Georgetown provides a sprawling suburban community just across the Little Ogeechee River and only 14 miles southwest of downtown Savannah. This quiet neighborhood serves as a melting pot for those who want the convenience of downtown amenities with the quiet tight-knit community of a smaller town.
Conveniently located to I-95, Georgetown has been the site of recent development intended to bring in residents looking outside the density of historic Savannah. With a busy business and shopping district, excellent schools, and the short distance to Tybee Island there’s plenty to do.

Property Ratings at Georgetown Oaks
Great customer service ! Friendly atmosphere, management is informative.
DO NOT RENT HERE. There was a violent shooting in the past year, drug-environment in complex that the staff is aware of, and the staff’s communication is dishonest. Document everything in email and have your lawyer ready because the manager will lie.
Is going on my third year here and I'm still very much pleased with my apartment all the employees and staff members are very professional. Especially the maintenance guy West no matter what time no matter what the issue he gets the job done. He give you his word and make things happen for you. Keep up the good work
Was a resident here for 2 years. Within that time there were at minimum 3 different property managers and atleast 4-5 different front desk agents. The majority of which have been great, but unfortunately current staff has nonchalant tendencies. The community is okay for the most part, but several units could use renovations. Maintenance staff is great & very friendly, but office staff needs work. Several times I had emergent issues in my unit & front desk agents lacked urgency in handling concerns. Calling and going into the office only yielded excuses and attitudes from staff. I had to call corporate line & complain to them in order for office staff to acknowledge issues and send maintenance out to do necessary work. Current staff is the main reason why I decided against renewing my lease at this property after being a resident here for many years. I really did enjoy the location and environment here, but was extremely uncomfortable with living at a place where leasing staff acted as if they could care less about tenant issues and concerns.

I’ve lived at this property for 2 years and not once have I had an issue. If there was an issue that came about, it was handled in a prompt manner. The staff is great and very informative. I have no complaints with this property.
I couldn't be any happier with the location here at George town crossing. You have a little bit of everything just a few mins away. Not to mention the great staff they have here! Again Beautiful property!!
We have lived here for 3 years and really like, but do to a relocation of work, we need to move to another state. The office stuff is very friendly and competent. They are always professional and caring to give us the highest quality of service. The maintenance personal is also very professional, David is always there to help in a timely manner. It's really a great place to live.
Pet deposits are not deposits merely smoke and mirrors for a generous donation on your behalf to GCA followed with monthly pet rent The entire facility is covered with fire ants as well If you own a pet find one of the better options in Georgetown
My husband and I lived here for four years (2014-2018). Pros include that the area is great and very convenient, maintenance always responded in a timely manner and the property manager Sherry was always helpful. The only cons would be the bugs during the summer months but pest control did help a lot !
This is what one of my children constantly says after visiting me at Georgetown Crossing! Living here and being recently retired is like resort living every day. Impeccable grounds, splendid amenities, and aspacious living area make this an ideal community. Additionally, the current management team and staff have gone above and beyond to ensure we have our needs met. Always gracious and respectful the team does an amazing job hosting community events, securing packages, and more. I recently left my apartment unsure of whether or not I locked the door. I was so grateful for the quick response assuring me that all was secured. I realize that people are more inclined to write reviews when things don't appear to go well. However, I can speak for "the silent majority". If an apartment complex is what you are seeking, you will not find a more welcoming place to live your best life! Thanks for all you do Georgetown Crossing!!!
Don't get me wrong; this place is absolutely beautiful, and very clean. I love my apartment and it is well-priced. But the rude and miserable staff and management makes me want to move very badly. Latoya at the front desk is so rude, and broadcasts her displeasure every time you walk in to pick up a package or to ask a question. The property manager is also so high-strung and unapproachable. If that wasn't bad enough, this year they rolled out new policies so you have to pay to have guests at the pool and other facilities. Let me be clear: It was NOT like this when we first moved in here, so perhaps management and staff has changed or something. Regardless, this is how they treat their tenants now so I would advise that, if you can afford to, live somewhere else. Also: I have seen positive reviews on other sites that are written by Latoya, an employee of the complex so I wouldn't be surprised if some of the positive reviews here are also fabricated.

Dear Resident, This is Sherry, I sincerely apologize for how you are feeling and would love the opportunity to discuss ways that our team can improve our customer service. Our goal is to provide professional and friendly service at all times. I am not sure how long you have been a resident here but I have managed the community for going on 5 years and I would never want to appear unapproachable. I will speak with my team today about ways that we can avoid making anyone feel this way and again we appreciate all of our residents and realize that you are the reason we are here. I would like to clarify that we are unable to charge guests for using the amenities and we have never had this policy, there is a limit to # of guests that may use the pool and an adult resident must be with their guests at all times. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly and I will do everything within my ability to improve your experience here at Georgetown Crossing Apartments.
Prime location !! And the staff team there are great!!!
I have been residing at Georgetown Crossing for a couple of years and I LOVE IT!! The maintenance team is friendly and very reliable. My apartment is beautiful, it has black appliances, huge closets and an enormous garden style tub. The office staff is professional and provides outstanding customer service. I love the hammocks and fire pit. The only thing I would have wanted to change when I first moved in, is the fitness center, because it is too small...but I am pleased to find out that they are building a new much larger fitness center this year. Best place ever!!!
I've lived at Georgetown Crossing for over two years and I am very happy with it! My dog and I are always treated with warmth and professionalism. My two bedroom apartment is spacoius and well appointed. Maintenance issues are addressed very promptly. The grounds and common areas are maintained at all times! I highly recommend this complex!
The hammock yard is nice, but this place unfortunately had a bug problem since day one and the pest control did not seem to stop the huge roaches that live in this building. I also did not like that there were several car break-ins during my stay here. I have lived in apartments before so I was used to loud noises coming through the ceiling and wall. The maintenance guys were timely which was a plus, but overall we could have found something much better for the price.

Dear valued resident, we appreciate you giving us feedback. We strive to provide the most quality living experience possible. We respect your opinions and like the opportunity to see things from our residents prospective. Our pest control service is fantastic at making sure our interior living environment is free of roach infestations, but unfortunately we are not able to control the outdoor variety. These pesky insects, prefer to live outdoors, but will come inside seeking water...the South is a beautiful place to live, but this is one of the disadvantages. As for crime in the Georgetown area, we keep everyone informed of these instances and understand how frustrating it can be, but crime has no address, as we all know. Georgetown is a wonderful area and has had minimal issues, regarding crime. The office actually discovered that the majority of car entries, were due to the fact people forgot to lock their vehicles. Thank you for making our community your home and giving us the pleasure of having you as part of our wonderful Georgetown Crossing Family.

So sorry for your experience, the Georgetown Crossing Team strives to solve all issues in a satisfactory manner. We provide weekly pest control upon request every Thursday, however the outside variety of roaches do occasionally get inside. Living in such a warm and wet climate plays a huge factor. In the past four years working and living at our beautiful community, there have been no confirmed reports of any interior dwelling roaches. Unfortunately crime can happen anywhere you live. We encourage our residents to practice safe habits, such as locking your car doors and remove valuables, in order to reduce the risk of vulnerability to these type crimes. Your feedback is helpful and will only assist us in improving our service.
I've lived here for over a year and I absolutely love it! The maintenance staff is quick and I feel safer having the courtesy officers on-site that I can call if ever need be. I'd recommend it here.
I do not recommend this apartment complex. They have bed bugs and not just in one apartment but the whole building has them( I know for a fact because I asked everyone that lived in the same building). We complained to the office about the problem but they never did anything about it and then they tried to charge us $500 for them when we was moving out.
Property Manager at Georgetown Oaks, Responded To This Review
This resident in this case moved in to Georgetown Crossing in March 2015 and moved out in October 2015 on an 8 month lease, brought bed bugs into the apartment and was charged for professional treatments of the apartment. On October 31st, 2015 the resident came to the office to turn in keys at move-out and stated "we will not be taking our couch with us because it has bed bugs". The apartment was immediately professional treated and the resident was charged for bed bug treatments and disposal of the furniture (as per their lease agreement). All residents sign a Bed Bug Addendum stating that if they bring bed bugs in to the apartment they are responsible for the treatment cost. The bed bug contamination was restricted to their apartment and no other apartments were effected (protocol is to professionally check all apartments in the area). The resident became very angry. Georgetown Crossing has NO active cases of bed bugs and at no time did an entire building become active with bed bugs. The above "review" is a fabrication from an angry former resident. All the facts regarding this case are available and on file with the Community Manager.
Nice 3rd floor apartment located on the southside of Savannah. Large living room and bedroom, big balcony overlooking fire pit and hammock . Big bathroom with vanity area. Great location near I-95 and mall.
