Property Ratings at Georgetown
Property appearance is super important to them but taking care of the individual units is not. My patio fences are rotted and falling down and the gate cannot be opened properly. Neighbors are permitted to disturb you with large unruly animals and are still asked to renew leases. I have been advised that my peeling tub is likely not bad enough to be fixed and my freezer destroys all my food. I was recently told that I cannot add residents to my lease unless they can pay the rent in full on their own. I was shocked at this, it makes it impossible for one to care for family, when you are already approved as the financially responsible party. I am not happy with how unaccomidating and superficial this complex is. It is only beneficial due to the price and location but I do not feel that I can stay here much longer. Seems that they don't appreciate, quite, clean, early paying tenents here.
Property Manager at Georgetown, Responded To This Review
Hello, my name is Jennifer and I am the Regional Manager for Georgetown. Please contact me at your earliest convenience so we can discuss your issues. My email is jradcliffe@homesteadcos.com.
The location is the best thing about this apartment. Maintenance people are all very nice. The office manager, not so much. They will do the bare minimum on your apartment. They used to do some small updates when you renewed your lease. Now, they do absolutely nothing. They advertise having security cameras, but these are absolutely useless. They don't cover the entire property and probably don't work well at night. There have been numerous incidents in the parking lot including break ins, vandalism, and recently a car theft.

Please feel free to contact me directly, jradcliffe@homesteadcos.com so that we can discuss your concerns. Thank-you, Jennifer Radcliffe
To start off, I am going on 2 years being a resident at Georgetown apartments and I have nothing but wonderful things to say. Our townhome is gorgeous, with the exposed brick wall in our kitchen to the nicely styled wood floors. Furthermore, our carpets were new when we moved in, as well as new blinds on our windows. The area feels secure and safe for two young ladies living alone, it is nicely lit in the parking lots at night and we have never not had a parking spot right outside our doors. The ladies in the leasing office are nothing short of spectacular, they have always responded promptly to each and every email we have sent, more than we could have ever asked for. When communicating with the property manager, everything is seamless. For the location, the price is extremely reasonable. I honestly could go on forever about the joys of living here, but all in all, just wanted to spread the word of a great place to check out when you’re hunting for a good spot to live.
I have lived in Georgetown apartments for a year. The office and maintenance staff, and especially the property manager Jennifer are very rude, arrogant, and condescending. You can walk by them and say hi, and they will not even acknowledge you. They claim to have security cameras, but there are constant break ins in the cars outside. The coded gate has been broken for 2/3 of the time I've lived here. While the apartments on the outside look okay, the insides of the apartments are falling apart. The carpet is cheap and will most likely not be cleaned before you move in. The air conditioning and heater are loud enough to wake you up at night when they start running. There are no overhead lights, so bring lamps. Pets are allowed, but by no means is the management pet friendly at all. While living here, they decided to close the dog area because of poor waste pickup. They put a chain on the gate and a sign that said that they provide bags for cleanup. Mind you, in a year, they've only refilled said bags three times. There are laundry facilities on site. However, unless you are there the whole time, your clothes will be removed from the washers/dryers by other tenants. I had major issues with lost items and even walked into another tenant going through my laundry so I had to rent a washer for my apartment. I moved in here because it was the only place that had vacancies in the area. I do not recommend this apartment to anyone. My biggest advice is to take pictures of the apartment at move in because they will try to charge you for things that were already damaged.

Our mission is to provide the best resident experience possible. We understand that you feel that you did not receive that. I have been the community manager here for over 8 years and I pride myself in making sure that all aspects of our community can be the best that they can be. We do have a community that was built in 1963 so the owner is in the process of conducting several upgrades to the exteriors as well as the interiors of the apartments. Our dog park needed to be closed to allow new grass to grow in since it had been affected by our wet winter in 2016-2017. We do provide clean-up bags at 3 different locations around the community and refill them weekly as needed. Our gates were open, not because they were not functioning, but because there was a new federal law enacted that required us to get special photo sensors installed before we closed them again. We keep our residents informed with monthly e-newsletters as well as paper notifications or any issues around the Clintonville area. I can always be contacted by my email, jradcliffe@livehahu.com. We never want someone to dislike where they live so we are always open to discuss these issues while you are still living here so we can improve your personal experience at our community.
Great location, large rooms. Fenced in patio, recycling on site.
I have lived in Georgetown Apartments for over a year now and I have to say that in all the places I’ve lived in Columbus it is by far the best. I moved to Columbus to attend school and I have moved every single year since, I have lived in many different apartments and each landlord was more crooked than the last. I was consistently cheated on my bills and deposits and so I was wary of every new place that I moved. After moving to Georgetown I can finally say that I feel like this place is home. The property managers are wonderful, they know me by name and communicate with my quickly and frequently. The maintenance staff is friendly and very quick to come fix anything you might have trouble with in your home. If they cannot fix it quickly they will always communicate that to you and explain the reasoning behind it. The complex is very well maintained, they just repaired the sidewalks, and the landscaping is beautiful and well kept. It’s extraordinarily pet friendly with designated baskets for dog poops and a small fenced in area for the neighborhood dogs to run around and interact with leashes. Living here has been a wonderfully refreshing experience and I can only hope that it will continue. I have no plans of moving anytime soon.
