Horrible Management. Horrible Maintenance. Horrible Corporate Office. Miserable living experience. They put profit before providing a safe living place for residents. My apartment has leaked three times in two months. They keep painting over the leak and it keeps happening.

great community to live it. great apartment to live in. staff is very nice everytime i go into the office. great small gym to go too as well and great computer lab!

I like gateway, the amenities are open at all times and useable at any moment. I emojis how close I am to the pool and office it is one of the best perks of living at gateway
Toilet has broken 5 times while here, the office is open at objectively bad times for student housing, parking is terrible and security is nonexistent. Rent is cheap enough though.
This week, I had the stressful task of moving my daughter into Gateway Apartments in Huntsville, Texas. Any parent know that relocating your student from one apartment to another can be exhausting. Our transition was less stressful because of the management at Gateway. Kudos to the manager, Eme who went above and beyond to ensure all of our needs were met expediently. Just to mention her team, Annie and Ryan in the front office were excellent and very cordial. Ade and Charles went out of their way to help me with a smile. Louie, the maintenance supervisor was “Johnny on the spot” with repairs. I just want the manager Eme and potential tenants to know that our experience was Great and we sincerely appreciate this team of people who are definitely “KEEPERS”. Looking forward to a great year at Gateway. Thank you from Ms. Spears.
This might just be the worst place to live in Huntsville. Place is always trashed, mold grows out of the vents. Pool is bad, no hot tub. Management will not work with you on anything. These are money hungry people looking for short-cuts in everything. It’s not a safe place to live, things will break, you will find holes in walls, furniture, etc. bugs are everywhere, most of the balcony doors still let in bugs and rain because they aren’t sealed at the bottom. Just terrible all around please save yourself the stress and take the negative reviews serious.
There is no way I would ever live here again! I do not recommend signing at Gateway! My roommates and I have had nothing but issues from the first to the last day as residents. The outside of the complex looks great, being that they were just redone not long ago. The inside, on the other hand, looks nothing like the model and the units are falling apart. DO NOT think that when you sign your apartment will look like the model, because it will not! From no AC for over a month in the middle of summer to a water leak causing the ceiling to crumble in the Kitchen for months on end, it has happened. There is no way I could even fit all of the issues we have had in a 6 month period into this review. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and endless hours spent dealing with management and the front office staff. Even after moved out we had issues with management not returning calls or emails and the front office staff hanging up on my roommates and I each time we would call. I do not recommend signing at Gateway.
Do not, do NOT, choose to live here. Here are the cons to living I have experienced in my 7 short months here. -The AC in the gym works less than half the time -The "lights" in the computer warm are SO BIG that they make the whole room above 80 degrees and sweating while studying is not fun -50 % of the study rooms have been unusable for a decent length of time because the door to the room is locked by management. Why you ask? because the builders of this place did not know what they were doing. The door cant hinge properly without scraping the ground and ruining the floor. how do we fix this you ask? LOCK THE DOOR OF COURSE -You cant walk around the complex more than 24 hours without AN AWFUL smell of weed. ps I have had to move rooms twice because of this. -Some fraternities think they can throw parties here on week nights? -The maintenance team has entered my apt to fill a work order when I was not home and then LEFT THE ROOM UNLOCKED!!! Not to mention they disrespected my personal property inside the apt when I returned. So after 7 months these are the few issues I have noticed here. PROS The property manager, Alex, was a nice and helpful person. Too bad that he LEFT because he was about the only person worth your money here. Go some where else.
My daughter has lived there for a year and a half. Her apartment has flooded for the fourth time. Was not offered a place to stay or alternate living arrangements until I visited the office. Needless to say the young ladies were not very helpful as they cannot make any desicions and management was out of town. Apartments offered were dirty and not in move in condition. I understand that it was a last minute thing but there has to be plans for this type of situations or personnel to take care of it. As a parent I would not recommend this place.
The management is not helpful at all. On-site manager will give you the run around when you have a problem, and won't take care of the issue in a timely manner. Several times I had to go above his head to the regional manager in order to get problems fixed. Maintenance staff is rude and doesn't do their job. They close out maintenance requests without ever fixing the problem or doing any physical work. When I moved in, there was a hole in the bedroom door that had been patched with a ton of Spackle, but the patch was all cracked and was not the same color as the door and therefore looked terrible. I had several AC issues where it wouldn't work during certain times of the day. Maintenance would not fix the issue, even though all the AC unit needed was more Freon. The outside contractors they bring in to do repairs to the property (for example, replace the roofs or paint the buildings or replace hard wood floors) are not dependable and leave leftover materials everywhere. I found screws in my car tires from the roofing contractors that were brought in and didn't pickup their leftover screws. I honestly would not recommend this complex to people because of all the issues I had in the two years I lived there.
I have lived here a month and it's loud, unkept, maintenance takes a while to respond, the shuttle bus has broken down and left many students on campus on very short notice. They don't have proper mailbox keys for residents, and the new Preiss App for your phone is a hassle. Small things are just a serious inconvenience such as very spotty internet connection.
I lived here as a college student, never had any complaints. Management was easy to deal with, rather quiet place for a college town might I add. Friendly and timely staff. But they did charge something to my credit without ever letting me know I had a fee or bill due. Even with knowing all of my forwarding information. Other than that...ALL good.
