Located about 10 miles south of Redding and across the Sacramento River from Redding Municipal Airport, Anderson provides the beauty of northern California with fast access to the larger city via the Cascade Wonderland Highway. Anderson's crown jewel, Anderson River Park, offers spectacular river views, a boat ramp, paved walkways, hiking trails, a disc golf course, a playground, and picnic areas. Anderson is home to the Shasta District Fair and Event Center. The fair, held in June, attracts more than 75,000 visitors and includes a carnival, arts and crafts, livestock exhibits, and entertainment. The Event Center also hosts trade shows and other events.
Local attractions in Anderson include the Anderson Historical Society and Museum, which includes the 1890s Frisbie House and a one-room schoolhouse dating from around 1900.

Best apartments and amenities
This is the best apartment complex we've lived in. We've lived in different citys and been in quite a few buildings but we've never enjoyed living anywhere as much as we have at Gateway. The ammenities are great, the complex is always clean, they have friendly staff, they maintain and fix things quickly, and we have the best apartment manager. We were paying more for less amenities and less friendly management at our previous complex; Coming here was a night and day difference. The manager is such a warm hearted lady and so helpful, you can go to her for anything. We've lived here nearly 2 years and our next door neighbor has lived here for 6 if thats any indication. HIGHLY RECCOMEND

Decent
Rent isn't too high and its right behind a Safeway which is nice if you shop there. Very close to the banks and other shopping centers.
