Constant water line breaks, trash outisde of garbage area. Parking is not monitored. I would go anywhere else. Not worth the hassle.

We apologize for the inconvenience while we were trying to assess water leak. Good news that the water leak is not on our property and will be working with the city. We try to do our best to correct all issues. We are looking at other ways to improve the grounds to help with littering and people not properly disposing their trash. As for parking lot not being monitored, we have change towing company and they monitor now 24hours. Hi, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around.
This place has been nothing but issues since I’ve moved here July 2022. The place was never throughly cleaned from the previous tenants, mold in the shower caulking, dirty toilets just to name a few. They take you on a tour of the model apartment meanwhile the area you actually live hasnt been maintained in years. Writing on stairs and siding. I’ve talked to mgmt several times and nothing has been addressed, just excuses. My advice is to tour your actual apartment area BEFORE agreeing to your lease. Everything that glitters isn’t gold.

This is the layout I'd been wanting since I moved to Ohio in 2014 and I'm so happy I made this decision. I love the apartment; they're old and it has several problems that I can have addressed or correct myself but it's my neighbour that has me considering taking my money elsewhere because he plays his music so loud my floor and walls vibrate, and Soundcloud can identify the tracks from the middle of the room. It's a very friendly community and the tiny, tiny bit of contact I had with staff was flawless. They try very hard to keep it nice, old as it is, and they do care about the people living here. I've met a few residents who lived here when the property was newer and only hear good things from them as well! Rent here! I do wish we could reserve the parking spots directly in front of the buildings for a monthly fee. I think I'd give this place a solid 5 if the oven and refrigerator were new (and didn't leak), and my neighbour wouldn't play music so loud. One of my cabinet doors are installed backwards and I find that hilarious. I may inquire later whether I could buy my own kitchen appliances...

12/10 We have only lived here for 6 months but everything has been wonderful. The office people have always been kind and informative and the maintenance have always been here same day for any issues we've had. So glad we found a place we can stay until we are ready to own a home.

Recently moved into the community and am pretty happy. The staff all seem great with what little interaction I've had to have. The office staff was friendly and entertaining during my move in process and my experience with maintenance so far was just needing a closet door re-hung that fell off but they were here the same day. If I had to make a complaint it would be that some people need to slow down in the community when coming and going but there are speed bumps so they're just messing up their own cars. Otherwise kudos Gateway Lakes! 5 Stars it is!

Gateway lakes is one of my favorite places to visit my family. I come here every other week and it’s fantastic. The pool is phenomenal and every one is super friendly. I would love to come to this place a lot more often then I do

Originally reading the reviews i did not think that this place would be nice to move into. But once i did my mind was changed. I really do love it here. I love how quite it is. Yes i live right by the highway but i hardley ever here cars. Only things i will say is the windows need cleaned or they just need new windows. Also, they need a park for kids. Im suprised they don't. Need more cabinet space and counter space. Kitchen is really small ?? but other than those things it is great. I never have issues and when i do maintenance is on it. Alyssa in the main office is a saint. I love talking to her and getting information. She is always on top of it.overall great place to move to!
We lived there for almost 2 years and last year found Black mold on walls, window sills and furniture. Had a lung spell Jan.1 2018 and had to be admitted to the hospital. We showed maintenance the mold and they took pictures and told us 'you should see some of the other appartments. We took pictures and showed them to our doctor. He told us to move immediately. We did and my ailments have gotten a lot better. We have talked to an attorney and he said we definitely have a claim. Suggestion: DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!
Place used to be good. It's gone downhill and the new manager is terrible. Not only is she rude but she isn't helpful. Do not move here. Breaking my lease asap
Price of apartments is too high for such low quality. Maintenance takes forever. Parking is horrible. My apartment isn't even level. Rental office people are nice but come and go so quick.
The apartments are recent,but not new. The rate of rent does not appear to match the worth of the place. I reside on the second floor ( big mistake). Although my neighborhood is quiet, the building sits adjacent to a HIGHWAY!!!!! There is no need to check the news for the traffic flow, I can hear it right outside my window ??. The only great thing about the place is that the maintenance is usually very quick to address any issue.
The current staff and maintenance are nice people working hard for us tenants so it's not their fault what I will mention but after going through three owners and a jump from $540 a month to currently $720 you would hope the property would be better. The current and past owners raise rent only and did not maintain and improve the buildings with exception of paving the entrance because people wanting to move due to big potholes damaging cars. The buildings need power washed because of bird droppings, nests, and large mold stains everywhere. Inadequate parking layout in certain areas, and maintenance overwhelmed with repairs. The staff and maintenance are aware of the problems and work to resolve it but have to wait for owners to approve it which so far they haven't. After living here for four years I have my doubts and with rent so high in Columbus now I am not sure where the best deal is.

The apartment complex has changed it's policy so that if you do not get rent in on the first it's a $50 fine and if you miss the 3rd it's another $50. They send a reminder after the 3rd day to ensure they get their $100. I had emergency surgery on the 29th of the month and was recovering and full of pain pills when I received the reminder that I owe an extra $100. My carpet has big holes in it from the carpet delaminating. The rental office stated they will not fix the carpet while I live in the apartment. Getting in and out of the complex on to Stringtown Rd is a nightmare. Save your headache for things you can't control and do not move in.
