Property Ratings at THE GENTRY
The apartments are great, spacious, fans in every room, LED lights so they won't need to be replaced often. You can count on maintenance to get back to you within a day or two for any orders you put in for repairs. That being said, some things have started to take a downward turn. Community repairs seem to no longer be prioritized, with some things like door closers on stairwell doors just never being fixed, leaving doors that either slam shut or stay open. In addition, the pet waste bins also seem to sit for longer before they are being emptied, often getting fairly full before they are taken care of. In one instance, the bin by the trash compactor sat for almost 2 weeks before it was emptied. Most of this would not need be an issue, except that the price of rent is high enough to imply a premium experience. If that is what was being aimed at, then community property must also be taken care of in a timely manner, not just the apartments themselves.
I've had a wonderful experience living in this apartment community. The people are friendly, the amenities are fantastic, management is excellent, and the location couldn't be better. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a new home look no further the Gentry Apartments are like being on a vacation clean friendly with tons of amenities I have been here just over a month and their staff and maintenance are top notch

I think this is a wonderful place to live. I moved from Tennessee, and this complex is right by the office that I work at, so it was ideal for me coming into an area I wasnt familiar with. The staff has been absolutely awesome the entire time Ive been here. :)

The Gentry is the perfect apartment complex. There are only 3 buildings so there is no cookie-cutter look and feel. Personal relationships with the staff. Right off of 64, a few minutes from the Watterson and the Snyder, and 10 minutes to downtown, which makes it quick to get anywhere in Louisville, as well as to the country.

The Gentry is a great place to live. The Staff will make you feel welcome, wanted, and important. The residents are very friendly and there is a great sense of community here.The location cant be beat, everything you want and need is within 3 miles

Excellent community. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. So pleased to be living here at The Vinings at Hurstbourne.
Love how quiet the area is despite being so close to major roads and a highway.
If you are considering moving here, please read. Here is my list of reasons to reconsider..... 1. Frequently broken elevator. Management always has an excuse as to why it’s broken. They do not have an emergency plan in place so if the elevator breaks on the weekend or during a holiday, the elevator is not fixed until the elevator company is back to work. There are 60 steps up to the fourth floor. If you have health issues.... forget it! 2. The valet trash service is terrible.... ($25 monthly fee tacked on rent) they are very selective of what they will pick-up. I got a note from them because my bag was not “properly” tied. Really! 3. It’s a difficult apartment to move into due the fact that there is nowhere to park the moving truck to unload. Curbs are high and ramps are not conveniently located. 4. Garbage dumpster is the focal point of the back of buildings 2 and 3. It smells really bad on hot days and garbage is frequently piled up in front of the door. 5. Parking is limited and parking lot is not well lit. 6. Management doesn’t seem concerned about tenants....always an excuse. 7. Cheap looking plexiglass panels were placed over the openings in the hallways to prevent cold weather from causing the elevators to break. To date (7-11-18) the panels are still up. The reason: they have nowhere to store the panels if they take them down. They make the place look dumpy...not the luxury apartments that I’m paying for. 8. When it rains, the entry way and mats are soaked. No attempts to sweep the water out or even any warnings that floors/mats are wet. 9. I’ve been here since 9/28/18 and the hallway on the 4th floor was cleaned for what I believe to be the first time. 10. Kitchen sink does not have any sprayer type nozzle. 11. Appliances including washer/dryer are definitely not top of the line. 12. My apartment is very quiet.... I hope this helps when considering moving into The Vinings!

I visited the Vinings of Hurstbourne recently. WOW! What a beautiful property! I saw the models and a 2 bedroom vacant apartment. I love the 2 bedroom! GET THIS....the 2 bedroom was $100 less and I got one month free! Something else pretty awesome is, I get a referral fee for everyone I send to them that moves in! I cannot wait to move in! The staff made me feel welcomed! They are very professional! LOVE! LOVE!! LOVE!!!
