.
The 35 Denton Music Festival and Denton Arts and Jazz Festival are both signature events with great tunes and dancing. You’ll find tons of things to experience in this suburban city. Spend your days at nearby Lewisville Lake or shop the stores at Golden Triangle Mall.
Local restaurants thrive in the downtown area, like LSA Burger Co. With its unique burgers, rooftop patio bar, and live bands, this Lone Star Attitude-inspired eatery offers a true Texas atmosphere.

Property Ratings at Gateway at Denton - Student Living
Management, maintenance and pool policies are forever being compromised. College students working in the office treat their role as a summer job of sorts. We need working professionals handling leases and payment. If you want comfort and quality, look elsewhere.
Don’t live here!!! The first unit I lived in they matched me with a roommate that was disgusting and dictated the thermostat and put it on 78-80 making our bill like $320!!!!! The staff was trying to tell me that was normal! And when I wanted to move units to get away from here because on top of that she was a bully they wanted me to pay $200!! I moved units and it was nasty and they never did anything about it. I asked multiple times for them to come clean. ANNNND my neighbor is CONSTANTLY blasting music in the middle of the night and yelling and the office won’t do anything about it and the courtesy officer doesn’t respond to calls. Also parking-don’t have people over because they won’t have anywhere to park or they will be towed. Also the gate never works and people have had their cars broken into because of it. If you’re a student you might as well just live in the dorms because most student apartments are like this I lived in midtown and they aren’t much better.

it sounds like we really missed the mark on your experience at Gateway At Denton. Can we make it up to you? Please reach out to me directly at gatewaydenton@redstoneresidential.com. Gateway at Denton, Manager
This is the most dishonest property management team that I have ever seen. When you go to look the first time they will show you all of the fantastic amenities, once you move in though you'll find that very few if any of them are accessible. The gas grills don't work and look like they haven't been cleaned in decades. You can't use the computer, study rooms or t.v. area or swimming pool because of the party's. The free wireless internet is wireless. The upgraded cable is low end Direct TV. My child's car was towed even though it had a parking pass. They have some weird accounting trick that I've never heard of for the utilities (Redstone head office you might want to send an auditor)I really think they add money onto the actual bill and pocket the rest because they'll refuse to show you the actual bill. If you question anything the assistant manager will all but have an actual breakdown and try to bully your children around (I have video of it). If you want them in a safe place that will treat them like they're wanted then use any of the other student living apartments

I don't believe some of your comments to be entirely true or accurate as they are not consistent with how we actually run our operation.
First off, when I first signed up for this apartment they told me they were doing renovations and that they would be done by November. Instead, they were renovating the entire year--so I was lucked out of all the amenities they promised (i.e. tanning bed--which they don't have anymore, study area, gym, pool, etc.) for more than half a year to the full year. Next, half the appliances in the apartment they give you are janky. My storage door in the back NEVER opened. The key slot was too rusty for the key to move in the door properly. Not to mention how AWFUL the management is. EXTREMELY RUDE. They helped me with nothing. And even a minute ago I was bad mouthed by the management. To my face. Horrible Horrible Horrible Place to live. It's cheap for a reason, and the prices are going up.
Being a student means that you are broke... All the time. Luckily, Gateway at Denton is cheap enough not to completely break the bank. It's fully furnished, and no it's not absolutely amazing furniture, but it's homey. The amenities are nice and the pool is pretty awesome. The environment is chill and it doesn't get too terribly loud. So far I am pleased with my decision.
Honestly, I've had a fine experience here at Gateway. There have been a few issues, but none major. Its a great location with the bus stop readily available and walking distance to campus. The price point is right for a lease-by-room place, and my 4x4 is a fine size. Have had no problems with any of the residents and it's a generally quiet complex. Would recommend.
I've been living at Gateway Apartments for nearly a year now. I really feel I could have chosen better. I'll cover the bad first then the good. When I first moved in my room had been steamed cleaned, but that was it. My bathroom had a thin layer of dust and hair. Someone had actually managed to paint hair onto the wall.. My sink leaked, the toilet seat was wobbled, and the shower was clogged. The common area was far worse. There was trash, grass, and dust all the over the kitchen and living room floor and in the living room furniture. The back porch door stuck, and the dishwashers' bottom rack was missing its wheels. There were also marks and scuffs on the common area walls. The apartment is furnished, but the quality of said furniture is sub par. I was honestly apprehensive of sitting on couch because you fell all the way down in it and had never been cleaned. My bed frame wobbles and I can feel the individual springs in the mattress, so a quality mattress cover is paramount. The apartment offers free WiFi and Ethernet jack in each room. The WiFi is terrible. The speeds regularly clock below 1 MG per second. A wired connection is much more reliable. I can get speeds up 35-40 MG per second. I recommend buying your own personal WiFi routers and password protecting it. My neighbors are noisy, but that is to be expected because its student living. Be wary of bringing valuables to the pool or clubhouse because they are likely to be stolen. The gym is a collection of broken gym equipment. Ok... Now, on to the good. The apartments have a nice location. It's a 15 minute walk to UNT campus, and the bus stops in front of the complex. But, if you want to get anywhere else, a car is needed. Bicycles are great, but make sure you have a big lock on your bike. I had mine stolen. For student living, it is on the cheaper side. I usually pay $565 (depending on utilities) for my bedroom and bathroom in my 4x4 apartment. I have three other roommates who were randoms. They have been great. Everyone is very courteous of the others, and they are not a problem. Overall, I would not recommend this apartment. Find a regular apartment and split the rent with people whom you trust. If you can only do Student Living, try the other complex the street. Its a few years newer and the appliances are actually nice.
