Property Ratings at Gateway Club
This is not a gated community anymore! The gates have been completely open, probably broken, for years now. Before it was sold to Northland, the staff was great, the residents were friendlier, and the property was cleaner. Now, we don't see the staff cleaning and maintaining the property anymore. It seems like there are no more requirements to be accepted as a resident, anyone can rent here. Just to illustrate what is happening in this property... At this moment, there is one building with a couch outside where some residents sit and smoke weed at night. I used to love it here, but now I feel like this place is just a cash cow for them.

They are kind before you sign your lease and treat you differently after you move in. Charge you unfair chargers when you move out. Don’t move here, you’ve been warned ??

I lived here for two years and it was great! The unit was turned over to me in top condition and living here was quite with nice neighbors. The staff was always helpful and went other o their way to to help me and communicate. Misty, the Community Manager, was awesome. She was always quick to respond to questions and very helpful. She even took personal effort to help me recover some mail. It was just a real feeling of community and being looked out for there. Her and the rest of the office were always easy to communicate with and friendly. My neighbors were all really great, respectful and friendly. I would recommend this community to anyone looking for an apartment. The local area is safe and has all the amenities and restaurants within walking distance. It is far enough from 95 and the turnpike to be safe and quite but close enough to be convenient

We have had the privilege of living at The Gateway Club for 7 years. It is a family friendly apartment with some beautiful lake views right out your backside/window. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The maintenance crew is very quick and responsive if there is ever an issue. They also do quality work. The amenities are always kept up. It is also centrally located close to a lot of stores and restaurants. I would def recommend this apartment.

I have been a resident here for a few years and from day one the office staff has been nothing but nice and professional to me and my family. Over the years I've had things break and I would put in a work order and within 48 hours my issues were either fixed or maintenance informed me on any pending issues. I agree with some on the issue of dog poop but you can't blame that on the office staff it's the responsibility of the dog owner to clean up after their pet. The office staff sends out letters and emails regarding this issue but people wait until it's dark and let their pet out and not clean up behind them. Also where the trash is concerned I see the maintenance guys out there every morning cleaning up the dumpster area because people won't walk the trash up the stairs and put it in the dumpster they just through it on the curb. Every other week I'm getting an email from the office about the trash compactor informing us on how to properly dispose of trash. Truth be told you'll never find a place where everything or everyone is perfect because we are all humans and none of us are perfect. I really like it here and I have a good relationship with everyone in my building we are like one big happy family and we all look out for one another. I feel bad for those who didn't have such a pleasant stay here but I can honestly say I've had no major issues that weren't taken care of. Like with anything there's always room for improvements and I'm excited to see what the new management company has in store for this place!

My husband and I needed to move to the East Coast quickly and had limited time to find an apartment. We knew we probably would have to settle for a pretty basic apartment due to the time crunch so we went with Gateway. Everything seemed acceptable and super basic and the square footage was nice for the price. The good things stop there. It all went downhill as soon as we moved in. The second we walked into the apartment it was filthy- cobwebs, daddy long legs, dirty counters, crusty food on the appliances, dirty floors, etc. The apartment was “move-in ready” in December, we didn’t move in until January 16th (MORE than enough time to do a walk through and make sure the apartment was acceptable). We lived there 5 months and every month we had maintenance in our apartment 2-4 times. Dryer broken, ice machine broken, toilet leaking, and washer broken. Each time someone came, worked on the problem, said it was fixed or that they needed a certain part, left, never followed up and then 24 hours later we are stuck putting in another work order since it was never properly fixed in the first place. Pest control- if you love roaches this place is for you, we resorted to spending $30+ on roach motels because the pest control gentleman constantly assured us all he was spraying was “glorified raid” so he wasn’t doing anything we couldn’t do ourselves - complete bogus to pay $4 a month for that service. The complex itself is nasty- trash everywhere, fast food bags, junk mail, glass bottles, lighters, water bottles full of pee, dog poop on the sidewalks there’s not 1 member of the Gateway team that takes pride in that community, the trash just sits and sits while maintenance drives by on their golf carts. The leasing staff is not any better every month we had to argue a $12 charge that continually was added to our bill for renters insurance when we were already carrying a policy ourselves and informed the staff of that 3x’s. Don’t even get me started on how they hassle you when you move out, and give you a crazy list of cleaning expectations yet allow you to move into someone else’s filth. Find some wiggle room in your budget and go elsewhere because it’s not worth living in the previous tenants filth, and dealing with a leasing staff that Needs to get a clue.

Worst experience ever!!! Super expensive, they increase the rent twice a year, maintenance crew don't know what are they doing, the staff is very rude and unfriendly, at the beginning was ok but it was getting a ghetto vibe, kids smoking weed in the parking lot with the pants below their underwear, my car was opened twice, forget about your security deposit, they charged me $400 for a key that they never gave me and for getting rid of a table, I'd never recommend this place to anyone!!!

As a Navy veteran retired Chief, this place is totally UNSAT. I have written documentation of the horrible experience me and my daughter had here. Let’s just say I had to call code endorsement Palmbeach County the fire department and the state of Florida, documentation from all all my neighbors to get a water leak from my neighbors upstairs unit fix that continued to caused severe damage to my apartment including mold. They try to offer me another apartment with so many stipulations as if the cause of damage were our fault. I have been through hell and back with these people! I have photos recordings of everything they have put us through. Managent is rude slick and are con artist. I have written emails from the property manager who lied on several email on what they were going to do and it never happen. I learned allot about mold moving to this apartment in Florida. Carefully read the reviews of other people talk to the people that live there. As a Christian and a 24 year retired Navy Veteran I have no reason to lie about the horrible experiences we had here. 7 months of possession of this apartment and it had major problems Maintence was in and out of my apartment all because of issues with an upstairs unit. We were sick from breathing live active mold spores it was horrible. Worst mistake I ever made in my life. I pray that they will never get away from what they did to me and my daughter. Still pending I don’t care if I get 1 penny I don’t want this to ever happen to any one else. They have been doing this from what I been hearing to several tenants no one has held them accountable.
So storytime i stayed in gateway club about maybe three or four days out of the week with my boyfriend and his family. From day one The ice in their freezer had a funny taste like mildew. But of course telling the office and having someone come look at it took forever and nothing was really done about it. The gate always has problems and if you're on foot you can just walk right in so what's the point? I've personally witnessed the "fine" "nice" ladies working in the office gossiping about the tenants in Gateway club and didn't even bother to stop when i walked in. We have had neighbors smoking marijuana on the steps above my boyfriends unit and even being blamed for it by the office which is ridiculous. There have been times were the neighbors who live across the lake allow their daughter to walk her small dog right past our back patio knowing that our dog and her dog does not get along just to make our dog bark and scratch at the glass. In my opinion a good neighbor would avoid conflict. We have been nice to all the neighbors and respectful as far as I know yet there seems to be many issues in this community. Finally if you have a mold problem they won't even tell you that you have to leave for a few days while they treat it or give you a place to stay while they open your walls and expose you to the toxic air and mold they are cleaning. I actually got mold poisoning and had to go to the hospital my chest was tight I had very bad headaches I could not breathe properly I was fatigued and congested. If people who come to treat mold have to wear proper equipment just to treat it don't you think that the tenants should not be in the home while they are treating this substance. Who's going to pay for my medical bills that I now have to find money for? Enough is enough don't move in here unless you want to go broke gets sick and always have problems.
Spent 13 months living here and parking was terrible. Never hung anything on the walls and left it cleaner than it was when I moved in. The toilet in bathroom needed fixed and it never got fixed. My deposit was deducted $186.00 for painting. I guess they forgot about my complaint that it was dirty before I moved in. They got me but hope they don’t get anyone else.
I lived here for 3 years. Management did nothing about my downstairs neighbor that sat on my steps day and night smoking and drinking. I felt totally unsafe. I found out after I moved in that there's no parking. I was assured there were plenty of spots. Cost me an extra 150 a month to park. They treat you like crap when the hurricane shutters need to be distributed. They tell you you have 24 hours then change it to 2 hours and are nasty about it. When I gave notice about moving I asked each step before I made arrangements. They go back on everything they tell you even if it costs you time and money. Totally horrible experience. You're not resident here. You're just about the money. The maintenance men are disrespectful. Disregard my comments if you choose but you'll remember them after you move in. You've been warned
My wife and I lived here for 4 years. The floor plans are spacious and are larger than most in Boynton Beach. The management staff is friendly and always willing to help. The very few times we needed something repaired in the apartment, maintenance was there the same day and would always be friendly and have things fixed the first time. We never had any problems with neighbors and always felt safe at all times of the day or night. We would highly recommend The Gateway Club.
We moved in about 6 months ago now and me and my husband love it. We have one of the updated units and they really did a nice job with it (hardwood floors, granite counter tops). The pool and hot tub are a great amenity, and the leasing office organizes monthly brunches and other seasonal parties that are catered really nicely. The leasing office ladies have always been incredibly nice, and very helpful. They are really doing a nice job around the complex to continue modernizing it and sprucing it up. My only complaint is that the window screens aren't great, so during the cooler months of the year when we leave the windows open we tend to get a few bugs in the apartment because of the loose screens. Other than that, it's a really great place to live!
I just moved in yesterday. Let's start with the positive. Apartments are great. Wasn't expecting washer and dryer inside but was pleasantly surprised. Great view from balcony. Alarm system. Can't say enough good things about the apartment itself. Now for the negative that I've already experienced. The leasing office didn't set up my cards correctly to get into the gate, and the codes she gave me to get in weren't set up right either. The result was that I was locked out of my apartment complex last night. I called the 24 maintenance emergency line TWICE. Both times, the operator said to call back if I didn't hear from on-call maintenance. I waited about an hour total and never heard from maintenance, so I just hurried in through the exit gate after someone finally used the gates. Of course, signs state that only one car has time to get through before the gate closes and your car gets damaged so had to take a risk so that I could actually get home some time last night. Today, I called and spoke to the assistant property manager, and she fixed the card and codes. However, she never so much as apologized for the inconvenience, and she said that the maintenance line probably never dispatched maintenance last night because not being able to get into the gate of your own complex and get home is not considered an emergency. Excuse me? Not an emergency? Was I supposed to sleep in my car outside the complex last night? Second, I was told by the leasing office yesterday that I could park my uhaul in the the middle of the street to unload because the roads are very wide. So I did so. There was plenty of room for cars to get by on both sides, and I blocked NO garages. However, some other resident left a profane note on my uhaul saying I was blocking a garage, which I confirmed I was not. While I like the apartment, overall this complex has given me a terrible experience so far.
It is known that this company charges everyone above their deposit for "damages" done to your unit. I am currently in a dispute with them about the "damages". When I called to ask about the "damages" Cari was rude when I asked the questions or she preferred not to answer the question. I am now writing a rebuttal to them about these "damages". Former residents and former employees have told me that this is their "practice". I had my apartment professionally cleaned as I have had all of my apartments done in the past to secure that I do get my deposit back. They want to charge me an additional $500.00 above and beyond by deposit and my pet deposit.
I have lived here for 2 years and I love it here. From the office staff to the grounds, everything is fantastic. The office staff is so friendly and helpful. Maintenance is a phone call away and they are always there if you need them. The grounds are always kept so nice. I have moved out of a few communities due to nasty staff or poorly kept grounds, but blind plan to stay for a while! I have even been in the leasing office a few times while prospective residents are touring and I've recommended the community highly.
Gateway Club is a great place to live. There is a tennis court, swimming pool, gym, nice neighbors, and a helpful staff. A plus is also that stores and restaurants are all within 10 minutes.
This Apartment Home is relatively nice , management is always nice and willing to help. However the rent is way too high for a three bedroom in this community. I need a lower rent at this time.
Friendly and Family Oriented. Love the 1st Saturday Breakfast! Beautiful Pool and GREAT FITNESS ROOM! Staff is accommodating and 24 hr Maintenance. Been here for 5 years now.
We've been here a year now and just renewed our lease. Great pool, fitness center, and dog friendly. The best part about living here is the location. Really close to shopping and restaurants.
