Most unprofessional management. Refuses to resolve or even address any issues. Management (Wendy) if rude and resolves zero issues. Loud neighbors and management does nothing. Bugs!!, car vandalism, lack of respect from neighbors (parties all the time and no one does anything). Even if you bring up an issue, you are made to be the one who is now the issue. Cracked floors, lights missing, dogs always barking, etc. I have lived in places much cheaper and maybe not as nice from the outside, but at least they had professional management and a peaceful place to come home to. The noise has gotten so bad that my kids have to stay with their Dad during the week because they are falling asleep in school and grades are dropping. I have never been so dissatisfied with my living experience. Trust me when I say, DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME! Look somewhere else!
I love my apartment! The complex is very comfortable and inviting! Gateway always have activities for the tenants! I see a long future here.
Had to call the maintenance team on a Sunday cause our AC went out. Matt was here in less than 30 minutes and immediately knew how to fix the problem. Overall the staff here is very friendly and we have had an awesome time living here!
This is one of the better complexes I have lived in, but it still leaves some to be desired and has issues of its own. My first year went by quick with very little issues. The people that work in the office are a solid 9/10. The only annoying this is that cars with loud mufflers LOVE to drag race and speed down this dead end road at all hours of the day and night. But otherwise it's been okay. There's currently construction going on right past the complex but it is still very quiet around here past 7 pm. Management (which recently changed to Southwood Realty) is good about coming to replace your air filters every month and responding to maintenance calls the next day. For some unknown reason they took all the fire extinguishers out of each unit and now only have ONE on the breezeways? Some other things they don't tell you... Rent will increase by $100 - $200 after your first year. None of this includes water, electricity, or internet. The trash fee pays for the *privilege* of walking your trash across the complex to the single trash compactor. We get notices all the time about not leaving trash on balconies and in breeze ways as that apparently is breaking our lease agreement. If you have a grill, you better hide it well. You can't have them in your apartment, on your balcony, or even in the storage units as that is a breach of your lease too. Slightly burnt toast sets off our fire alarms *every time*, which will now automatically reset the breaker to the stove when they go off. It's your responsibility to replace any and all light bulbs and smoke detector batteries-- they have already put a letter on our door saying maintenance won't do it. Current management will also not do anything about noise complaints or your entire apartment smelling excessively of weed if you don't know the EXACT apartment it is coming from. And the pool is only open from mid June to the end of July. You can't even go over there to sunbathe the other 10 months of the year. Their gym is okay but their upkeep of the equipment is subpar and they rarely have anything out to sanitize machines anymore (even with COVID still around).
With new ownership in place, living quality has declined significantly. Cardboard recycling has been eliminated which makes no environmental sense nor does it make sense for anyone's convenience. Fire extinguishers were even removed from everyone's apartment. What could that possibly do other than protect peoples lives at a very small cost to a complex. Rents have gone up, services have gone down and no one is attentive to concerns at the office.
My wife and I enjoyed living here because it's a dog friendly neighborhood. We recently moved away and were sad because we had to take our fur babies away from the excellent dog park they built. This is the one place we inquired about that allowed Dobermans, who are the sweetest dogs. So if you have a Doberman or another dog who wrongfully gets a bad rep, this place is right for you. We had no gripes or complaints during our time living in these apartments (with the exception of some sketchy tenants around us). We were on the 1st floor and didn't experience any problems with maintenance, noise, etc. The staff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about the comfort of living.

It is very difficult these days to find a place to call home. After weeks of research, we toured Gateway at Rock Hill Apartments. The apartments and landscaping are beautiful. Wonderful amenities and features. It is very peaceful and serene. The most important decision was the AWESOME staff! I have had the pleasure of working with Gateway at Rock hill since they opened. I am a corporate housing provider based in Rock hill and place people for temporary stays for various reasons such as job relocation, building a home, etc.the staff is so friendly an easy to work with. Maintenance team is quick to respond when an apartment may have an issue. all apartment sizes are spacious with walk in closets. First floor apartments have faux flooring throughout apartment except in the bedrooms there is carpet. The apartments offer stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. Walking distance to the Rock Hill Galleria Mall and fine restaurants. It's a place that you can easily nestle up in and call home.
We just moved in and the staff was helpful every step of the way. They were always responsive to our calls and any questions we had. Our new home is awesome, not only is is beautiful inside but the outside areas are also nice. My son had a great time playing outside and made new friends yesterday. My toddler loves the playground as well. We are happy to be here and know that we made the best choice by choosing Gateway!!
Well, to begin I agree with the previous review regarding the quality of the apartments. They built these incredibly fast using the cheapest materials in every aspect of the apartments and community. Probably to save but in the long run the apartments will deteriorate fast. I signed a year lease, I don't intend to renew. There is a pest fee added to your rent. Now I see why...I've seen alllll types of bugs in my apartments
I dont know why they keep raising prices and no improvements are being done. Pressure washer hasn't came in almost a year and the apartments have limited space especially closet space with thin walls. Also most of the workout equipment is always broken but rent is being raised?? Other than that its a nice environment with close range to the interstate, restaurants,retail stores and the mall is the best part about living here. Cheap stairs as well.

I will definitely be renewing my lease here. Not only is my apartment spacious and very nice, the staff is great and always go above and beyond. I am disabled and they truly go out of their way to help me with anything from getting packages into my apartments to allowing me to fax and print things in the office that I need help with. The grounds are always kept clean and maintenance is completed promptly. Milk and Cookies with Santa was great guys! I love the community events that you have and the opportunity to meet my neighbors. Beautiful clubhouse and hands down the best customer service. I love this place! Thank you guys....and ladies!
I have lived here for a couple months.. pretty....pretty expensive, pretty thin walls & ceilings, pretty ridiculous pool restrictions... ..you can hear every foot step, toilet flush, and water draining from tubs/and or washing machine overhead/next door.POOR/CHEAPLY constructed.. flooding on bottom levels when it rains.... and did I mention the ants and other pests??. Several of us have had terrible ant infestations... dont rent here unless its.on the 3rd level..end apartment... oh and dont try to have more than 1 guest at the pool....
I have lived at Gateway at Rock Hill apartments since November 2015 and I have received nothing less than #1 service from the very professional and extremely friendly service from the office staff to the prompt and friendly maintenance! This is the best experience I have had from any of the apartments in Rock Hill. They have fabulous amenities that are included, not to mention that they always have fun activities for kids and the adults!! Very quiet and safe area and all neighbors have been very courteous. I even had a neighbor (did not know who he was) that knocked on my door to let me know that I left my lights on in my car! ***Good looking out to whoever you are! :) All of my friends LOVE my apartment with the luxury upgrades from the vaulted ceilings to the matching granite countertops throughout the apartment. We absolutely love this apartment complex! The staff is very friendly. They also like to have things for us renters to enjoy with the season/holiday. Just recently they had an easter egg hunt for the adults and children. We had a blast! We have really enjoyed living here and even through the construction it does not make interruptions.
