Property Ratings at Generation Avondale East
Hello, I’m a resident here a the complex an noticed that everytime the office is closed entirely to much… which now you can’t access the gym.. I feel like the gym should be 24/7 for tenants and most of the time the gym is close more than it’s open… the hours for the gym on range from about 10-6 every day which is wild to me.. this issue needs to be fixed if you offer amenities.. like a gym it should be available at all time for tenants.
The management here is horrible and has zero sense of urgency when addressing issues in the community. My washer has been broken for 3 weeks and 3 maintenance visits later nothing has been solved. The gym that was advertised as 24 hours has been limited to leasing office hours since the community opened as if people do not have work during the week.

Hi Anonymous, Our records indicate that your service request were followed up. During the communication the resident has been notified of the warranty and response time for the needed part of your appliance. The staff will continue to update you on the timeline of your warranty repair. The gym has not opened 24 hours because the office would not be secured. Management has advised all prospects and resident that once the special order is received the gym or other amenities will not be accessible and this decision was made with the betterment of the residents in mind. We appreciate your understanding to this concern.
The community is nice but the gate is always broken, the amenities are not open full time, and the appliances have issues that maintenance cannot fix.

It all started off great with Victoria. She was very knowledgeable, she inquired about my needs and wants and stayed in touch even after I came back home (another state) to inform me of price changes, etc however; after I paid the 350 to have my application processed things went downhill. I was approved through Greystar and was sent the unit number, utility and internet information, and access to the resident portal only to find out that I wasn’t fully approved and had to go through ApproveShield. I never felt more violated in my life. I gave them access to all my bank accounts as required, and benefits only to ask for more. Moving from outta state, I’m unfamiliar with Georgia’s processes so I complied. Everything I was asked of, I submitted. From June 28th until July 19th I heard nothing from the property. I emailed and it was kicked back, I called no answer, I emailed Greystar and nothing. Finally on the 19th I spoke with Tatiana to find out that Victoria no longer works for them and inquire about how to go about getting some of my money back and she said if I cancel the application I wouldn’t get the 250 back but if I was denied I would get the 250 back. After more questions for her Jay took my information and said oh you were denied because I didn’t give my bank information in which I did and have proof. I advised her I did everything I was asked and didn’t hear anything since July 5th after I was asked for a physically offer letter. I wrote back, how I received the letter and the contact information for the school district was on the email. She didn’t really empathize she just said my money was non refundable. I told her that’s not what the other girl said and she got that information from whoever she asked the questions to. Jay said they refund at other properties but not this one. Well I have a paper that says otherwise but I’m traveling and don’t have it on me. She gave me her email and said “I look forward to seeing that.” I’m a teacher and mom. I did everything by the book for this property to ensure my child and I were safe and able to transition to a new state smoothly. That wasn’t the case here and it’s sad because this property is beautiful and new. I hope this helps someone. In no way am I bashing this property, I’m simply sharing my experiences. I am currently working on getting “some” of my money back. I am thankful for my village that helped me locate another property within budget, sizing and not so many hoops to jump through.
